Environment Pinger [Fixed]

Beskrivning
Changes
  • Fixed a crash caused by receiving pings while switching characters
  • Fixed a crash caused by players intentionally sending malformed coordinates

Mod description
Ping various objects in the environment. See others' ping objects.

Features
  • Hold the Ping Key and LeftClick anything to ping it. Map included!
  • Pings are visible to all players who have the mod.
  • A more specific chat message is announced whenever something is pinged.
  • Click the chat ping message to spawn the ping it appoints to for yourself.
  • Pings last for 20 seconds. Just enough time to think about the information!
  • Make yourself a local Waypoint by holding the ping key and RightClicking. Waypoint is only visible while the ping key is held.
  • See pings on the map.
  • Most pings will track the entity for the players who can see it.

@Alias Yep! The pings will work on both ends; this version just fixes a bunch of crashes.

Is this version compatible with the other version? Meaning if someone has the old version and I have this one we can still see each others pings?

@Marzipan Thank you for the report! This crash only happens if you don't have the original mod installed so I didn't notice it. It should be fixed as of the latest update.

@the Unkindness It's supposed to obfuscate the data for the ping, but it seems to be broken now due to changes Klei made to the chat.

Keeps crashing the moment I join a game so i ended up trying EP tweak which did work fine.

what does encrypt data used for？
