Gwyn: Gallant/Champion; Katana (ferocious, shrinking); Tranquility (+8 fortitude when >2 from friends), Bloodied (+8% of HP to Adv stats).
She can solo any area with mostly range 1 enemies due to her unique passive (block on kills) and regenerate HP with her unique skill. You can get these rings very early on, too.
Mashal: Monk/Stormkeeper; Cosmere Grimoire (assassin, shrinking); Victorious (heal 20% on kills), AN Other (Dominator?).
Her unique skill means she gets loads of crits, and her class passive and ring means she regenerates mana and HP after getting them. Elementalists need to keep supplying her with block, but she can regularly kill 3 enemies in their turn.
I'd just say to mention how strong Alden is in the early game that, as your Jaegen, can have enough growths to throw at many options and be a reliable option to keep the whole game, or even have no investment and can transition to a support unit that doesn't die from a stuff breeze.
