Before the game
Let's start with a few facts, the game will interrupt your challenge if you attack the enemy with anything that doesn't count as a knife, but remember, master, not to sell the pistol you get at the beginning of the game under any circumstances, because it will be useful in several small situations, such as in the moreau reservoir (big fish) or the Haisenberg factory. The game is gracious and shows you the status of your challenges in the "challenges" tab after entering the pause menu (p or esc) if there is a number other than 0 in the "knives out" task, load the last save before you used the gun in a way other than marked.
Gameplay
Now that we've covered the basics, it's time to move on to the style of play you should play. Remember one rule: you are not a hero. Playing with a knife will be simply difficult. Don't pretend to be a professional, you will get the achievement regardless of the difficulty level you choose, so head towards the lowest one. Fighting bosses above the "casual" difficulty level using only a knife and not knowing their movements will be torture, and for you, simply something impossible. Once you've chosen the difficulty level and started the game, you need to know something that Capcom has often told players in the older Resident Evil games, combat is only an option. Don't put up a fight, don't waste time, go from point to point, it will kill your enjoyment of this game, so I wholeheartedly recommend you to go through the game normally first to not only have a normal experience, but also to know where you should go with your ultra pro approach with just a knife. Avoid unnecessary fighting, but what if you run into a fight you can't just avoid?
Bosses
Bosses, because I mean them, won't give you a head start. That's why you need to have something to treat with you, one or two med kits are enough.

The fight with Mrs. Dimitrescu will be one of the worst. You have to approach, not get hit, and just hit with a knife, the game gives you the misconception that Mrs. D only gets damage if you shoot at the female torso protruding from the beast, nothing could be further from the truth. Attack on the legs, muzzle, and even on the tail. On low difficulty, nothing but a swarm of locusts should cause you a problem, and by the way, if you see a black cloud approaching you ominously, hide in one of the turrets, nothing but this wonderful lady will attack you. In the Shadows of the Village level, where you would probably like to do this challenge, my you, can of crumbs, just touching the locusts will put you on the ground.

Fighting Donna Beneviento is a game of hide and seek. Just find Angie (Donna's doll). During the fight, your equipment will be empty anyway.

The fight with Moreau will be difficult if you don't learn a few secret secrets.
1. After entering the arena, if you go too far, he will appear immediately, then you have a chance to attack. Run up to him boldly and hit the body coming out of the beast's mouth, if you play normally on the highest difficulty, this tactic will also work, but you need to know where to hide from the puke, because Moreau will gladly share the contents of his stomach with you.
2. Don't keep your distance. Moreau will charge at you from time to time, then hold your guard (spacebar) to take less damage. When you see that the big fish starts to ignore you and climbs on the roof of the house in your arena, hide under one of the shelters like a bum before the rain, this is an accurate term, because he will start vomiting into the air, which will cause a heavy downpour to fall on the arena.
3. On the lowest difficulty level, the combat is quite simple, so you should not be afraid of potential defeat. Prepare some treatment because you will definitely get a hit. Don't be afraid of the boss, Moreau is dangerous only in appearance.

The fight with Haisenberg is one of the exceptions to which Capcom turns a blind eye. During the duel, you will be driving in a makeshift tank made by Chris Redfield himself, you can use the entire arsenal that the vehicle has at its disposal. In the second phase of the fight, with the one who knocks, you will have to continue using only the knife. Get as close as possible and constantly move sideways. After a dozen or so hits, The Beast should fall.
Chris stage
After defeating Haisenmountain, you will play as Chris Redfield. Don't think that this is the end bro. In Chris inventory you will find a knife that you have to use. Along the way, you will come across enemies, but it doesn't matter, because you can avoid them. This is where the real challenge begins. Before you hit a large spot with your laser that you are unlikely to miss, walk away to the backyard of the house on the right. This way, no archer will stand on the mushroom wall. If it gets there, reboot and do until it comes out. Stand there until the end, it doesn't matter if you beat monsters or not. After the shot, all enemies will die anyway. After the impact, check in the challenges if you accidentally killed someone directly with the explosion. If so, you click restart, don't worry, the game will forgive you. After destroying the building, you go down the hole that will be created after the explosion. There you will face large monster sensitive to attacks in the back. However, if you have read my excerpts carefully, you know that the creators want you to think that only the back is a sensitive spot. Stab him in the legs, you don't have to worry about hp because Chris is a tank. Importantly, do not use a laser, it counts as a non-melee weapon. After your victory, you will enter Miranda's laboratory, where you will find Mia and this is how you will end rock punching guy's story.
Miranda
The fight with miranda is the second exception. You have to go through the whole fight only with a knife. Here I have to warn you, Miranda is a difficult boss regardless of the difficulty, so you have to prepare yourself for a lot of healing. Miranda has several forms, each with a different set of movements.
1. Basic form. it is short, performs easily dodging blows and charges. You just run up and hit her.
2. Spider form. She is fast, agile, and can deal solid damage to you. Play dodging when you see her running towards you, hitting the ground with her limbs, run quickly towards her, sharply to the right or left depending on her position to avoid her. She can jump on you. When she jumps on one of the pillars, wait for her to jump and run forward so as not to be in her range of impact, because she already has a target set when jumping, change the position. This deals massive damage, if you can't dodge, just keep your guard down.
3. Winged form. Miranda just develop wings and flies, of course she has a few cool moves. she can cut you right away. Just like with the spider form, run, but only to the side. she can also do something like simulating a charge. Unfortunately, then she has a different move. She is carrying three orbs that you can possibly shoot down with a firearm. Remember to turn off the aim assist automatically activated on the "casual" difficulty so that you don't accidentally shoot Miranda, it is also possible that destroying the balls counts as an attack, they don't hit too much, the guard will reduce the damage. She can also make a big ball, big doesn't mean strong, it won't hurt you a lot if you cover yourself with your paws. Usually, after an attack of a large ball, Miranda returns to her normal form.
4. Darkness. She turns off the lights and launches attacks out of nowhere. A bit like Mergo's Wet Nurse from Bloodborne. Miranda's attacks during darkness are Basic Form attacks. Run around, Miranda disappears, after each attack, so it's impossible to give her back, unless you have a firearm and as we both know, you don't want to use it. After four attacks, the darkness ends, and Miranda will constantly switch between phases. At some point in the fight, you will see that two black mushroom pillars are forming, hide behind them, because Miranda will then launch a special attack. It will create a ball that will shoot fire in all directions. Only the pillars will protect you. Being exposed to bullet fire is practically a death sentence, don't do it.
The exception i told you on the start, is the moment when you defeat Miranda, she knocks you down and you have to use a gun, switch to the gun and pierce her.
Summary
And that's how you won the game with just a knife my dear donut. I hope you liked it and most importantly, it came in handy. Leave a rating and maybe a comment if you think I forgot something.
