UPD: HistoryAccurateDevelopers fixed the issue in the 3rd patch on 28.03.2025.

This problem is common in certain games, especially older visual novels or indie games made with Unity.

The issue is usually caused by connected HID (Human Interface Devices), which generate unintended inputs, making the game unplayable. Common trouble makers are gamepad drivers, keyboard software, and other peripheral-related programs.

While removing all these device drivers can fix the issue, its quite annoying. A more convenient solution would be to create some kind of a blacklist and prevent specific HIDs from sending input to the game.

To create HID blacklist, we’ll use a tool called HidHide. You can download the .exe installer from the developers' GitHub page[github.com]

After you install the software:

1. Open HidHide and go to the Devices tab
   
2. Check each available HID device and press Enter
   
   
   
   
3. Relaunch the game and check if the issue is resolved (if not, you most likely forgot to press Enter)
   
4. After confirming success, you can selectively block only the problematic HID (for me it was my keyboard driver)
   
   
   
   
5. Fight your way up to Takatenjin Castle, controlled by the Takeda Clan.
