All you need to do is change the Decimal symbol in Windows to "."

This doesn't fix crashes when launching the game!

Update (Patch 1.03)

The latest patch seems to have fixed most of the issue with the Decimal symbol.

There are still some cases where the game crashes if your Decimal symbol ist not "."
For example the game still crashes when you try to start Tutorial Challenges.

If you can't even launch the game, this guide won't help you.
Since I don't have that issue, I sadly can't troubleshoot it.

Fastest Method

1. Right-click the Windows icon and select "Run":

2. Type or copy the following command and click "OK":
reg add "HKCU\Control Panel\International" /v sDecimal /d "." /f

3. Enjoy the game!

Manual Method

If you don't feel comfortable running a command, you can change the setting manually.

1. Right-click the Windows icon and select "Run":

2. Type "intl.cpl" and click "OK" to open your "Region" settings:

3. Click "Additional settings...":

4. Change "Decimal symbol" to "." and confirm with "OK"

Reset Decimal Symbol to default

If you want to reset your settings to default, here is the safest way.

1. Right-click the Windows icon and select "Run":

2. Type "intl.cpl" and click "OK" to open your "Region" settings:

3. Click "Additional settings...":

4. Click "Reset":

5. Confirm with "Yes":

Quite helpful it did crash on me once after upgrading things and backing out but considering I did Missions Rank 2 three times and some of story, where beforehand it would crash. Especially with Renji and Komamura's Bankai and Ulquiorra's 2nd Resurrection which I did 2/3 of them with no issue and even played smoother seems.

Did not mntioned it before but this guy's fix allowed me to play the game after trying a lot of diferent solutions. So a bit late, but thanks

Windows 10 should be the same as Windows 11. Can't test it right now.

I clarified in the description that this doesn't fix crashes when launching the game. This is a separate issue.

Most issues relating to the Decimal symbol where fixed with the latest patch. But there are still some instances where the game crashe because of this.
So I will leave the guide up until I can confirm that everything is fixed.

Yeah, I agree. This should never have happened in the first place.
And I don't get why they didn't patch it yet. At least we can play the game with this workaround.
