Initially, it was an order from one of the servers, but most of my developments were never used. I posted them simply as textures, but one of the subscribers wanted to make a room for streams, but didn't know how to put textures through the admin mode. So I took it more seriously and made the ability to craft through the menu. Later, having gained experience, I added tables and chairs with lighting. Now, realizing that over time everyone will switch to build 42, I'm preparing a large-scale update. Since I have already put in a lot of effort, it would be a shame if everything disappeared in a year or two.
I haven't asked myself this question, to be honest. I suppose whoever wants to will subscribe. What does the small number of subscribers say...
I don't remember a specific mod. There's a mod for basements, for example, where you're basically transported to the other end of the map. Of course, it's more of a hack, but on some servers it's used as a teleport. I played 99% of my hours on servers that had a lot of stuff like that, including magic or potions with skills, experience diaries, etc. So I'm already used to that kind of content.
However, I agree that my mod doesn't fit into the vanilla game's lore. And it has no practical application.
They fit into the local lore no worse than modern machines, magic, teleportation and much more. To stick to the concept of the vanilla game or not is everyone's choice :)
(just look at how many mods are now completely unrelated to the real world).
