First of All
This is beginner guide for basic mechanic that heavy impact your run, if you are not careful. I will not go too deep in every mechanic. For game difficulty, even if you are good at this type of game you should try normal difficult first and once you start to familiar with hero ability, item building and stat build up for athletes, you can try a higher difficulty!!!.
Picking Beginning Player
First of all,This game is encourage you to change athletes each season. you should only focus on 1 to 2 player based on potential and roles (Jungle, mid and carry is good to focus because they will get a lot of mvp which mean they got a lot of follower).

Based on my opinion.
Top: a role that just need to exist and don't get solo kill by enemy top.
Jungle: a main role for gank other lane.
Mid: similar to top but easier to gang or get ganged than top.
Bot(Carry): main DPS role. a lot of hard carry heroes can only play in here.
Bot(support): there is 2 type of support in this game. DPS support for dealing DPS and debuff enemy. Tank/Buff support for tanking hit and buff allies.

1. Starting Stat
it doesn't matter that much. you should not focus on them.

2. Match Trait and Routine Trait (important)
This Trait can't change later and stay on athletes forever.
Match Trait is passive skill that affect a match against other player. you should try to get a decent trait for each roles.
Routine Trait is a passive skill that affect athletes during training routine and intensive traning.

3. Career Life
Each month career life will randomly decrease (can decrease more than one) . If it is less than 0, your athletes will be force to become retired. 50+ is okay. This game is encourage you to change athletes each new season.

Hero Pool
1. Beginning Hero (Important)
you should try to get a decent hero. IMO all heroes are playable but some of them are just very strong on their own and need to counter or play around. I will show hero recommended below.

1. Hero Limit (Important) This is your maximum hero
Top: 8+ (Top hero are very good and have a lot of playstyle but you can also just spam 2-3 hero)
Jungle: 6+ (There is only few hero that can play jungle, you can choose 2-3 to main then forget the rest)
Mid: 8+ (Same reason as Top)
Carry: 6+ (This is the most fun role, Most Carry have difference playstyle by design)
Support: 8+ (A lot of counter hero or synergy hero can only play in support role)
*Versatility is your playstyle loadout. if you have more than one, you can swap your match trait, perks and combat card later.

2. Hero Adaptation (Important) This is how easy to mastered each type of hero.
This is based on my opinoin. the following should be A+ or a least B.
Top: Fighter, Tank and Gladiator.
Jungle: Assassin (most of Jungle hero are assassin so S if possible)
Mid: Depend on your playstyle. Support is the least one I care.
Carry: Marksman and Mage
Support: Mage and Support

3. Personality
It is a trait that affected your athletes emotion ( doesn't impact game that much).

4. Potential.
for a athletes that you want to keep for long time (Jungle, mid or carry), you should try to reroll until total stat is 550+.
Training Part
There are two main way to main way to focus training your athletes.

1. Routine Training

You can earn basic training course by researching, event, monthly quest and gacha(using coach point). This is best way to focus training on one of your athletes stat.

2. Intensive Training

Compare to basic training, the stat your athletes gain on this one is very low but you will unlock more useful feature later by research. For example, unlocking more hero, hero training and selecting new cards.

3. Extra Exp
The Medals
Others than the main training, you also gain a lot of exp by complete the medals that you have selected during map. There is two type of medals. The one that complete by individual and the team one. You can check by top right.

_
The scrims
You will unlock this feature later by research. This is a good way to Farm training point, athletes stat and hero mastery. Personally, I will go for the training point and hero mastery.

_
* I recommend you to quickly research on scrims and hero pool expansion.
Combat
The more you play the new mechanic that this game will introduce.

1. Hero Mastery

You can gain hero mastery by playing each match, intensive training or scrims. you can reskill later by intensive training but need to research.

2. Item and hero skill

Hero contain 3 type of skill
1. Instinct = passive stat
2. Field = passive that work during auto play phrase.
3. Combat = passive that work during combat phrase.

Item
Later in the game, they will introduce you item building mechanic. Each item will rotate in and out each season. Sometime, the recommend item is very bad that why you should try to build item for each hero and for each match.

3.Field

Basic rule (every thing can change base on the game version)
1. Mana will start increase each round after round 10
2. You can start playing card when the your mana is 8 (Blue always go first).
3. Two type of card. Blue = basic card and Red = card that start combat phrase.
4. There is objective timer at top left and right that can should which hero will participate each objective.
* Tip!!! you should try to kill or harass enemy at the 0 round before objective start.

4.Combat

This is mainly an auto play but some hero have special ability that can target hero before the game start auto play.
Update Rotation
There are two type of rotation. First, minor update is a monthly update that will contain hero rework, new hero and minor game rule change. Major is a seasonal update that will contain all minor update, item rotation and objective rule change (dragon, herald, tower and final)

1.Hero rework and New hero introduce.

New hero that you haven't unlock will be unlocked. For Hero rework, Hero skill will be changed. Most of the hero have 3 difference version of skill. you can check them at archive.

2. Game rule rework

Minor change is a monthly game rule change. usually, it can be anything except objective rule. this is the most important one. some hero can be broken because one rule changed.

Major change is a seasonal change that contain new item rotation, tower hp, tower damage, objective rule and time.
Hiring New Athletes
This game is encourage you to hiring new athletes for each time that season end. There are two main ways to hiring new athletes.

1. During Season

You can select which stat that you want to focus. Each scout have difference skill and stat .You can only hire new one when the season end.
*I don't recommend finding new athletes by this method because athletes usually have lower attribute.

2. At the end of Season

I forgot to screen shot them but this is the best way to get new athletes.
there is 2 phrase.

1. The free one (bad stat but free)
The athletes want to join your team by themself.

2. The RNG one (Best way to get new athletes)
In the RNG one, you have to contract athletes by yourself. you can only contract three time per one week. the more stat the athletes have the lower successful convince rate they have. the chance to successfully convince them is base on your performance each season and your team follower.

*you will repeat this 3 time before it end so you should prioritise the high stat one first then lower stat one when you fail too much.
Hero Tier List
You can completely skip this one. I only do this because it the most fun part XD.
This game is very balanced and all hero are playable but some are very strong when combine with specific item and hero. This is base on my opinion who love play aggressive style and snowball enemy team.

1.Top
For me, top are lane that just need to exist and don't get solo kill then join objective team fight later.
My ideal top is a hero that strong in 1vs1 or just very tank.

S: Always pick, good in team fight and few counter hero.
A: Strong hero.
B: too many counter or a strong hero but wrong lane.

2. Jungle
For me, jungle are lane that need to gank other lane.
My ideal jungle is a hero that have high dps and good at ganking.

S: High dps and easy gank.
A: High dps or easy gank or both but have too many counter.
B: Bad at gank when compare to other hero.

3.Mid
For me, mid are lane that need to get ganked and go gank other lane.
My ideal mid is a hero that either tankly or good at ganking.

S: Tankly or good at ganking.
A: Strong hero.
B: too many counter or a strong hero but wrong lane or hero is a late game scaler.

4. Support
For me, support are hero that need to tanking damage or help team fight while have low networth.
My ideal support is a hero that either tankly or good at buffing/debuffing.

S: Always pick, good at both tanking and buffing/debuffing.
A: Can't do both tanking and buffing/debuffing or need item.
B: This is a late game hero so it is better to play on mid.

5. Bot Lane
For me, bot lane are main dps and need to carry late game teamfight.
My ideal bot lane is a hero that either good at early game or super late game hero.

S: With right item and support hero, this hero is always win you a team fight.
A: Strong hero.
B: playable but underwhelming, need a lot of help from support.

*Overall Tier List
