How to Skip the update
1. Exit Steam if it's running by right clicking on it in the task bar and hitting clicking Exit

2. go to your steam folder open steamapps and then you open this file with notepad appmanifest_45750.acf then you make state flag 4

3. then you scroll down and find manifest the number will be "8392302490593567738" you change it to "1565975651610400996" (Which is the latest manifest id you can find on https://steamdb.info/depot/45751/manifests/) then save changes

4. Now run Steam and you will find that it will not ask you to update lost planet 2 and it will stay on GFWL

if the game gets any other update you go thru the same process but use the latest manifest id from https://steamdb.info/depot/45751/manifests/

Maybe for naming some "other" tools or specific things related to some processes I made but it doesn't matter. Mostly I was expressing myself how thankful I am because of your guides and support. Deleting those files did the trick! Thanks again and cheers from Argentina!!

you probably have leftover dlls you need to follow the guide word by word
you should delete xlive.dll and xlive.pdb from your game directory and it will work

Hey Malk! thank you for your reply. Yeah maybe I expressed myself in the wrong way, what I meant is that I tried both guides yes... But the fact is the same: There's no way that GFWL shows in game, the "home" key is dead, also the GFWL functions in game has no interaction (greyed-like). I even tried last night to connect a real LAN cable between my pc and my brother's and not even the LAN game is available. Both for my brother and I "Lost planet 2" is now just another single player game. I'll give it one more try and, if you don't mind, post again if I got lucky

this shouldn't affect the game at all you probably had another issue all this does is trick steam into thinking you have updated the game while not updating
if previous install worked then this is some weird issue you got but anyways
this guide is not for downgrading there is another guide i made you should try:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3489674665
that is a link to the downgrade guide you should try it and it should fix your issue

I did this and sadly this doesn't work for me. I did this just in case to keep my old-GFWL version but when I try to run the game it gets stuck in a black screen (both DX9 and DX11) and then it stops working. Then I updated the game which runs well and then I repeat this steps to roll back the game but there's no way the GFWL interface appears in game. I uninstall, reinstalled both game and GFWL with the one recommended here in some guides, deleted newest profile folders in "my documents" (Capcom\Lost planet 2 directory)... I even did registry cleaning and nothing: GFWL got wasted and doesn't want to appear again... any help? thanks in advice
