Update Status
Currently updated through the release of: Heishou Pack - Wu Branch Adept Yi Sang & Heishou Pack - You Branch Sinclair

Minor updates to Burn and moderate updates to Tremor and Rupture. Decided to spin the Heishou variant of the Rupture team into it's own lil list.
Intro
Like my other guide, I'm putting together a public reference for ID information and resources for building teams. The information presented here will be will be a reflection of the research I've been able to collect from resources as I've been able to find them.

A little personal background for context: I've only been playing since about February of 2025, so I'm neither familiar with significantly older team metas nor an exhaustive expert on the game with access to all the tools to extensively test all variations of team compositions. I'm writing this purely as a guide (for myself if nobody else) on what things to work towards. I maybe wouldn't even be writing this if there was a written resource like this that already existed, and maybe there is but I haven't found it yet.

On a related note, one thing I won't be able to address in significant detail is how EGOs fit into the basic team composition recommendations except in the cases where it's well-known that they're important. I'll include a listing of EGOs relevant to each status effect and even try to indicate which ones are worth investing in, but the focus of this guide will be primarily on what IDs you need to make successful teams of the common archetypes.

The first draft of this will have been written just before Season 6 and so the initial ID data will be limited to what's been released up until then. I have a live Google sheet that I'll be updating more frequently which can be found at this link[docs.google.com].
Recommended Teams
Most of the recommended teams in Limbus Company revolve around one of the seven basic "status effects": Burn, Bleed, Tremor, Rupture, Sinking, Poise, and Charge. You may also want to have teams prepared that focus in a particular damage type for content like EXP Luxcavations but the requirements are much looser. Similarly, it's not common, as far as I can tell, to build teams around specific sin affinities since there aren't many active gimmicks or conditionals that are fueled by specific resonances (with the only exception afaik being Envy). Status effects have an associated sin affinity and often the corresponding archetype team lean heavily towards one sin affinity anyways--teams might include unusual choices specifically to work around how stacked the sin resource accumulation might be.

To be clear, the team compositions in this guide are neither my expert opinion, the definitive way to play any given status team, nor based on extensive personal testing. Again, treat these as guidelines for what to work towards. That said, some amount of relative placement does reflect my interpretation of the available resources and experience.

Team recommendations will have Mandatory, Core, Recommended, Alternative, and Support IDs listed. Mandatory IDs are the rare few IDs that are extremely team-enabling, and while it's very possible to have a functioning team without them you should be expecting to have them to build around to maximize the team's potential. "Core" IDs are IDs that also have high priority for inclusion in the team as well, but may be less team-defining--you should still be trying to include them if you have them available. Recommended IDs are intermediate; they're generally good enough to be included in a team and reflect the first options you should choose from to fill in available spaces. Alternative IDs are IDs that are also decent enough to be included but are meant to be lower priority options you can use to substituted for other IDs if you don't have a higher priority one. Support IDs will include IDs relevant to the status effect for each team.

The listed order in each category reflects my best estimations on relative power rankings. However I may also group IDs either by faction or by sinner for simplicity, in which case I'll indicate in a few basic ways:
  • X > Y = Z: X is superior to Y and Z, which are roughly equal
  • X + Y: the pair of IDs should generally be included together
  • X & Y; or X, Y, Z: these will be groupings of IDs with no particular ordered ranking

For EGOs, ones in bold are more highly recommended and generally worth investing in. There will be a few included for completeness that I explicitly would not recommend using, indicated by strikethrough.
Burn
From what I understand, Burn has had a bit of resurgence during Season 5, with several new Burn IDs supplementing the otherwise more sparse previous powerful offerings. Burn deals fixed damage equal to the Burn Potency at the end of turn and then reduces its Burn Count by one. Burn is the Wrath-associated status effect.

