Remember the days when everyone roamed the streets with Walkmans in their ears, skateboarding through the suburbs, and Valve’s hero wasn’t Gordon Freeman, but Ivan the Space Biker?

A time when gm_construct felt slower, calmer… better?

Well, the wait is over. Introducing

gm_retrostruct.

Travel back in time with this custom map and relive the golden age of gaming! Inspired by classics like Quake, Doom, and Tomb Raider, every single texture has been carefully reimagined to reflect the gritty, pixelated glory of the 90s.

Still not convinced? Here’s what you’re getting:

EVERY texture (and yes, I mean EVERY single one) has been meticulously redesigned to match the gloomy, nostalgic tone of the 90s!
EVERY sound from the original gm_construct has been transformed into an 8-bit remix using Audacity!
EVERY the water has been reanimated and retextured for that authentic old-school vibe!

And don’t worry — this is the 90s we’re talking about. No cheap screamers, no annoying jumpscares. Just a moody atmosphere, a throwback aesthetic… and maybe a little secret or two waiting to be discovered.
