When choosing a set, each one gives different stats. Example: Champion gives Attack, HP, Crit Rate, and Resistance. Great if you like extra attack, survivability, and crit.

The problem is, if you don’t have items from that set, you can’t progress it efficiently.

All of this happens in Set Research (found in the menu). This is where you donate gear to level up your sets and unlock permanent bonuses.
This has nothing to do with equipping — you're feeding items into the research to level it.

- Items with a set icon give full progress for that set
- Items without a set icon give half progress, but can be used in any set

Example:
Savante Boots (with icon) = +280 progress to Savante
Random Boots (no icon) = +140

If you don’t have items from the set you want, craft them at the Blacksmith.
Look for the set icon — for example, Champion has a green sword with an infinity symbol.
Even one crafted piece is enough to start donating.

🔧 Reforging – Is It Worth It?
Tested reforging two throwing daggers:
- Each dagger = 364 progress
- Reforged into one = 546

Result: Not worth it. Two separate give 728, which is way better. Keep items separate for research.

Account Wide
Set Research progress is account wide, not tied to one character. Any character on your account benefits from the bonuses.

🚩 My Advice
Unless you're 100% sure you're playing one set until endgame or when the sun *sets*, do not dump everything into one set early.

It's way better to get all sets to level 5 first to unlock the first-tier bonuses across the board. This helps massively in early and mid game.

Once you know your main setup, then you can focus on pushing a set further.

- Every 10 levels, a set unlocks a secondary effect
- If the set is level 10+, you can select a secondary bonus from it
- If you also wear 3 pieces of the same set, the bonus stacks

Example:
- Set at level 10 = gets the bonus
- Wearing 3 pieces of it = gets the bonus again
- This can show as "duplicated" in the UI, that it’s normal, it’s stacking

- ✅ Use matching set items for full progress
- ✅ Non-set items work but give half
- ❌ Do NOT waste items reforging for set upgrades
- ✅ Set Research bonuses are account wide
- ✅ Get all sets to level 5 first before focusing deep into one
- 🔓 Level 10 unlocks secondary set effects