  • Core
    • The Thumb East Capo IIII Meursault
    • Firefist Office Survivor Gregor
    • Lobotomy EGO Magic Bullet Outis: Her Unique Burn, Dark Flame, will allow you to double your normal Burn damage output and is key for pushing damage beyond capped Burn Potency.
    • Liu Association South Section 3 Yi Sang
    • The Thumb East Soldato II Sinclair > Dawn Office Fixer Sinclair: If you're using Thumb Meursault, Thumb Sinclair is an easy choice to bring along, else it's slightly more ambiguous whether it's worth bringing Dawn Sinclair if you have him.
    • LCE EGO Ardor Blossom Star: Does big damage, stacks Burn on herself, and then self-destructs with her Skill 3 at 30+ Burn Potency; if you include her you'll want to be sure you have at least one extra reserve ready to go.
  • Recommended
    • Liu Association South Section 4 Director Rodion > Liu Association South Section 4 Ishmael: You'll have room for one to two of the these.
    • Cinq Association East Section 3 Don Quixote
  • Alternatives
    • Heishou Pack - You Branch Sinclair & The Lord of Hongyuan Hong Lu: In the absence of other options, Heishou Sinclair is fine to bring for Burn, +/- Lord Hong Lu, who gains a little Burn with Heishou Sinclair's Contaminated Bolus. Keep in mind you can and possibly should slot Sinclair as an 8th and bring another Heishou (Ryoshu works well here but any will do) to turn 1 cycle Sinclair in using Hong Lu's defensive skill.
    • The Ring Pointillist Student Yi Sang >> The Ring Pointillist Student Outis, Kurokumo Clan Captain Ishmael + Kurokumo Clan Wakashu Heathcliff: All IDs that deal more damage with more status effects inflicted upon enemies.
    • Edgar Family Chief Butler Ryoshu: A useable quasi-alternative to Magic Bullet Outis.
    • RB Chef de Cuisine Ryoshu: A similarly useable quasi-alternative to Dawn Sinclair.
    • Liu Association South Section 4 Ryoshu: Other Liu IDs are not worth fielding.
    • W Corp L2 Cleanup Agent Faust, Lobotomy EGO Regret Faust, The Middle Little Brother Meursault, Molar Office Fixer Outis: Reasonable options for generating sin resources that Burn teams are often lacking.
    • The Pequod Captain Ishmael

A Burning Fist Pain! (Limbus Company Season 5 - New ID Overview) by Kaskozhuk, uploaded Mar 8, 2025 - release overview for Firefist Gregor and Cinq East Don, including relatively modern Burn team recommendations

Bleed
Season 5 has given us a ton of extremely powerful Bleed IDs. Bleed works by dealing damage during each clash round and during each coin flip on the subsequent (or unopposed) attack, equal to the Bleed Potency, and then reducing the Bleed Count by one. Bleed is the Lust-associated status effect.

  • Core
    • The Manager of La Manchaland Don Quixote
    • Kurokumo Clan Wakashu Heathcliff + Kurokumo Clan Captain Ishmael: This pair is a monster for nearly any team but they're explicitly intended for Bleed.
    • The Princess of La Manchaland Rodion
  • Recommended
    • The Barber of La Manchaland Outis = The Priest of La Manchaland Gregor: You should definitely bring a third La Manchaland ID but it's up to preference which of these two it is. You can bring both to have all 4 but you probably shouldn't to avoid eating too many of Manager Don's Hardblood on weaker skills.
    • The Ring Pointillist Student Yi Sang
    • Lobotomy EGO Red Eyes & Penitence = Kurokumo Clan Wakashu Ryoshu: Kind of a toss-up; Red Eyes Ryoshu has unique Bleed mechanics and is overall a very strong ID but KK Ryoshu synergizes with the KK Duo and is probably the top pick for a full split La Manchaland/KK team.
  • Alternatives
    • Kurokumo Clan Wakashu Rodion: The next best pick if you somehow need a third or fourth KK and don't have any of the superior options for the team (including, of course, Princess Rodion).
    • The Ring Pointillist Student Outis
    • The One Who Grips Faust
    • Tingtang Gang Gangleader Hong Lu, Hook Office Fixer Hong Lu
    • The Pequod Harpooner Heathcliff, The Pequod Captain Ishmael, The Pequod First Mate Yi Sang
    • Twinhook Pirates First Mate Gregor
    • RB Chef de Cuisine Ryoshu

Resources
This section is relatively experiential; I don’t have a good resource link but also the options are pretty straightforward. The major Bleed factions all synergize strongly within-faction and have strong linchpins, and so we’re basically picking out where the La Manchaland and Kurokumo IDs overlap the best.
Tremor
Tremor is in a strange and unique spot compared to other status effects. It requires a lot of extra setup and payoff to maximize but it also gives you the most variety of options for what that payoff is. Tremor normally works by raising Stagger Threshold by Tremor Potency whenever the Tremor-inflicted target is hit with any skill or effect that triggers a Tremor Burst. If this sounds really confusing, think of it like Stagger damage from Library of Ruina--you're not directly damaging the enemy's HP but you are bringing them closer to being staggered. Additionally, several IDs and EGOs can apply an Amplitude Conversion, which adds or alters the effects triggered on Temor Burst. For example, Yurodivy & Cavernous Wailing Hong Lu can trigger Tremor - Reverb, which also deals Sloth damage equal to Tremor Potency on Tremor Burst.

Additionally again, Yurodivy Hong Lu and Everlasting Faust have Tremor Superposition, which allows you to combine multiple Amplitude Conversions and even add additional ones after the Superposition is applied, however the resulting combined Amplitude only lasts for one turn before reverting to normal Tremor.

To further complicate things, many IDs use Tremor on themselves as a pseudo-Charge resource for conditionals, but for the most part those aren't relevant for teambuilding.

