UNLOCK the Achievements of Half-Life 2: Episodes 1 & 2 (if you have already earned them before)

Since Half-Life 2 had its 20 years update, the expansions were merged together with its achievements. (R.I.P Episodes 2007-2024)

If you don't want to go through the expansions again (which I don't really understand why you wouldn't) this guide will be useful for you, to get your hard earned achievements... again.

Here you have to activate the option Tools. The Episodes are hidden here !!!!!!!

2. Install the Episodes

You must to install them. Fortunately Steam Cloud has saved your games, and therefore, your achievements.

3. Launch the Episodes

This step is OBLIGATORY because is the only way that Steam Cloud syncs your old information.

4. Close them and finally launch the original Half-Life 2

TA-DA! Achievements rain!!!!

Sometimes I wonder why I cant think of things like this myself. I was questioning why for the longest time that "i thought I did this, I know i did this why isnt it appearing" i really didnt wanna go through all that again. Thank you so much <3

Thanks for the guide, but i also have another important question:
So I played (and finished) HL2 back when my account was limited.
Now my account is normal (no longer limited) and i launched HL2 but i still seem to not get any trading cards
What do I do? Do I have to play the game all over again? Thanks

It's a memodog. Help Memops ride through Steam guides by inserting it into other guides, otherwise it won't become a meme dog
