Intro to Plate Stacking 101

Uh oh! You've gone and done it! You were mucking about with the things on your shelves or you accidentally Fus-Ro-Dah'd the place...and now you've got dishes ALL...OVER...THE...FLOOR.

First things first. Don't panic and don't dispair! Take a deep breath and find your center. Now...it's time to pick those plates up...and start stacking...like the Dragonborn of legend.

Step 1

For the purposes of this guide, I've already placed 3 plates back on the shelf. The method for placing and stacking is the same regardless of whether your shelf is bare or not.

1. There it is! That pesky little plate has fallen to the floor! Now how do we get him back on the shelf with the rest of his kin?

Step 2

2. Pick up the plate by pressing and holding E (Default key)
As you pick the plate up, take a step back and away from the shelf while, still holding it.

Step 3

3. Now slowly walk forward while aiming for the spot on the shelf and the existing plate stack. Gently cradle the plate on to the existing stack of plates and then press E again to release. Phew!

Step 4

4. And that's it! Your plates are now stacked and back on the shelf!

Conclusion

Now we just have to do something about this damn upside-down pot...

@BossGalaga Sorry to hear that. I hear Nazeem is a pro at stacking bowls, how do you think he got to the legendary "Cloud District", perhaps you can get him to teach you so you can teach us?

LMAO! I know this is meant to be funny--but if you are serious about plate stacking, install the mod placeable statics. Great for decorating your home. Items can be locked into place with a spell.