Tremor is the Sloth-associated status effect.

  • Core
    • District 20 Yurodivy Hong Lu: The traditional pre-Season 6 way to push damage with Tremor requires either Yurodivy Hong Lu or his Cavernous Wailing EGO for access to Tremor - Reverb. Cavernous Wailing is the preferred route since it won't necessitate bringing Yurodivy Hong Lu, who is a respectable Tremor ID but isn't strictly powerful on his own.
    • The Thumb East Capo IIII Meursault + The Thumb East Soldato II Sinclair
    • Lobotomy EGO Regret Faust, Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Adept Faust: Faust unfortunately has no Tremor IDs aside from Regret Faust and so any other high-tier Faust is also an alternative high priority pick just for access to Everlasting--especially Heishou Faust who is baseline a powerful ID but whose tendency for high speed explicitly benefits Everlasting by letting you use it earlier in the turn.
    • Molar Office Fixer Outis, T Corp Class 3 VDCU Staff Outis: Both are roughly the same level of power with different marginal utility, Molar Outis has more consistent damage and T Corp Outis has sharper bonuses to clashing & Time Moratorium (see T Corp Don/Rodion below)
  • Recommended
    • Oufi Association South Section 3 Heathcliff: Can be used to trigger Tremor - Decay, which stacks Defense Level Down per 4 Tremor Potency, which is a meaty alternative to Tremor - Reverb for boosting damage (especially for Sloth-resistant enemies). Combos unusually well with the Heishou units & Lord Hong Lu if you decide to go that route, since they all hit like trucks.
    • T Corp Class 3 Collection Staff Don Quixote, T Corp Class 2 Collection Staff Rodion: Borderline Core depending on whether or not you want to make use of Time Moratorium from their Skill 3, which can be powerful but is an additional layer of setup and payoff on top of Tremor and can be a little obnoxious if you're not careful about triggering it. Time Moratorium freezes and stores damage for the turn it's applied and the following turn and then triggers at the end of that turn as a big chunk of bonus Sloth damage; again, can be very powerful as long as you're very deliberate about eg not applying it on something you were right about to kill anyways (or to something that resists Sloth damage). Time Moratorium also triggers on re-application so bringing multiple sources can allow you to chain the bonus damage. Don is somewhat ironically the worst Time Moratorium apply-er since it can uncontrollably both trigger and come coupled with Tremor - Chain, which is one of the least desirable Amplitude Conversions.
    • The Lord of Hongyuan Hong Lu + Heishou Pack - Wu Branch Adept Yi Sang: Heishou Yi Sang is a decent inclusion for Tremor on his own (would still rate as Recommended), but his Contaminated Bolus buff also makes Lord Hong Lu a respectable addition, especially if you have Cavernous Wailing and also especially if you also bring Heishou Faust.
    • Zwei Association West Section 3 Ishmael
    • Molar Office Fixer Yi Sang
  • Alternatives
    • Dieci Association South Section 4 Hong Lu: One of the best non-Yurodivy option for Hong Lu if you have Cavernous Wailing and but not Yurodivy and need to include him.
    • Rosespanner Workshop Rep Rodion: Rodion's Effervescent Corrosion stacks a ton of Tremor Count.
    • The Ring Pointillist Student Yi Sang > The Ring Pointillist Student Outis

Rupture
Rupture has had a big shakeup at the start of Season 6 from both the release of several new powerful Rupture IDs and the nerf to Talisman Sinclair’s passive, which upended the previously most-optimal-but-relatively-setup-heavy Rupture playstyle. Now things are back to being a little more freeform in line with most other teams (and Devyat Sinclair and Branch of Knowledge are finally free). Rupture is mechanically identical to Sinking and works similar to Burn & Bleed, dealing damage by Rupture Potency and then reducing Rupture Count by one on trigger, however that trigger is on hit instead of automatically which means its Count needs to be carefully managed similar to Bleed & Sinking. Rupture is the Gluttony-associated status effect.

We're far enough into Heishou releases that I'm going to spin off the Heishou team into its own section similar to how Poise has two teams. Keep in mind you can always mix and match these depending on what you have available.

