A free to play 2v2 competitive third person shooter with gameplay very similar to the “Gundam Extreme Versus” series.

Very similar to modern gundam vs, boost dash canceling, step fast falls etc. Characters are in the standard gundam cost brackets of 3k/2.5k/2k/1.5k.

Yes it is a gacha game, yes you need to roll characters, bursts and there is a dupe system. However, with that said, the game is fairly generous, and you will be able to get most of the characters in the “standard” gacha in a very short amount of time. Dupes are hard to get, but are farmable. Some characters really want dupes, but others are very much fine without them. There is also a free rotation where 3 standard banner characters are playable at max dupes. You can try any character in training mode before rolling for them.

It's free, on steam, and there is no additional setup required. Unlike any console or other versions of EXVS currently available, the game is still being updated. The game also uses servers so you will have consistent ping while playing with anyone.

The game has some weird controls but you can get it setup to more or less feel like exvs, though you are going to want to assign a button for block.

To make steps come out with a double tap:

DODGE [NOT SET]
disable all of back dodge/front dodge etc

• Characters have more boost low cost characters have 8 boosts and high cost characters can have up to 10
  
• Stepping can be done out of any action and auto faces you
  
• You can jump out of any move by tapping the ‘ascend’ button
  
• Guard is on a separate button (but can be used with the standard 28) and it can be charged. At full charge it staggers enemies and lets you combo them. Guard is on a cooldown and cannot be input again immediately after using it.
  
• There are no charge shots (CSB or CSA)
  
• Supers are armored for the duration and not just on startup
  
• Starward has one less attack button (main and special shooting, main and special melee, but no ‘sub’)
  
• Characters have moves or stat increases locked behind getting additional duplicates
  
• Bursts for each character need to be rolled in the gacha or bought
  
• Maps very greatly in size and there is no agreed upon map
  
• In competitive modes, there is a pick/ban phase before the match starts. You enter the queue with 4 characters, and up to two of them can be banned.
  
• Shooting burst does not rapidly refill ammo like it does in exvs.

If you play in North America, you may find difficulty finding other players outside of specific hours of the day. If you want to get games easier, you may want to use discord. The official discord can be found on the developer's twitter page, and from there you can find other, regional discords.

At 6k MMR in ranked you will no longer match with bots. Human players will have a connection indicator.

At any given time, you have 3 free characters. These characters are always maxed out (Talent level 5). Beta and Deucalion are always free, whereas the third character rotates out every two days.

There are 3 gachas-

Every gacha has a “pity” mechanic that will give you an SSR once you hit a certain number of rolls

Standard- has a fixed pool of characters, you can select one to have a 50% chance of getting when you hit pity.





Designated Recruitment- Rerun banner. There are two, first one gives you a 50% chance of getting the character you choose at 70 pulls and the second gives you your choice guaranteed at 90. The 50% has higher rates but if you fail the 50/50 you will pull more than if you had just used the 100%. Gamble responsibly.


The banner for the new character will always have a different name, but it works the same as the rerun banner- has a 50% and 100%. Any pity you have accumulated on this banner will transfer to the next character.

The game has a "costume" page where you can see all the various cosmetics. With a character selected, hit preview and it will take you to the training room.

You can buy gacha rolls with Star Crystal, I would recommend only using these rolls on limited banners.





You can use this resource to buy character fragments. 60 Character fragments will get you a new character. You can also use this resource to buy rolls, but unless you are rolling the 50/50 this is not worth it IMO



. You can use Star Essence to buy characters at 800, or rolls at 10 per roll. It is more efficient to spend them on rolls, but you would need 900 to guarantee a character, so use your discretion.




Character Exchange Tickets let you buy fragments for standard banner characters. More importantly you can use them to buy a talent essence.





Star stone is the paid currency. You do not need to worry about this unless you want to buy costumes or whale to an absurd degree.





This is the battle pass currency. There are lots of things you can buy with this, but the most important is the talent essence.





This currency comes from playing the game, up to a daily cap. All of the daily supply crates are good, but the priority is to buy from right to left. (Extra large first)
