🔍What is it all about? / О чем вообще речь?

Let’s start with a little context. In Barony, there's a mysterious spellbook called "Steal Weapon". But here's the catch — it cannot be obtained through normal means. It doesn’t drop from enemies, can’t be bought, found in chests, or lying around on the floor. The only real mention of it (outside the game files) comes from a relatively recent update called K.Y.S. (Keep Your Secrets) — yeah, cheeky name, I know — and you’ll find it in the Compendium.

Pay attention to the Abilities section!

By digging through the Compendium, we learn that the only enemy using this ability is the Incubus. And here's the cool part — every casting enemy in the game casts spells from a spellbook, even if that book isn’t visible or accessible to players.
Which means… the spellbook does exist — just not in our hands yet.
So let’s turn his own magic against him!

Начну с небольшого пояснения. В Barony есть редкая книга заклинания под названием «Кража оружия», но вот беда — получить её привычным способом нельзя. Она не продаётся, не выпадает с врагов, не лежит в сундуках и не валяется на полу.

Единственное упоминание о ней, помимо игровых файлов — это обновление K.Y.S. (keep your secrets, лол а вы о чем подумали?), где книга указана в компендиуме.

Обрати внимание на строку "Abilities" — там сказано, что Инкуб использует способность красть оружие.

А мы знаем, что любой кастующий враг в игре использует заклинания из книги, хоть она и невидима для игрока.
Следовательно — книга существует и появляется, когда инкуб кастует это заклинание.
Повернём его магию против него самого!

🗺️ Where to find Incubi / Где найти инкубов

Incubi don’t show up just anywhere. You’ll need to:

Interact with fountains starting from the Underworld or The Sand Labyrinth — they might spawn Incubi instead of regular Succubi.

Visit late-game areas like Hell, Crystal Caves, or Citadel — all have higher chances to spawn these demons.



But hey... I have seen one of those fireball-happy bastards chilling in level 2 of the mines, sooo maybe?

Инкубы появляются не везде:

Начиная с локаций Underworld и The Sand Labyrinth, фонтаны могут призывать инкубов, а не обычных суккубов.

Также множество суккубов обитает в поздних локациях: Hell, Crystal Caves, Citadel — там тоже можно встретить инкубов.
🛡️ The Basic Setup / Что нам вообще понадобится

To "steal" the spellbook without already having the spell itself, we need to reflect the spell back at the Incubus. You can reflect magic using:
  • Cloaks of Magic Reflection
  • Amulets of Magic Reflection
  • Mirror Shields
  • Or the Reflect Magic spell itself

Since you’ll need to wait for the Incubus to cast the spell (and not just punch you to death), bring a decent shield or healing items. RNG is involved!

Чтобы украсть книгу заклинаний, не имея самого заклинания, мы будем использовать механику отражения магии. Это можно сделать с помощью:

  • Плащей отражения магии
  • Амулетов отражения магии
  • Зеркальных щитов
  • Или заклинания "Reflect Magic"

Также не забудь взять щит получше — демон может долго не кастовать заклинание, а просто долбить вас в ближнем бою. Немного выживаемости (и везения) не помешает!
🎯 The Actual Process / Непосредственно получение

  • Stand close to the Incubus.
  • Block all melee attacks.
  • Activate magic reflection, then wait.
  • Eventually, the Incubus will cast the spell and you’ll see:

📝 "You magically coerce the incubus's spellbook out of their grasp."

Once this message pops, kill the demon and enjoy your shiny new spellbook!

⚠️ If you’re playing co-op, heads up:
The book always drops in a TORN state! You’ll need to repair it with a magic quill before reading it again, or it will disintegrate after first use.




Method of obtaining through the use of the Mirror Shield / Способ получения через использование зеркального щита

  • Подходи вплотную к инкубу.
  • Блокируй все его атаки.
  • Активируй отражение магии и жди.
  • Как только инкуб скастует нужное заклинание, в логах появится сообщение:

📝 "You magically coerce the incubus's spellbook out of their grasp."

После этого можешь смело убивать его и наслаждаться трофеем.

⚠️ Если играешь в кооперативе — имей в виду:
Книга всегда падает в состоянии TORN (рваная)! Не забудь отремонтировать её волшебным пером, иначе после первого использования она распадётся в прах.
💬 Final Notes / Заключение

The spell is super rare and borderline secret — but totally usable if you manage to get it. Big props if you pull it off — not everyone even knows this exists!

And hey…
If you're playing co-op, nothing beats the sheer chaos of stealing your buddy’s sword mid-bossfight and watching the panic unfold.

Заклинание реально редкое и почти секретное — но вполне играбельное, если добудешь. Если получилось — это можно считать за личную ачивку, не каждый об этом знает!

А ещё...
Если играешь с друзьями, нет ничего веселее, чем своровать у тиммейта меч прямо посреди босса и наблюдать, как он в панике бьёт кулаками.
Используй с умом. Или без — не осуждаем 😈

Then you can use this New Spell to get up to 2 more Secret Spells. The Spells the Shopkeepers use. If i remember correctly after Herx deth the Shopkeeper Spell changes. To get the Spell wait until they cast the Spell and use the Steal Weapon spell on them.
