Fix 1 - Delete InControlNative.dll
This will partially break controller support. You can still use a controller to play Audiosurf, however some mouse input will be required for menu navigation which will not fully work properly.

  1. Right click the game in your Library in Steam and go to Manage > Browse Local Files
  2. Inside the Audiosurf 2 folder, browse into the Audiosurf2_Data\Plugins folder
  3. If you do not have file extensions enabled, in File Explorer, go to View > Show > File Name Extensions
  4. Delete InControlNative.dll
  5. The game should now launch successfully
Fix 2 - Rename InControlNative.dll
This will partially break controller support. You can still use a controller to play Audiosurf, however some mouse input will be required for menu navigation which will not fully work properly.

  1. Right click the game in your Library in Steam and go to Manage > Browse Local Files
  2. Inside the Audiosurf 2 folder, browse into the Audiosurf2_Data\Plugins folder
  3. If you do not have file extensions enabled, in File Explorer, go to View > Show > File Name Extensions
  4. Rename InControlNative.dll to InControlNative.dll.disabled
  5. The game should now launch successfully
Fix 3 - Manually update InControlNative.dll
Controller support should fully function with this fix in both menu navigation and gameplay.

  1. Download Honkai Impact 3rd on Steam
  2. Right click Honkai Impact 3rd in your Library in Steam and go to Manage > Browse Local Files
  3. Search for the file InControlNative.dll
  4. Copy the file to a different location temporarily
  5. Right click Audiosurf 2 in your Library in Steam and go to Manage > Browse Local Files
  6. Inside the Audiosurf 2 folder, browse into the Audiosurf2_Data\Plugins folder
  7. Replace InControlNative.dll in the Audiosurf 2 install with the InControlNative.dll from Honkai Impact 3rd
  8. The game should now launch successfully and controller input should function as expected