  • General Rupture
    • Core
      • Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Adept Faust >> Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Ryoshu = Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Outis
      • W Corp L3 Cleanup Agent Yi Sang: Especially with Dimension Shredder
      • Cinq Association West Section 3 Meursault
    • Recommended
      • Devyat Association North Section 3 Sinclair & Devyat Association North Section 3 Rodion
      • Lobotomy EGO Lantern Don Quixote
      • The Lord of Hongyuan Hong Lu: Does not rate highly on his own but gains power as you add more Hieshou & Jia units to the team.
      • Heishou Pack - Wu Branch Adept Yi Sang & Family Hierarch Candidate Ishmael: Heishou Yi Sang is a lukewarm option for Rupture in isolation (Dimension Shredder attenuates some of his Rupture maintenance problems) but is juiced by--and turbojuices up--Hierarch Ishmael, who is otherwise a much lower tier pick.
    • Alternatives
      • Heishou Pack - You Branch Sinclair = Heishou Pack - Si Branch Gregor > Heishou Pack - Si Branch Rodion
      • Fanghunt Office Fixer Hong Lu, K Corp Class 3 Excision Staff Hong Lu: Reasonable choices as a vehicle for Lasso.
      • Seven Association South Section 6 Director Outis = Seven Association South Section 4 Faust > Seven Association South Section 4 Heathcliff
      • The Princess of La Manchaland Rodion
      • LCCB Assistant Manager Ishmael
      • Rosespanner Workshop Fixer Gregor
  • Heishou Rupture
    • Mandatory
      • The Lord of Hongyuan Hong Lu: The lynchpin for this entire setup, else you just have a generic Rupture team as above.
    • Core
      • Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Adept Faust >> Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Ryoshu = Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Outis > Heishou Pack - Si Branch Gregor
      • Heishou Pack - You Branch Sinclair: You should include Heishou Sinclair but also consider doing so in your 8th slot as a first sub in, which helps jumpstart his SP and lets him start rolling with his unique buff right away.
    • Recommended
      • Heishou Pack - Wu Branch Adept Yi Sang & Family Hierarch Candidate Ishmael: Same story as for the general team here; Heishou Yi Sang is a powerful support for this team and gets more so with Hierarch Ishmael, who is very underwhelming unless she is also paired with Heishou Yi Sang. This is tough to rate because the pair puts Yi Sang on par with the Core IDs but it may be tricky to squeeze in Hierarch Ishmael too.
      • Heishou Pack - Si Branch Rodion: Heishou Rodion gets bumped up to Recommended but is lower priority both for being a low-priority buff to Hong Lu and because she has an important viable alternative Recommended ID...
      • Devyat Association North Section 3 Rodion, Devyat Association North Section 3 Sinclair: Special mention as powerful Rupture IDs whose retreat mechanics become an important utility for this team.

Sinking
Sinking is a powerful status effect archetype that seems to have slightly fallen by the wayside a bit recently--there's notably fewer Sinking IDs and several Sinners have effectively none (Ryoshu has none outright, Love/Hate Don technically has some marginal token Sinking, Mariachi Sinclair also has Sinking but is among the worst IDs in the game). Sinking works similar to Rupture; it is applied to enemies and then is triggered by additional attacks, either dealing SP or Gloom damage (the latter if the enemies have no SP or are at -45 SP) equal to the Sinking Potency and then decreasing Sinking Count by one. So obviously, Sinking is the Gloom-associated status effect.

    • Effloresced EGO Spicebrush Yi Sang: Like the T Corp IDs, Spicebrush Yi Sang is borderline Core depending on whether you want to make use of Sinking Deluge on his Skill 3, which pops the entire Sinking stack to turn it into a huge Count x Potency nuke. (I ended up getting all the damage MD achievements in one go without paying attention and with an extremely suboptimal Sinking team on the last boss of an MD run thanks to Sinking Deluge.)
    • R Corp 4th Pack Reindeer Hong Lu = R Corp 4th Pack Reindeer Ishmael: Both are good substitutions if you don't have their primary Core IDs, however you should avoid using both of them in the same team to avoid doubling up on skills that can backfire on your team.

Poise
Poise has enough available IDs that we can divide things further into two distinct Slash- and Pierce-based Poise teams. Unfortunately, the Pierce team's most powerful iteration hard requires two paired Walpurgisnacht IDs. Fortunately, if you don't have either full team you can also kind of make do with simply mashing the two compositions together, taking the best available from each to have a passable full Poise team. Poise gives a unit a chance to critical hit (for base 1.2x damage multiplier) based on the Poise Potency (Poise Potency x 5%), Poise Count is reduced by one either on a successful crit or at turn end. Poise is the Pride-associated status effect.

  • Slash Team
    • Mandatory
      • Blade Lineage Mentor Meursault: The slash team is built mostly around Blade Lineage IDs, and Meursault both juices them all up and is extremely powerful on his own.

Charge
Like Poise, Charge is a status effect that generally applies to the ID using it, and typically involves a now-traditional-for-RPGs system of skills that build and then spend the resource, in this case Charge (both Count and Potency). Charge is the Envy-associated status effect.

  • Mandatory
    • W Corp L3 Cleanup Captain Outis: W Corp Outis is the engine that makes this team work most effectively since her main gimmick is funneling Charge into the rest of the team.
  • Core
    • Lobotomy EGO The Sword Sharpened with Tears Rodion
    • Lobotomy EGO In the Name of Love and Hate Don Quixote > W Corp L3 Cleanup Agent Don Quixote
    • Lobotomy EGO Red Eyes & Penitence Ryoshu, W Corp L3 Cleanup Agent Ryoshu: Ryoshu has a guaranteed slot with either of these IDs. Red Eyes Ryoshu has a Unique Charge mechanic that benefits from Charge support and is probably marginally better than W Corp, but you can and should use whichever of the two you have and like better.

