Hello, as the name of this guide implies this is a quick rundown on how to find your items that you've downloaded from the workshop and loading them into Anima-engine. I'll skip the hoopla and jump into it.

First step is the obvious one, download your workshop items, which hopefully you know how to do by now, but it's here on your library page in case you missed it.


Next, is to start up Anima-engine, which confusingly loads, and then must be opened on your taskbar. Simply right click the icon, and open the main menu.


This will open the menu we'll be working in, from which you will need to select the animation menu, followed by the add new animation button.


This will open the directory, but we need to navigate to where our workshop items are downloaded.


Navigate backwards to the Steamapps folder and select the workshop folder.


Followed by the Content folder.


This will bring you to your workshops for various games, the folder name can be different for everyone, so you will need to manually locate the folder Anima-engine. In my case, I have renamed it for convenience.


From here you will have a list of files which represent your workshop items. Take your pick.


Finally, select one of the animation files within. If there are multiple, they are often of different image sizes.


This will load the animation into Anima-engine, and from here just press start selected animation. The animation will also be available on the left to use again at any time. You can have multiple on screen by left-clicking the animation you want on the left and selecting the load as secondary option.


I won't be going over how to add sounds as I've yet to figure it out myself. Maybe one day though.
