Introduction
There are no good guides for this game anywhere on the internet, and since no one else is going to do it, here's how me and my friends made it through. Good luck anyone else that tries this

A general note, cutting trees and making chests or work benches is the easiest form of XP grinding available. It is then replaced with the much superior Farming, first of mushrooms then Fireweeds
Rough Map
Here is a very rough map layout. I assume this game has a set layout, though I am not sure. The key here is to farm for, make and use a large quantity of Portals for ease of movement between the areas.

Area 1 - 4
Area 1 - Spawn
Area 1 is where you spawn, and it is a Safe Zone. This means you won't take mental damage at night by staying here, which happens in most other parts of the Maze. The outside edges of the area have Trees and Bushes, which let you harvest Wood and Fiber, both very important resources for building bases and tools. There are also a few scattered Rock deposits - which give Stones, Flint and Iron Ore when mined - with loose Stones around them. Several respawning Pigs are in the area as a source of food, as well as respawning crates that grant Wood and Plastic Cloth located near the Exit Door.

The main concern for this area is the central clearing, which features a Chest with a Build Book inside that lets you craft structures, a moving and floating block house, and the respawning enemy miniboss ManBearPig.. He sucks, and you should avoid him as much as possible - his health and damage are very high, he destroys structures, and his Mutant Bear Meat drop is useless for quite some time.

The important things here are to do the basic tutorial, get your Build Book from the chest, and make a small base in a corner away from ManBearPig. Then it's time to enter the Maze.

Important items/enemies
  • ManBearPig (drops: Mutant Bear Meat)
  • Trees (drops: Wood)
  • Bushes (drops: Fiber)
  • Pigs {drops: Meat)
  • Crates (drops: Wood and Plastic Cloth)
  • Rocks (drops: Stone, Flint, Iron Ore)

Area 2 - Starter Maze
Area 2 is the first proper area within the Maze. If you stay in here after dark, you'll start taking Mental Health damage, so make sure to leave before that starts happening until later in the run when you have appropriate countermeasures.

The first section of the maze near the door has some sandstone, which are in addition to Stone will drop Sandstone, which can be used in a Forge to make Glass Shards. There's also some mushrooms, an important and easily farmed food source.

After this, you enter the Maze proper, and need to beware of the SnakeMen. They have a long reach thanks to their necks, so best to surround them if you're playing in a team.

Important items/enemies
  • SnakeMen (drops: Rubber)
  • Doppelgangers
  • Sandstone deposits
  • Agave bush
  • Mushroom groups

Area 3 - Parkour
This area *may* be skippable, as it's reward is a Peace Flashlight recipe that affects the Cursed Pillar type enemy alone, and therefore seems unnecessary at present.

Area 3 is technically two half-areas tied together. The first is a smaller region filled with Spider enemies throughout, and broken up by a large number of curved walls. Simply follow the right side around to the far side, then jump through the spike traps and watch out for the Doppelganger spawn on the other end.

This is now the divider between the two halves: a door that only turns when it changes from day to night. Wait for night time, then set up a Portal on the far side for easy access.

The second half of the area is a combination Spider-filled maze, and a parkour challenge. The parkour challenge is a series of moving boxes and platforms on the upper level, leading to a recipe for the Peace Flashlight. The maze below is fairly short, and leads to the left where it eventually has a chest filled with gun and bullet recipes. From there you can build a series of staircase platforms to exit into Safe Zone 2, aka Area 5.

Important items/enemies
  • Spiders (drops: Nothing but XP)
  • Doppelgangers

Area 4 - Pillars
Note 1: This area can seemingly only be accessed after completing Area 3's parkour challenge, or else the Throwing Man will block your path.
Note 2: This area is entirely optional, and can be entirely avoided by a trip through Area 3, skipping straight to the second Safe Zone

Area 4 is <<COMING SOON>>

Important items/enemies
  • The Throwing Man
Area 5 - 7
Area 5 - Safe Again
Area 5 is the second Safe Zone of the Maze. There's a lot of Cactus Trees that granted Cactus Fruit, a speed boost at the cost of health, and plenty of Fireseed plants. There's a partial building at the top of the central hill, but don't take that bait - the hill is very glitchy and you'll die descending it quite often if you try to use it. Make a base in the front right corner when you enter instead.

The main thing to note here is the Ore deposits that grant you Peace Ore, the main ingredient in making a Peace Flashlight, which is important for the next area

Important items/enemies
  • ManBearPig
  • Cactus Trees
  • Fireweed

Area 6 - Cursed Pillars and Ghosts
Area 6 is fairly short and easy. Enter, go right to the end, then round the corner and go left as far as you can, avoiding the square room structure in the middle with an upside-down floating Ghost Girl over the door - she'll aggro if you get too close and slowly drain your speed and health. From the backside of the square room, turn back right 90 degrees and proceed straight as far as you can till you see a second Ghost Girl and a Cursed Pillar to your left. Just keep out of range of the Ghost Girl, and keep the Cursed Pillar in the aura of your Peace Flashlight so it stays non-hostile, get to the top of the pillar and collect your items.

Now wait for nightfall, and exit to the next area. The exit door is the middle of the right wall, close to the initial 180 degree turn you made when you started examining the area. At night, the walls will spin and reveal a path to the door.

Important items/enemies
  • Ghost Girl
  • Cursed Pillar

Area 7 - Cityscape Grenades
Area 7 is <<COMING SOON>>

Important items/enemies
  • Grenadier Skeletons
  • The Throwing Man
  • Fireweed
Area 8 and 9 (The Endgame)
Area 8 - Sulfur and the Escape Door
Area 8 is a Safe Zone, but also basically empty. Large portions of it are dominated by flat rock formations, and there are a half dozen Sulfur deposits that you can harvest to craft ammo for your new guns.

The only other thing of note in this area is the Escape Door on the righthand side. It is possible to glitch through the door using portals, which will trigger the credits monologue, but as this will not unlock the "escape the maze" achievement, you'll have to double back to Area 9 and get the Key to properly do that.

Important items/enemies
  • Sulfur deposits (drops: Sulfur)
  • That's literally it

Area 9 - The Last Maze
Area 9 is accessed from Area 7. <<COMING SOON>>
