- First, right-click on the game and verify the games files. It may download some of them.

- After that, go to the game directory. Typically, this is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Petz Horsez 2

Open up the boot.txt and change the line GameDataPath to:

The game has its own save directory and normally, it would copy this directory into your user account at C:\Documents and Settings. But somehow, the saves in the user directory are garbled. This doesn't happen if you use the original directory in the game folder.

If the game still doesn't run, try changing this:

My LCD only runs at 60Hz so I had to use this.

You can also run the game in a window. Works much better, so it doesn't get stretched. Open up the boot.txt and change this line:

This will only work when you run the game the first time. To keep the windowed setting, you have to edit the file Game_Options.txt inside the "Pets Horsez 2/Save directory and make sure this line is in there:

I'm planning to play through the whole game. As of know, I encountered the following bugs:

1. I can't find Oliver after my first dressage

Yep, that's because he isn't there. When you do your first dressage and you fail it (for example, by jumping an obstacle from the wrong side), it kicks you out.

You can't do the dressage again because it's locked but if you fail it, Oliver doesn't appear.

Just do the dressage without failure and save beforehand.
