Howdy to all Cowboys and strangers on the internet as well! Welcome to my guide about getting all the stars and "Best in the West!" status in Rail Heist.

Also in this introduction I want to say that this game sure are ace-high! I love this unique blend of stealth, puzzle and sandbox game. Rail Heist, although small game, really has a creative spark. The game can be played in different styles, every mission can be approached differently and same items can be used for different purpose. I love heavily interactive gameplay of Rail Heist, also speedrunning of this game is very engaging.

The game awards stars if certain criteria are met during a successful mission, up to 3 stars can be earned on each level for a total of 60.
"Devil Star" awarded for killing all lawmen
"Time Star" awarded for completing at or below the goal time
"Angel Star" awarded for keeping all lawmen alive

The requirement to earn "Gold" status is just to complete all 20 levels.
The requirement to earn "Cherry" status (and "Curly Wolf" status) is to beat the game and earn at least 40 stars across all stages.
The requirement to earn "Best in the West!" status is to beat the game and earn all 60 stars.

Well, how to eliminate all god-dаmned lawmen, while you only have two lead whistlin' plums in your revolver? And reloading of your shootin' iron takes kind of forever. I think you don't even suspect how many other ways there are in this game to achieve this goal! So, in this game, there are some less obvious methods that are possible, such as:
- Use environment to setup various traps
- Use objects like Cinder Block, Dynamite, Gatling Gun
- Manipulate lawmen to shoot each other
- Knock off lawmen from the train silently
- Use power-ups hidden in some levels
- You can combine all of the mentioned ways

Not difficult set of stars mostly, although consider that the difficulty of different heists varies wildly. Perhaps, only the time limit can seriously hinder, so there is no time for dilly-dallying. Well, you can check this video walkthrough slighly below if you somehow struggling. Also, I encourage you to be more creative in the process of earning "Devil Stars". Be wily, devilish and dastardly like I did in this vid:

4 High Alert - 31 seconds
5 Fowl Business - 54 seconds
6 Guarded by Gat - 33 seconds
7 Shifting Gears - 36 seconds
8 Vault Robbery - 44 seconds
9 Winging It - 36 seconds
10 Daring Duo - 47 seconds
11 Root Around - 31 seconds
12 Cow Poke - 27 seconds
13 Rescue Mission - 36 seconds
14 Long Haul - 54 seconds
15 Resupply - 40 seconds
16 Armored Up - 76 seconds
17 Powder Keg - 45 seconds
18 Sitting Ducks - 50 seconds
19 Vengeance! - 53 seconds
20 The Final Score - 94 seconds

Another condition - another approach. This time, we have a set of stars of medium difficulty. Most gameplay based on outmaneuvering and outsmarting the lawmen to complete the heist, and you have to get a wiggle on, willy-nilly. It'll be more easy if you'll think outside the box and use some advanced tricks and routes. Sometimes in my video showcased not the easiest and not most reasonable ways to beat the level, because the goal was to finish it as fast as possible. Though, this is still helpful but also, hopefully, entertaining.

Besides stealth and running away out the line of sight, there are other techniques that allow you to pass levels without casualties, fella. There are many more viable things you can do, such as:
- Throw lawmen into pits or closed places to neutralise/trap them
- Bait and distract lawmen by throwing objects in their line of sight to force them to go to search for outlaw where you want
- Lure nearby lawmen by shooting
- Break floors/ceilings/walls to create or block new paths
- Block rooms, stairs and paths with boxes or other objects
- You can combine all of the mentioned tricks

There are pretty damn hard missions to beat with this condition. The main problem - there is a time limit for each heist. Time constraints force you to hold on tight in the saddle - execution of a mission must be fast. Also, some of the stages are not at all obvious in context of this condition. So, this set of stars really worthy a video walkthrough. You can get all Angel Stars like a total Pacifist, without even touching anybody! But why would you do this? Well, because it's more fun and entertaining!
