What is REPO?
REPO on steam:
  • the game R.E.P.O. – it's a cooperative horror game that launched in Early Access on Steam on February 26, 2025. Developed by the Swedish indie studio Semiwork, R.E.P.O. (short for Retrieve, Extract and Profit Operation) quickly went viral, drawing over 230,000 concurrent players in its first weekend and receiving “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews on Steam.

About the Gameplay
  • R.E.P.O. is often compared to Lethal Company, but it has its own unique style:

  • You play in teams of up to 6 players, working together to retrieve valuable loot from dangerous locations.

  • Realistic physics is a core mechanic — you can throw, drop, or drag items, and even monsters are affected by gravity.

  • Procedurally generated levels and time-limited missions make each run feel different. The longer you stay, the more dangerous it gets.

  • Proximity voice chat and a tense atmosphere lead to a mix of horror and hilarious chaos, thanks to ragdoll physics and clumsy robot characters.

  • Between missions, you can spend your earnings on permanent upgrades, new tools, and survival gear.
What is coming to REPO in the near future? Recent Updates:One of the standout mechanics is called “Overcharge”, which increases the game's difficulty every 10 levels. Initially, it was always active, but based on community feedback, the devs tweaked it to strike a better balance between challenge and fun. What's ComingThe developers have exciting plans for the future, including:
      • VR support

      • Crossplay

      • New monsters and features
Importantly, Semiwork stated they won’t add microtransactions or paid cosmetics. They want to keep the game fair and enjoyable without monetizing it aggressively.