  • Recommended
    • MultiCrack Office Fixer Heathcliff
    • R Corp 4th Pack Reindeer Hong Lu, R Corp 4th Pack Reindeer Ishmael: As with the Sinking team it may be unwise to use both together.
    • W Corp L2 Cleanup Agent Meursault, R Corp 4th Pack Rhino Meursault: Meursault can be useful filler for Electric Screaming, which is another Charge team funneler. W Corp Meursault really needs to be Uptie 4 to keep up, however.
  • Alternatives

Hybrid Status
Hybrid status teams are sort of a for-fun thing, there's currently not what I'd call a strongly viable full mixed status team for use outside of Mirror Dungeons, where they can help spice things up with a little variety and are easily juiced up by EGO Gifts. Most combinations of status effects don't have IDs that allow for a full team with one exception I'll include here, however in future updates I'd like to highlight what mixed status IDs there are for all the pairs.

Resonance
As mentioned before, it's not typically worth team building for a specific sin affinity outside of for its associated status effect, simply because there aren't very many IDs and skills that get bonuses from Resonance, but there is one major exception:

Envy Resonance
  • Core
    • Lobotomy EGO The Sword Sharpened with Tears Rodion
    • Lobotomy EGO In the Name of Love and Hate Don Quixote >> The Middle Little Sister Don Quixote: Love/Hate Don sort of ruins this being a straightforward mixed Middle/Pequod team by being way too good for Envy Resonance.
    • The Middle Little Brother Sinclair & The Middle Little Brother Meursault
    • The Pequod Captain Ishmael & The Pequod Harpooner Heathcliff
  • Recommended
    • Any of the Alternative or above IDs from the Charge Team.

General Support Passives
This section and the next includes some common recommended IDs to keep in reserve for their support passives. The three major use cases for support passives are ones that mesh well with specific teams (in which case they'll be listed in the relevant team section above), ones that are excellent for general use, and passives with strict conditionals that are easier to use for solos.

I didn't repeat any IDs so it's worth reading through both, which list an ID got placed in for some of the edge cases was a little arbitrary.

This section will include some important recommendations that don't fit into one of the team compositions above. Again, there may be additional useful general passives in the Solo section below as well if you're able to work around their more restrictive conditionals.

Some of the most notable and useful ones will be highlighted in italics.

