Introduction
To get the 'Fancy Footwork' Achievement, you need to Kill Gortash without triggering any of the interior traps. Disarming the interior traps makes them explode and attestations to whether this counts are mixed, so we'll be avoiding disarming interior traps (exterior traps are okay to disarm).

Around patch five or six, certain aspects of this achievement were changed.

It used to be that if you picked up or threw away the grenades that are fired at you from traps, you could still get credit for the achievement.

A lot of guides and comments on the internet still assume this is the case, but the above change made it so that if the grenades are fired by the traps, you have already failed the achievement requirements.

That is why I created this guide, to explain how to get the achievement as of the 'final patch'.
Preperation
It is much easier if you take out the steel watch by blowing up the foundry before taking on Gortash, so I recommend doing that first.

Next, there are a few spell effects that will be useful for this:
Enhanced Leap[bg3.wiki]
Greater Invisibility[bg3.wiki]
Magic Missile[bg3.wiki]

Scrolls are available for each of these. There is also the Potion of Glorious Vaulting[bg3.wiki] available for jump distance.

There are a few traps that will need disarming and a few doors that will need unlocking on the way, so you'll benefit from bringing a rogue character.

Getting to the Fight
Start in Wyrm's Rock Fortress but do not go through the door.
We can't go through the audience hall. Going through the doors will immediately start a fight and the traps will trigger before you have your first turn, even with the 'alert' feat. Reports online indicate that these traps will count against the achievement.

So instead we're going to take the path to the left of the door. There is a lever hidden behind some crates, use it to open a passage outside of Wyrm Rock Fortress.
Climb down the rockface just outside.
Continue to the left around the outside of the fortress, you will pass an entrance to the prison.
There are a few jumps on the way. It is also possible to get to this point by jumping off the drawbridge in Wyrm's Crossing using Feather Fall[bg3.wiki]
Continue your journey and you will come to some vines. Climb on up. A second set of vines will get you up to a locked door.
Through the door you will have a few options. You will want to take the path to the right of the door you just went through.
Our goal is to head upwards. If you have access to an abundance of jump potions or spells, you should be able to get everyone up the scaffold. Failing that, you may need to do some creative crate stacking.
Right at the top of the scaffold is a tower, head inside and climb the ladder, we need to jump the gap to the rooftop. There are a few traps and a locked door to contend with, so a rogue is a good person to take on this adventure, however, they may need a little help making the jump from the top of the tower.
Through the door is the belltower. Inside you will find a lever that lowers a ladder.
You need to assemble your team, you can either send them the same way or walk them around the front. Watch out for a few traps on the way. An unlocked door should get you access to the ladder you just lowered.
As an alternative, you can choose to fight outside, however, the belltower makes some of Gortash's more annoying moves less effective
Kiting
You don't want to fight Gortash in his hall or in the foyer, both are laden with traps that will be activated at the start of the fight.

Instead, we're going to lure Gortash into a place where the traps cannot detect us.

To do this, I recommend using a ranged attacker. Activate turn-based mode then bestow your ranged attacker with Greater Invisibility[bg3.wiki]. It has to be greater invisibility, as you will want the invisibility to remain after attacking Gortash.

If fighting from the bell tower, descend the ladder and head towards gortash while invisible.
If crouched, attacking while invisible will put a little highlight on the ground. This indicates where the enemy are going to search for you.

You should be able to get 2 or 3 attacks out of your invisiblity without it breaking. Use them to lure Gortash to the foyer.
When Gortash is in the foyer, you will want to direct his attention upwards. Most ranged attacks cannot target creatures in the foyer from the belltower, however, Magic Missile and Artistry of War[bg3.wiki] can.
Once his attention is directed upwards, Gortash and his minions will all ascend the ladder, forcing them all through any chokepoint spells you might have.
Fighting outside or up in the belltower should keep you free from any of the traps that will disqualify you from the achievement. It's not a very tough fight, and normally the traps are actually beneficial to you as you can throw the grenades before they explode, catching Gortash and his minions in the explosions.

I threw a few smokepowder bombs at Gortash to get his attention and follow me to the upper belltower floor - other grenades (or maybe also thrown weapons) might work as well. Thanks for the guide! :D:
