What Makes a Good Blue Gem Pattern?

For Blue Gem skins, the pattern seed determines how the metallic blue, purple, and gold hues are distributed. Here are some aspects players tend to prefer:

Full Blue Coverage: Some seeds feature larger uninterrupted blue areas, making the skin appear more vibrant and desirable.

Minimal Gold Presence: Certain patterns have less gold or purple, resulting in a cleaner, uniform blue tone that enhances the gem-like aesthetic.

Sorting Methodology

Sorting Automation:

1. Images Convert to Grayscale
If sorting by black, white, or gray, the image is converted to grayscale.
The script used measures the average brightness (from 0 = black to 100 = Blue).

2. Sort Images by Intensity
The script organizes images from least to most dominant in the selected color.

3. Edge Cases
Two images might have nearly identical average brightness, yet their pixel distribution and contrast could make them appear quite different. The sorting mechanism captures these subtle shifts which may not be obvious to human eye.

Disclaimer:
This script calculates the average color across the entire one side of the skin rather than focusing on specific areas. Preferences to areas such as the top side of gloves, the player-facing side of the weapon, and the resting animation of knives influence the overall outcome of the color calculation.