  • Yi Sang
    • LCB Sinner - Gloom x4 Owned: At the end of the turn, Heal 10 SP for 1 ally with the least SP if they lost SP.
    • The Ring Pointillist Student - Lust x4 Owned: 1 ally with the least SP heals 2 SP On Hit for every type of negative effect on the target (max 6). If the target has Bleed, heal 3 additional SP. (This Passive activates 2 times max per turn)
    • Liu Association South Section 3 - Wrath x3 Res: For 2 allies with the least SP: if they lost SP this turn, heal 5 SP at Turn End. If the said allies have Base Skills that inflict Burn Potency or Count, heal 5~10 SP instead
  • Faust
    • Zwei Association South Section 4 - Gloom x2 Res: At the start of the combat phase, apply 2 Defense Level Up to the ally with the lowest HP percentage. If target's HP is below 50%, apply an additional 2 Defense Level Up
    • The One Who Grips - Lust x3 Res: At the start of the combat phase, heal 1 ally with the least SP for 15 SP. If the ally is an 'N Corp. Fanatic', also apply 2Fanatic.
  • Don Quixote
  • Ryoshu
    • RB Chef de Cuisine - Lust x5 Owned: When an enemy is defeated, the ally with the least HP heals 15 HP. (Once per turn.)
    • Lobotomy EGO Red Eyes & Penitence - Envy x3 Res: Combat Start: 1 ally with the lowest HP percentage heals 3 HP, 1 ally with the least SP heals 3 SP
  • Meursault
    • The Middle Little Brother - Envy x3 Owned: The 1 ally with the least SP heals 10 SP at Turn End if there is another ally from the same Faction
  • Hong Lu
    • LCB Sinner - Sloth x5 Owned: At the start of combat phase, the ally with the least SP heals 6 SP.
    • Tingtang Gang Gangleader - Gluttony x5 Owned: 1 ally with the most SP deals +20% damage with Heads Coins.
    • Dieci Association South Section 4 - Gloom x4 Owned: After Attack: If the target is in a staggered or defeated state by an attack from 1 ally with the least SP, the ally heals 7 SP.
  • Heathcliff
  • Ishmael
    • Zwei Association West Section 3 - Pride x5 Owned: At Combat Start, compare each Identity's current HP to their HP at the start of the previous turn. Then, apply 2 Defense Level Up to the Identity with the greatest disparity of HP values between turns.
  • Rodion
    • LCB Sinner - Wrath x5 Owned: 1 ally with the most HP deals +20% damage with Heads Coins.
  • Sinclair
    • Los Mariachis Jefe - Gloom x4 Owned: 1 ally with the most SP deals +10% damage to enemies with lower SP.
    • The Thumb East Soldato II - Pride x4 Res: When the 1 ally Identity with the fastest Deployment order among those using Ammo finishes their attack, if their current Ammo count is fewer than half (rounded up), regain half of the maximum Ammo capacity (rounded up; once per Encounter; max Ammo regained: 5). If the Ammo receiving Identity has separate values for Potency and Count, they will gain them at random. If either Potency or Count of Ammo is maxed out, gain whichever is not maxed. This effect does not activate if there are no Identities that use Ammo
  • Outis
    • LCB Sinner - Sloth x5 Owned: 1 ally with the most HP deals +30% damage to enemies below 0 SP.
    • G Corp Head Manager - Sloth x4 Owned: ally with the most HP randomly gains 1 Attack Power Up, 1 Defense Power Up, or 1 Protection at the start of the combat phase.
    • Cinq Association South Section 4 - Pride x3 Res: If the fastest ally's Speed is faster than Speed of all enemies, the fastest ally gains Clash Power +1. If the said ally is a Cinq Association Fixer, the fastest ally deals +10% Pierce Damage
    • Seven Association South Section 6 Director - Gluttony x4 Owned: 1 ally with the fastest Speed deals +10% damage when attacking a target with a damage type the target is “Weak” or “Fatal” to.
    • Lobotomy EGO Magic Bullet - Pride x3 Res: 1 ally with the most SP deals +10% damage with E.G.O Skills. If the E.G.O Skill consumes 7+ E.G.O resources, deal additional +5% damage
    • T Corp Class 3 VDCU Staff - Sloth x5 Owned: 1 ally with the fastest Speed deals +10% damage when attacking a Staggered target.
  • Gregor
    • LCB Sinner - Gloom x3 Owned: At the start of the combat phase, the ally with the least HP heals 5 HP.
    • RB Sous-chef - Lust x5 Owned: At the start of the combat phase, the ally with the least HP heals 5 HP. Boost the healing of R.B. Chef de Cuisine Ryoshu’s Passive ‘Rustle Up’ by 5.
    • G Corp Manager Corporal - Gluttony x4 Owned: The ally with the least HP heals 5 HP after winning a clash.
    • The Priest of La Manchaland - Lust x3 Res: 1 ally with the lowest HP percentage heals 3 HP On Hit (3 times per turn). If the target hit by the said ally had Bleed, heal 3 additional HP
Solo Support Passives
Disclaimer: I'm especially not an expert on soloing at all but this is mostly just straight slotting in data from doing a pass looking at everyone's passives. These are the notable ones that have limiting conditionals that hinder their usefulness in regular teams but make them simpler or more automatic to use for solos (eg 1 ally with the lowest Max HP gains X). These don't include anything from the general recommendations section and are also general recommendations themselves--there may be powerful solo passives in the relevant status team.

Some of the most commonly recommended and useful ones will be highlighted in italics.

  • Yi Sang
    • Seven Association South Section 6 - Gluttony x3 Res: 1 ally with the highest Max HP gains +1 clash Power in a clash.

    • Lobotomy Corp Remnant - Lust x2 Res: 1 ally with the lowest Max HP gains +2 defense skill final Power.
    • Lobotomy EGO Regret - Wrath x5 Owned: In a clash, the target of the slowest ally has -1 Clash Power if they have 3+ types of negative effects
  • Don Quixote

    • Shi Association South Section 5 Director - Wrath x5 Owned: 1 ally with the fastest Speed deals +10% Slash damage.

ID Data
Reminder that the most up-to-date version of all of this information in this section, including IDs released after Season 5 can be found at this link.[docs.google.com] The spreadsheet now also includes team notes and EGO data as well.

Columns indicate which skills match the listed affinity. For example, in the Blunt column, "13D" indicates the skills 1, 3, and the defensive skill (typically a counter in the case when it's in a Slash/Pierce/Blunt column) are Blunt.

Most IDs will have 3 available sin affinities with one of the three doubling up, and most IDs also require Uptie 4 before their defensive skills gain a sin affinity.

Type of defense skill are indicated by G for Guard, E for Evade, C for Counter, CG for Clashable Guard, and CC for Clashable Counter.

