As you might already know, steam awards are those cool little gifts you can give to a person when you like their comments in any way. That's what they were meant for.



However, you would often see trolls or people wanting the world burn that have other means to get them. I'm not a troll myself, but I have been in the DBD forums for some time and I can tell what kind of topics work to get those precious points.

You might already know this, but the killers in this game are unbalanced as hell. On one side you have trapper, a guy that can get stuck in his OWN traps, survivors will probably laugh at this if it happens. Then you have nurse, an asthmatic woman that can phase through walls and steal your soul. Most people know about this... but... what if you tried to be the opposite?

Remember, most people in this game hate OP things, so if you say something good about those OP things, they will probably hate you, attracting the jester awards you need so much. However, you must be careful to not make it obvious or people will see it is a bad bait and maybe you will get 1 or 2 jesters before your thread gets deleted.

Any plans to make Nurse a bit less painful to use?
You see, I was playing in ormond when I faced this SWF. I know how people say Nurse is the strongest killer in the game but I just can't see it. Her cooldown is so long, her movement speed is awful and on top of that, using her power can be too hard for the little reward it can give you. Using her is actually painful.

The example above by itself won't give you much, so you need to expand it with as much text as you can, never forgetting that the main focus is that you need people to see you think that nurse in this case, is weak. Basically, defend the thing everyone hates.

You can tell by now how popular this game or even the whole horror genre is in the LGBT community. However, you also have the opposite side: people that hate that fact. This also works outside of DBD, but since this game has a large LGBT community, this can be even more useful here. Since the LGBT topic is a very sensitive one, even a low quality bait can give you some jesters or even something more, since there's also people that will support you in this. If you support the LGBT community, this will be even better, since not only you will be able to express your thoughts, but you will also receive steam points from it.

I love how you guys added a new LGBT character to the game. Now we have some gay characters and now even two trans characters. As someone who supports this community, I would really appreciate if you added a pansexual character next. Keep doing your best, BHVR.

Most people in this game play as survivor, that's not a surprise. It's just mathematics: there are 4 survivors and 1 killer at a time. So there's more people that can support you in this. Unlike other categories, with this you could not only get jesters, but even something more since less people would get angry at you for doing it. Still, unlike other topics, in this you would want to be as loud as you can since this is probably the most popular topic in this guide, there is lots of competition. So be clear, let people know you are not fine with where the game is leading.

Time to make it clear: The survivor experience is HORRIBLE
YOU GET ALL OF THESE OP KILLERS THAT PLAY LIKE S*** TUNNELING AND CAMPING THE ENTIRE TIME. LIKE C'MON MAN I JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN. ALL MY GAMES HAVE BEEN GHOUL, BLIGHT, GHOUL, NURSE, GHOUL AND DRACULA... GUESS WHAT... THEY 4K'D EVERY MATCH AND SLUGGED ME JUST TO MORI ME AT THE LAST 3 SECONDS. IF DEVS DON'T DO ANYTHING, DON'T GET SURPRISED AS A KILLER WHEN YOUR Q TIMES ARE 20 MINUTES LONG. I'M F****** DONE WITH THIS GAME.

This is probably a hard one, since lots of people will complain at the same time. You need to be one of the first and that requires a bit of effort. Also, since most posts will contain a lot of rage in them, you need to actually be good at redacting (something I honestly can't do as you can see in this guide). If it works however, you can get lots of awards and not even jesters, but some "Clever", "Poetry" and even "Take my points" awards.

Look at what people seem to talk about and do an actually well redacted post about it. There's a high chance you won't get anything as this is a risky topic since most people would be saying the same thing, but if it works, you will get a HUGE amount of points. You need to say what most people want to say, so try to be specific.


The Ghoul is the worst killer DBD has released since Legion
The Ghoul is probably the killer with the unhealthiest playstyle. He has so many problems that I can't even put in a single thread without reaching the character limit.
-He can get an easy hit without any effort
-He can catch up to you in seconds, even after the latest nerf he can still be on top of you before you can make it to a safe loop
-Then he can down you by using the kagune to vault through a pallet or a window, denying you any looping chance

As you can see, this is miserable to play against. I stopped playing since this killer came out and you should do the same until they fix him or nerf him. Pretty good job so far.

Most people in this game are super HORNY. For some reason, the horror genre has a lot of people willing to do the birds and the bees with monsters. There's a subreddit about this and even a visual novel released by the one and only BHVR about dating the killers, so you can tell they know about this. This time, your thread can be low quality if you want, you will probably get a few awards if it reaches the right people.

Trapper is so hot
Can you guys release a skin with chest hair and sexy muscles for him? He's literally the hottest thing in this game, I don't know why it has been years without this. Also what about a maid costume for Spirit and Sadako?
