In this Guide I'll show you various Builds at various points in your WRF career. Here we'll be focusing on the Flamer sub-class of the Flanker Role.

I'll also include screenshots of various Gear and such that will help support your play-style.

Just because you play a Flamer doesn't mean you play it the same way everyone else does - Even though your Role on the Field is the same - to gank isolated enemies as well as dive on marked enemies in coordinated team pushes. Just be sure to have an escape plan!

Your First Flamer

This well very likely be your first Flamer. The Phantom is a solid Robot. It's Shoulders provide an awesome Shield Pool of 44,000 at lv.

The Phantom's Core ability - Translocator - allows you to mark a point. Then, after several seconds you can re-activate the ability to teleport back to that point. Obviously the idea here is to set a point somewhere secure, attempt to "Gank" someone, and then tele back to your safe place to let your shield's regen. Then do it again :D

*Ganking is when you catch an enemy by surprise and kill or cripple them swiftly.

*Diving is when you take a risk and expose yourself while attempting to Gank.

The Phantom can both Gank and Dive because it has the Ability Translocator to allow it an easy escape.

Moderate and tune your use of this ability to effectively maintain a positive kdr. If you do this one basic thing well you will have a positive kdr guarantee!

I should note some downsides to the Phantom, particularly it's Chassis. Phantom legs don't have very good Acceleration or Fuel. While Fuel isn't as important, you really need high Acceleration. This will help you escape better. Phantom mitigates it's low Acceleration and Fuel with it's Core Ability Translocator.
Good Gear for Flankers

Infinite Ammo is one of the best gear for you because this will almost garruntee you a kill when you Gank someone. You don't want to share face time with an enemy waiting to reload.. Flamers aren't supposed to do that. Dive, kill or cripple, run away, repeat.


I mean cuz who doesn't like robbing blind people? You can also use this on an enemy who is closing or Diving on one of your Allies to disrupt them. This actually kinda helps make you a bit more versatile instead of purely an assassin.


Ghost Turret is a bit bugged but it is an awesome tool for a Flanker / Flamer. It deals HUGE psychological damage - Flamers already deal huge psych dmg - and you can use it for when multiple enemies are around to be super disruptive.


When you really wuna dump heavy on someone for maximum Alpha dmg strap on a Gamma Beam. It will help melt whoever is in front of you.


Reflector is another awesome tool because it will help you counter anyone you are dueling. If you get caught exposed while reloading this might be the edge that saves you by closing the kill when you'd have otherwise been eaten while waiting to reload.
Moving up in the Meta


Trading out the Phantom for the Pursuer Torso we get the ability to go nearly invisible with Optical Camo, Pursuer's Core Ability.

Once you learn to use this well enemy players won't even be able to see you.. Especially with the visually obscuring effect Flamers have already..

You can use this to Dive super effectively because you can walk right past the front line guy right up to an enemy back-line player and Gank them.

***A really cool trick is to - when running away - run behind a wall, pop invis, and then JJ(jump-jet) straight up... Just test this out a few times.

I suggest using Sprint Reactor because the Tyr Chassis is a bit slow for a Flamer. However, the Tyr Chassis has AWESOME acceleration.. AND amazing Fuel. So the idea here is that you may not be able to sprint across a field.. but you can run between buildings and use your fuel and acceleration to burst around corners.

Depending on the type of Ganker you are you'll want to learn to position yourself and fight around certain areas of the map.
Multi-Flamer Build


Here's a good supportive Flamer build that will allow you some versatility with the Orochi's Core Ability - Echo Barrage.

I suggest playing this Build defensively and counter-Diving other Flamers.

I use Pursuer Chassis on this Build to shine on my enemies and look awesome. Why else use them?.. xD hahaha

Bow before the Chad Flamer Build all yee simps!!! Behold the awesome p2w glory of the Chad Flamer... (at least ppl will cry p2w after you roast them mercilessly)



Ruin, a Common Pilot, adds 15% to Fire / Corrosive type Effect Dmg and Effect Duration..

Harpy Core Ability - Napalm Shell will dump pools of fire at the feet of you renemies as you pillage them!!!

The Harpy Torso allows you to equip a Heavy Weapon.. an Incinerator of course.

I have Sprint Reactor and Flash on mine.
