SI SZ 313 Kiss 160

Ten single-system multiple units of the Stadler KISS brand were manufactured and delivered to Slovenian Railways in 2021. The manufacturer is the Swiss company Stadler Rail. Each multiple unit has 292 seats (of which 16 are in first class) and 277 standing places. KISS (“kiss”) is an acronym for “Komfortabler Innovativer Spurtstarker S-Bahn-Zug” (“comfortable, innovative fast suburban train”). The multiple units is low-floor, the maximum speed is 160 km/h.

All seats are equipped with a 220V socket, seats in 1st class also have a USB port, a reading light and tables. The multiple units are equipped with a wireless Wi-Fi network, a modern passenger information system with information displays and an announcement system.

Class SŽ 313/318 multiple units represents the first double-decker train in Slovenia. These multiple units operate mainly on suburban electrified lines, as they enable the transport of a larger number of passengers.

They are mostly in use on the line Ljubljana - Jesenice and around Ljubljana.
