This guide is a quick and casual compilation of lesser-known techniques and glitches in Rocket Boots Mania, based on around 10 hours of personal playtime. It’s not a complete list, but a solid starting point for anyone looking to go faster, or just experiment with the game’s quirks. If you're into speedrunning, trick-hunting, or just want to flex some cool moves, you're in the right place.

We won't cover the basic moves from the tutorial – this is all about the more obscure stuff.

Quick Start
Just combine a power slide and a jump at the very beginning of the map to instantly reach max speed on the ground.

Speed Retention with Rocket Boots
Slightly tricky, but if you jump right after landing while using the rocket boots, you can keep your built-up momentum.

Speed Run Along Wall Edge
No idea why this works, but if you're running diagonally along the corner of a wall, your speed gets preserved.

Palm Tree Wall Jump
Pretty self-explanatory: yes, you can wall jump off palm trees. Useful for keeping altitude.

Start on the Edge of the Metal/Stone Ring
At the very start of a run, you can "grab" onto the metal ring just above the first yellow light, on both sides.

Palm Tree Multiple Clipping
Only seen on the tutorial map "Time Attack": if you spam the spacebar inside the palm tree to the left of the starting point, you can apparently build up speed and launch forward. I haven’t managed to pull it off yet, though.

Wall / Edge Clip Boost
Still not sure how to do this consistently, but if you wedge yourself into the joint of a wall corner, you can get pushed out with a decent speed boost. Works on the first tutorial map.

Box Jump
You know those little wooden boxes scattered around? Jumping on them the right way can launch you sky-high. The closer to the edge and the cleaner the jump, the higher you go.

Palm Tree Multiple Clipping
Only seen on the tutorial map "Time Attack": apparently if you spam the space bar inside the palm tree to the left of the start, you can build up speed and get launched forward. I personally haven’t been able to pull it off yet.
