Squire Missile Corvette

"Designed and put into service before the 2nd SDF-SRG war the Squire Class Missile Corvette is a reliable workhorse of the SRG Navy. The Squire is a compact and lightweight design but able to punch well above its weight thanks to 4 folding missile launchers. Alongside its 4 launchers it also has 4 point defense gatling turrets for protecting itself and other friendly ships. However this makes the Squire unfavorable in a brawl, where its lack of short range anti ship weapons and thin armor leaves it at a major disadvantage. Thanks to a high thrust to weight ratio and jump drive the Squire is highly mobile. The Squire was one of the first SRG ships equipped with its advanced fire control system that automatically handles the deployment of the launchers in conjunction with a powerful tracking radar to guide the missiles onto targets. Able to strike from great distance and leverage their speed to avoid harm the Squire sees heavy use in both large fleet formations and in smaller groups."
