Get hit, fail the shard.
Useful for getting the Iron-Man achievement.

Installation

Subscribe to this Workshop Item
Open the game
Under Settings > Difficulty, set "One-Hit KO" to "Enabled"
You should see your hearts change to just 1 in the HUD :)

Settings

One Hit KO mode can be toggled under the Difficulty tab in Settings. Default is off. HUD elements will be updated to reflect this.
Includes a setting to seamlessly restart the shard when you are hit, skipping over all the shard completed animations.

What counts as a hit?

Currently, this mod is hooked up to trigger every time the STAT_DAMAGE_TAKEN stat is incremented. This stat directly correlates to the "Damage Taken" row on the Shard Won/Failed results screen.

This means that would-be hits taken during invincibility do not count as hits to this mod, and thus don't trigger the penalty of failing the shard.

Added support for multiplayer (Haste 1.5.a/b)!

Now OHKO works a little different in multiplayer: instead of having one life, you have as many lives as you'd have in the normal game, but receiving any kind of damage will kill you immediately and lose you a life.
