Owl's Extra Origins

Description
Simple quick mod which adds a number of extra origins. Completely unbalanced and with minimal testing!

  • Feudal Ascension, focused on vassals and subjugating empires with a decent penalty to empire system size as a result

  • Abyssal Dwellers. A void dwellers origin that leans hard into the "void" aspect, starting in the orbit of a black hole.

  • Fallen Precurors. Extragalactic cluster origin starting in a ringworld, with debuffed military and a focus on technology and diplomancy (Or, if you prefer, meddling in the affairs of the galaxy)

  • Solar Consolidation, a machine empire resource consolidation origin that focuses on not just consolidating a planet - but an entire solar system into a central machine world.

  • Hive Consolidation. Effectively a biological hivemind equivalent to the vanilla resource consolidation, using a hive world as the start. Likely to start with a resource deficit though!
  • Nanomachine Uprising. Start as a machine empire on a Nanite world with early access to a variety of nanomachine traditions, nanite production, and increased build speed
  • Brain bugs! Like Starship troopers rather than researching technologies yourself through researchers, your main source of research is through purging enemy pops with the new "Brain sucking" purge type.

And hopefully more to come! Feedback and ideas greatly appreciated!

Awesome mod! I just have one problem with the precursor mod that spawns in a separate cluster. Using that origin, it spawned me outside in the cluster as it should, but the nearby systems spawned off to the left in a straight line and each system gets farther out, until several systems are so far off my screen that even when I zoom all the way out I can't see them.

Not currently no, it's meant to be a more research/diplomacy (or espionage) focused start

For the fallen precursors origin, are you able to remove the debuffs eventually?

The brainbugs one I made for the mod was loosely inspired by starship troopers, intel would probably be a bit more accurate to ST but I wanted to experiment and make an interesting twist to a devouring swarm science thing

Ok great to here

Just a thought on the brain bugs. I always interpreted brainbugs stealing knowledge as an Intel gathering thing.

I could look into it for sure!

Great mod, any chance on Void Dwellers starting in a nebula?