Tier Lists and Resources
I'm including this section for players who just want resources on what general IDs are powerful and worth angling towards in order to have a workable team for basic early story progression and Normal Mirror Dungeons. As always, tier & "these are the best IDs" lists should be taken with a grain of salt for both how they may become outdated over time and for how they may reflect the author's preferences. My suggestion is to be referencing multiple tier lists and guides to get a range of opinions so that you can have an idea from multiple sources what is likely to indeed be verifiably powerful, which is why I'll include a handful of different sources here.

This section currently updated through the release of: T Corp Class 3 VDCU Staff Outis

I’m new, what team should I work towards?

If you’re totally new and not yet up to about halfway through Canto 7, my answer here is to snoop around the tier lists and use whatever high tier general IDs you happen to get. If you’re worried about spending resources on IDs you won’t end up using way later (first of all, don’t be, but) it’s worth reading up on the actual team compositions if you’d like to know which “general” IDs transition into powerful components of full proper team comps.

Okay, but who do I spend my shards on?

What’s optimal will depend on what you have. Sharding the high tier IDs until you have most of a team is fine but has minor long term efficiency considerations. Sharding EGOs is also fine and good because EGOs are available to (though not uniformly fueled by) every ID for a Sinner and, importantly, you will never extract a duplicate EGO (they’re completely removed from the pool when you obtain one), but many EGOs have narrow use cases and their value snowballs over time as you collect more of them (they’re also very Thread-hungry to Threadspin) and so conversely spending shards here early on likely won’t give you valuable immediate results (with a few important exceptions).

My actual suggestion here, which is a compromise between picking out powerful IDs to shard and complementing long-term considerations, is to shard high tier Event IDs (or EGOs) since they cannot be extracted under normal circumstances.

These are the IDs that are powerful single IDs, important for their respective teams later, are Event IDs, and are not excluded from the current season:

  • MultiCrack Office Rep Faust
  • Blade Lineage Mentor Meursault
  • District 20 Yurodivy Hong Lu
  • Molar Boatworks Fixer Ishmael
  • Molar Office Fixer Outis, T Corp Class 3 VDCU Staff Outis: These are interchangeably important Tremor IDs, so if you have either the other becomes lower priority.

Since the previous seasons IDs and EGOs are temporarily rotated out from crafting availability, a secondary consideration for sharding priority is powerful current-season IDs. These are the most important ones that should not be passed up, from most to least powerful (IMO), for the current season:

  • The Thumb East Capo IIII Meursault
  • Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Adept Faust
  • The Thumb East Soldato II Sinclair: A very important complement for Thumb Meursault but is slightly weaker on his own.
  • T Corp Class 3 VDCU Staff Outis: Again, if you have Molar Outis, T Corp Outis drops in priority.

I’m ready to start working towards an actual status team, what should I shoot for?

You’ll kind of be at the mercy of what you’ve pulled but the biggest potential consideration is what is currently less-available from the previous season. If you withhold season 5 IDs, Burn & Bleed are severely hindered by losing the majority of their current Core. Burn especially suffers from fewer reasonable alternatives, Bleed does too but has several older obsolete IDs that can fill in. Both can function with high-tier-general fillers, but you might want to avoid building for these teams for now. Rupture will also be missing a few of its key players (ie the two Heishou Maos from S5 and Cinq Meursault) but has enough decent alternatives to fill in. Everything else is either fine or will only be missing one or two of their middle-priority IDs.

Everything so far has also been ignoring Walpurgisnacht IDs, which are key to several teams but are the most limited in their availability:

  • Lobotomy EGO Solemn Lament Yi Sang: Alternative ID for Sinking, has both an important alternate (Spicebrush Yi Sang) and pairs poorly with Tears Rodion.
  • Lobotomy EGO Regret Faust: Faust’s only Tremor ID, however the key thing for Faust & Tremor is her Everlasting EGO. Arguably, Heishou Faust is just as well for Tremor since she’s just straight powerful and is likely to have high speed to make it easier to get the most out of Everlasting.
  • Lobotomy EGO Lantern Don Quixote: Recommended but not wholly required for Rupture.
  • Lobotomy EGO In the Name of Love and Hate Don Quixote: A powerful general ID that is extra powerful for Charge teams, however that spot can also be taken by W Corp Don.
  • Lobotomy EGO Red Eyes & Penitence Ryoshu: Also a powerful general ID that has a place in Bleed & Charge teams but also has viable alternatives in each case (Kurokumo & W Corp Ryoshu respectively).
  • Hook Office Fixer Hong Lu: Low priority Bleed ID.
  • Full-Stop Office Rep Hong Lu: Powerful ID, important for Poise/Pierce, pairs extremely well with Full-Stop Heathcliff. By far the best single Hong Lu ID presently.
  • Full-Stop Office Fixer Heathcliff: Powerful ID, important for Poise/Pierce, pairs extremely well with Full-Stop Hong Lu.
  • Lobotomy EGO The Sword Sharpened with Tears Rodion: Powerful for Charge and Sinking, possibly the most powerful single ID presently, but can be replaced by Dieci Rodion for Sinking and there’s enough general alternatives for Charge.
  • Dawn Office Fixer Sinclair: Powerful for Burn but made slightly obsolete by Thumb Sinclair.
  • Lobotomy EGO Magic Bullet Outis: Borderline Mandatory for Burn. You can make a Burn team without her but it will never do as much damage as a composition that includes her.

tl;dr: Burn is partly hamstrung without Magic Bullet Outis and the Poise/Pierce team is absolutely incomplete without Full-Stop Hong Lu & Heathcliff. Everything else has varying levels of viable alternatives.

