How to get past Mission 'Manual Override'
By Rykawolf
As we all know, RFG Remastered's version of 'Manual Override' is a buggy mess, so much it gives you a 50/50% change of even being able to complete it, not mentioning the awful AI that awaits inside.

This guide will help you with one part of it. If you're one of the lucky few that wasn't affected by the missing bridge bug, then good luck! You'll need it!

Introduction
Hey all! If you're here, you're probably looking for a way to actually finish the game!
You're in luck.

As you all know, the 'bridge/tunnel' on the entrance of the EOS sector can magically dissapear for whatever reason. A bug that hasn't, and probably won't ever be fixed.
This makes EOS Sector's part 2 mission 'Manual Override' impossible to beat.
The Supply truck cannot cross the missing half, and as such kills itself in a few tries.

Thankfully, this guide will help you get past it!
How to tell if the bug has affected you?
It's very simple.
Either try and beat the mission 'Manual Override', and see if you can get past it. If yes, you're in luck!
You can beeline straight to the end of the game after this.
If, however, your bridge looks like this:

Then you got the bug.
You can check either through the mission directly, or go check the bridge from the nearest Rebel base

Marked in blue : ways to detect the bug

If you unfortunatelly sucessfully detected the bug, worry not, I have a solution!
Getting past 'Manual Override' I - Ways to get past
It is pretty simple, though a turning point is downloading a mod for the game.
If you distrust these, then I understand.

As an alternative, you could also download a savefile either right after the game, or download a full story one, though myself I haven't been lucky in finding these.

The other method I heard worked for some is to 'Reset destruction', though you either need mods for it, or to have beaten the game already.

The third way is one that helped me personally. And the reason I'm making this guide itself.
Getting past 'Manual Override' II - Nexusmods
The first step is downloading RFGR save game editor from Nexusmods :
(1) Go to "https://www.nexusmods.com/redfactionguerrillaremarstered/mods/38?tab=files&file_id=73"
(2) Navigate to Files
(3) Press download manually
(4) Downlad the files
(5) After the download is finished, extract the rar/zip file

Once you've extracted the file sucesfully, you can move to the next step
Getting past 'Manual Override' III - Save Editing
Once you have extracted the file, it should look like this:

Now, either open it right away if your game is located in the same drive, or if it's located on a separated drive (D: for example), move the whole folder to the drive with the game. Placement doesn't matter.

Once you move it, open it up, and launch RFGR.SaveEditor.exe

After opening it, you'll be greeted by this screen :

If your game is located on the correct drive, one of the two options should be available to click (GOG/STEAM)
In this example, we'll go with Steam.

If the editor works correctly, it will select your last saved game file. If not, check through this icon, and select the save file you want to edit.

(1) Open Save browser
(2) Select the one you want to edit
(A) Number of missions passed (Either 16 or 17 is fine, if you beat 'Emergency Broadcast System' mission before)
(B) Number of scrap (Visible in map)

In my personal example, I'm at 16 missions passed, and at 128 scrap collected

(C) While still on this page, I edit the scrap collected by 1, just to be extra sure the edit went through.

To locate the mission tab, (3) you select the flag icon on the left collumn, and scroll down untill you see (4) 'Manual override' and other missions.

(D) This will either be a unlocked lock, or a check mark, depending on if you have beaten the mission prior to 'Manual override'

(5) Press the check mark to mark the mission as finished
(6) Click on the save icon on the left collumn

(7) Click onto edit the save into your current game (Either Steam or GOG based on which save path you chose before)

If you don't have any further edits you want to do, make sure you saved the edit, then exit the app and go back to the game.
Getting past 'Manual Overrride' IV - In-game checking
Once you launch the game and load your save file you edited, open up the in-game map.

If done correctly, the mission's starting point (B) should be gone, the EDF control bar should have one less mission (A), and if done so before, your scrap amout should incerase by 1 (C) or any amount you have set yourself.

After this, you can either go do the broadcast mission, or go do the sector's final mission.
Conclusion
If you have done the guide correctly, congratulations! You now can go on and liberate Mars from EDF's control without dealing with any bugged bridges!

Though be vary, this guide only helps you complete the mission, the bridge unfortunatelly stays broken.

Hope I have made the step-by-step clear, if any questions were left unanswered, I'll answer them in the comment section.
As for the save editor itself, I think it's a pretty good tool outside of fixing bugs. It offers far more than I showcased, but for that there are other guides or your own browsing.

And as for safety concerns, both Nexus Mods, and any othere malware detecting softwares report it as safe.

As for credits, I'm not the owner nor affiliated with the creator of RFGR's Save Editor, arrowsv on Nexus in any way. All credit for the editor goes to them.

I'm just sharing my own way of getting by the buggy mess that Manual Override is.

Have a good one!
