Event Logger

Main scanning tool. If you feel something is out of place or just plain weird open the wheel, pick the type and scan away!

Tiers:
  • T1: Long scan speed and range, and you're locked out of logging for 12 seconds after an unsuccessful scan!
  • T2: Scan speed and range increased, and you're now locked out of logging for 6 seconds after an unsuccessful scan!
  • T3: Scan speed and range increased, and you're now no longer locked out of logging after an unsuccessful scan!

Parabolic

If you walk around with parabolic and stumble upon a static sound, that’s where you should be pointing and waiting to hear what anomaly it will be and then scan it.

Tiers:
  • T1: You're locked out of logging for 12 seconds after an unsuccessful scan!
  • T2: Scan speed and range increased, and you're now locked out of logging for 6 seconds after an unsuccessful scan!
  • T3: Scan speed and range increased, and you're now no longer locked out of logging after an unsuccessful scan!

Audio Sensor

Goes hand in hand with (you guessed it) Parabolic. Put a scanner around the house and different floors as it will beep and glow green when it detects an upcoming audio event. That way there is no need to run around with the Parabolic praying to hear static somewhere until you hear the sensor.

Tiers:
  • T1: Smaller detection range, doesn’t display audio event distance
  • T2: Detection range increased, now displays the event distance
  • T3: Detection range increased further, now displays an arrow which points in the direction of the event!

Thermal Camera

Detects Audio events that you missed

Entities that were just too evasive to find.

Plus some anomalies may only show on thermal.

In case you don’t have a camera in the room you can spot Orbs with Thermal too.

EMF

It’s here to help us all find what disappeared. EMF always has the first light on, it will detect the missing object but the range will depend on the tier so make sure to check everywhere.

Tiers:
  • T1: Small detection range
  • T2: Detection range increased and now makes classic EMF beeping sounds
  • T3: Detection range increased further and it'll now vibrate (Investigation use only please) when facing the direction of the event!

Photocamera

When entering a new map or you just can’t remember that one part of the map “take a picture it will last longer” and you can check it as reference during the run.

Tiers:
  • T1: Picture quality and FOV are reduced
  • T2: Picture quality and FOV are improved
  • T3: Picture quality and FOV are improved even further and can now take up to 6 photos per T3 camera

Video Camera

Depending on the difficulty you may or may not have cameras preinstalled on the map. Add your own where you feel they are needed (you can change direction with Q and E).

Tiers:
  • T1: Classic cam
  • T2: Can now be zoomed in and out journal
  • T3: Camera can now be rotated left/right & panned up/down from the journal

Flashlight

So that you can see your new friends better!

Floodlight

Plop it where you don’t want to turn on the lights. It will help spot the obvious.

Tiers:
  • T1: Smaller brightness and range
  • T2: Brightness and range increased
  • T3: Brightness and range increased drastically and will now deactivate bear traps when dropped onto them!

Glowstick

YES it STICKS! Please use it smarter than I do.
P.S: stick one to the house for good luck!

Tiers:
  • T1: Smaller brightness and range
  • T2: Brightness and range increased
  • T3: Brightness and range increased further and will now stick to any surface it comes into contact with

Bandage

In cases where you wanted to see what happens when you stand in front of a Void and need to fix the mistakes your curiosity made.

Tiers:
  • T1: Doesn’t heal instantly, heals for less and over time!
  • T2: Heals more health and heals quicker!
  • T3: Heals more health, heals 50% instantly and the rest over time!

Medkit

Carry it all into the house just in case. Entity likes to hug people without asking first. But hey at least this one heals more than bandages!

Tiers:
  • T1: Heals less, heals 50% instantly and the rest over time
  • T2: Heals more and heals instantly
  • T3: Heals even more and now provides a small player speed boost for up to a minute

Void Stick

Use it to get rid of a pesky Void.

Or to stop a hunt. Be careful you only get 4 or less.

Tiers:
  • T1: Is thrown at a shorter distance and slower speed
  • T2: Is thrown farther and faster
  • T3: Is thrown farther and faster and now has a 50% chance to not break upon impact

Backpack

It’s a BACKPACK! Gives you the magic to hold 3 more items making it a total of 6 items…
Therefore BEST item in the game!
Backpack doesn’t need tiers, it's just awesome like that.

To identify ritual item you input the plants in the "Ritual" tab on the tablet and it will tell you what you need.
Sorry for late response Steam was being weird to me.

What do you need to do to identify the ritual item correctly?

Thank you so much for this guide. I had NO idea the thermal could show missed AUDIO events. We've seen that rotating symbol many times and had no idea what it was. There's no explanation in-game either. I hope that information gets updated!
