If you are getting a small black box on your desktop this should fix your issue with every Fate game released on steam and if this helps you fix your issue please check me out on Twitch :D

I will also be uploading this guide to all 4 Fate games currently on steam for maximum visibility for everyone with this issue!

Regardless on where you installed the game you should see this folder named WildTangent in your ProgramData folder on your pc.


After locating the folder when you open it you should see a folder for each of the Fate games


click on whichever one you are currently trying to play.

You should see a persistent folder that will likely be empty just leave the folder open we will get back to it.

Using the link below will bring you to a website from the official WildTagent support site at the very bottom of the page you will see a purple highlighted file called config.dat you will click on to install the file.

Now just drag and drop the file into the persistent folder


and boom your game should launch properly