Can you just tell me what the “high tier general” IDs are?

Okay, here is roughly what I would currently rate as the best IDs to grab for every Sinner without team comp considerations, excluding previous-season-uncraftables & Walpurgisnacht:

  • The Ring Pointillist Student Yi Sang
  • Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Adept Faust > MultiCrack Office Rep Faust > The One Who Grips Faust
  • W Corp L3 Cleanup Agent Don Quixote = T Corp Class 3 Collection Staff Don Quixote
  • W Corp L3 Cleanup Agent Ryoshu
  • The Thumb East Capo IIII Meursault > Blade Lineage Mentor Meursault
  • Dieci Association South Section 4 Hong Lu > Tingtang Gang Gangleader Hong Lu > District 20 Yurodivy Hong Lu
  • Wild Hunt Heathcliff > The Pequod Harpooner Heathcliff
  • Molar Boatworks Fixer Ishmael = The Pequod Captain Ishmael = Zwei Association West Section 3 Ishmael
  • Dieci Association South Section 4 Rodion
  • The Thumb East Soldato II Sinclair (w/ Thumb Meursault) > Cinq Association South Section 4 Director Sinclair > The One Who Shall Grip Sinclair
  • Molar Office Fixer Outis
  • Edgar Family Heir Gregor

And if you get the chance to grab them, here’s where there’s a notably superior previous-season or Walpurgisnacht option:

  • Lobotomy EGO In the Name of Love and Hate Don Quixote > The Manager of La Manchaland Don Quixote
  • Lobotomy EGO Red Eyes & Penitence Ryoshu > Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Ryoshu
  • Full-Stop Office Rep Hong Lu
  • Full-Stop Office Fixer Heathcliff (w/ Full-Stop Hong Lu) > Kurokumo Clan Wakashu Heathcliff
  • Kurokumo Clan Captain Ishmael (w/ Kurokumo Heathcliff)
  • Lobotomy EGO The Sword Sharpened with Tears Rodion > The Princess of La Manchaland Rodion
  • Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Outis
  • Firefist Office Survivor Gregor

I dunno if I like it more but I'll add it in, in the spirit of more info being better
+ includes an EGO tier list, though Fluid Sac not in SSS is a lil whack
- unlike prydwen, doesn't include explanations/reviews

I would recommend gll-fun over prydwen for tierlists.

Ill still disagree on cinq meursault but I havent actually used devyat rodion. she looks like a better unit than meur for rupture specifically but I dont like her inability to stay in fights. might use her to switch into meaursault actually since then since her skill 3 is count neutral and can go into a 15/3 stack. the main problem with 15/3 is I find it hard to get to 15 potency fast enough for meur to not kill count but that could just be a me issue

Red Eyes Ryoshu will definitely need to be added but it'll have to wait a little bit; I'm planning to do a complete overhaul of every recommended teams section to have an intermediate category in between Core and Alternates and there'll be lots of small stuff I missed that gets included in that overhaul.

I don't fully agree for Cinq Meursault, I think he's just generally powerful enough to stay Core (and anyways pairs well with W Corp Yi Sang who is the inverse, sort of weak but stacks Rupture like a champ), but Heishou Rodion's chief problem is Devyat Rodion exists. I don't think there's really room for Heishou Rodion on a general Rupture team unless it lands that you're missing some higher priority IDs or if you're trying to do Rupture/Poise (but again partly because the full team for that kind of doesn't exist yet). She's in the horde of IDs that are technically great but gets crowded out by other options.

Cool guide. There is some small things I think are missing, specifically Red eyes ryoshu not being mentioned for bleed. Shes a really great clasher and potency generator (no count though but bleed is fine with ring sang).

Oh also rupture, Cinq merusault is not core as he is insanely negative until 15/3 and he ruins the stack before you can generate potency (hes still really good in rupture but better as a backup id or after the first turn or 2, he provides nothing to rupture other than being count neutral after 15/3). Heishou rodion is core imo as she is count neutral on her skill 2 while being able to proc rupture 5 times with -1 count. her skill 1 is bad (has good potency?) but you have a clashable guard to just never use it.
