General Information
This guide shows which sets and product bring the highest average profit. By the nature of this guide this will contain spoilers for such things as max selling value and similar. Also a warning: it contains math, so yk be aware of that horror.

This Guide was made for Gecko Shop V0.1.3

! This Guide does not include comparison of Geckos gotten through the Lab or similar because that math is horrible to do and I can't be bothered.
Products
Products can be found next to the box sets in the phone. They consist of substrates & food items which can be sold in shelves.

Currently the best profit per $ is selling normal Sand at the highest value because it returns the investment by 1.46. The next best Option would be selling Red Sand at the highest value with a return of 1.42.

Meaning that stocking your shelves with the most expensive product will not return the fastest.
Geckos
If you want the deep look into the math I recommend skipping to the tables because here I will just summarize what i found.

Normal Box Sets

The best strategy is to always use the next best box that you can buy consistently except for the Box #3 which is worse not only compared too Box #2 but also Box#1!

The highest Average Profit per $ brings Box #6 with 2.54 when selling your geckos at the best prices. (I recommend looking into to the Fandom Wiki for those)

Shiny Box Sets

Shiny Box Sets are not an upgrade to the normal Boxes when it comes to Profit. It always under performs their normal box counterpart.

In the Case of shiny box set 1, 2 & 3 their profit is actually lower then $1. This means if you would sell the geckos you get through them you'd make minus.

Obviously Shiny Boxes are not meant for your usual selling.
Diagrams (Box Sets)
Here is a quick Overview of each Box Set and their profit.

Math Guide
How to read the tables:
Each Box Set has its own table. The Average Prices are calculated by the selling prices and the amount of geckos in each Rarity.

The Weighting is based on how big of a chance each Rarity tier is. (as example common have a chance of 90% in normal boxes. To get the weighted average you need to multiply the average Price * 0.9)

You get the Average Profit per $ by taking all weighted profits together, then multiply by 3 (because each box has 3 geckos) and through the cost of the package.

If you want to know which set is the best when you don't sell a specific rarity you can calculate that by simply leaving that rarity out of the Sum at the end. (That's not the cleanest math to do but it get the job done *shrugs*)

As an Example:
If I would only want to sell Common and Rare Geckos from the Box #1:

97.37 (common Max Sell Price) + 19.04 (rare Max Sell price) = 116,41
(116,41*3)/250(cost of box #1) = 1,39
-> you get on average a profit of 1.39 by only selling common and rare geckos in set Box #1 (if you use max prices).

I only recommend comparing those numbers with other boxes that you left specific rarities out of. Otherwise it just wouldn't be fair :(

I like your graphs and data chart, VERY USEFUL! However, selling sand is not the fastest way to earn money. Its the highest margin product. You make less per dollar selling worms, but you have to sell 10 sand bags before you make as much profit as one worm generates. So while you make less margin, you make money faster by selling higher cost products. Its like comparing selling a candy bar for twice the price you paid, and comparing it to selling a building that made you 10% what you paid. That's alot of candy bars.

I'm not sure how customers choose to buy items, but it seems like they buy everything pretty evenly, so I'm selling a house just as often as a candy bar
