DD2 Style Quirks

Popis
This is a small overhaul that aims to add DD2 changes to quirks from the original game, as well as adding DD1 equivalents of unique DD2 quirks with their spirit and concepts intact! The list is small right now, but more to come soon.

I created a version of the mod that is new additions only if you don't want the basegame quirks messed with.

This is less about adding a mass bulk of new quirks to the game, and more about changing the quality of said quirks.
Some "negative" quirks gain upsides for value, some "positives" gain manageable downsides.
Sometimes a quirk that is just okay becomes pretty good! Sometimes an already bad quirk becomes even worse and less ignore-able! It all depends, really.

Changed Quirks:
- Armor Tinker Amateur Armorsmith (added +5% Prot)
- Weapon Tinker Amateur Weaponsmith (added +1 Flat DMG)
- Anemic (added -1 SPD)
- Ascetic (added +15% Virtue Chance)
- Bloodthirsty (added +15% DMG)
- Calm (added +20% Virtue Chance)
- Daredevil (added +10% DMG & -5% HP)
- Deadly (From +2% Crit, to +5% Crit)
- Fragile (added -10% Virtue Chance)
- Lurker (From +10% DMG if Light<26%, to +20% DMG if Light<26%)
- Misses the Spot Mark (From -2% Crit, to -3% Crit)
- Nervous (added +1 SPD & -5% Virtue Chance)
- Prismatic Calm (added +20% Virtue Chance)
- Resilient (added +15% Virtue Chance)
- Second Wind (From +10% DMG if HP<50%, to +20% DMG if HP<50%)
- Sickly (From -10% Disease Resist, to -20% Disease Resist)
- Slugger (added +10% Stun Chance to stunning melee moves)
- Steady (added +15% Move Resist & +10% Virtue Chance)
- Stout (added +20% Disease Resist & +10% HP)
- Tough (added +5% Virtue Chance)
- Weak Grip (From -5% Crit Melee, to -3% Crit Melee)
- Weak Grip Hold On Life (added -15% Virtue Chance)


Added Quirks:
- Bad Digestion (-15% Food healing, -50% Food Consumption)
- Boisterous (15% Chance to Mark themselves at the start of their turn)
- Braggart (A chance for a mix of Virtuous and problematic barking & 5% Monsters Surprise Chance)
- Breacher (33% chance the Character will move to Position 1 for free at the start of their turn)
- Bum Leg (-40% Move Resist)
- Chatterbox (20% chance for stress/stress heal barks when things happen)
- Cowardice (15% chance the Character will move to Position 4 for free at the start of their turn)
- Defiant (33% chance to heal for 15% HP at the start of their turn)
- Iron Constitution (+20% Max HP; Unique)
- Iron Stance (+30% Move Resist; Unique)
- Optimist (+15% DMG if HP>25%)
- Realist (-15% DMG if HP<25%)
- Sanguine (+20% DMG vs Bleeding enemies, +5% Virtue Chance, -10% Stress, & +10% Stress Heal received; Unique)
- Shadow Born (+35% DMG if Light<26% & 50% Chance to stealth at the start of their turn; Unique.)
- Shattered Will (-20% Max HP, -10% DMG, & -20% Virtue Chance)
- Slippery (+10 Dodge when HP<50%)
- Sneaky (+1 SPD, +10% Monsters Surprise Chance, & 25% Chance to stealth at the start of their turn.)
- Sprained Ankle (-15% Move Resist)
- Sprained Wrist (-10% DMG)
- Sunny Disposition (-20% Stress if HP>5%)
- Tactical Thinker (+3% Crit & +10 Dodge on First Round; Unique)

Compatability
May not be compatible with other quirk mods, as this alters some of the older basegame quirks. If the quirk mod you wish to play with only adds new quirks, then it should be fine to be used alongside this mod.
This shouldn't really create conflicts, though, as much as it would mean you'd have to put higher in your modlist whichever version of the altered quirks you like best.
I'm new to modding, so let me know about any issues and such. Oh, and feel free to add this to your collections and all that jazz, just like tag/name-drop me or whatever.

Really cool mod after like 30h with it, great job. Just some quirk are really strongk ? Not by a lot tho but like Slugger giving free 10dmg% *and* now free stun chance is really really good. Weirdly weaponsmith too on a lot of char either doing multi-hit or Crit build even this is one is a good change (vanilla one is so meh and useless). Defiant also, free HP healing coming from "nowhere" is really strong on critical situation, the concept just doesn't go well with DD where getting out of DeathDor even at 1HP is really strong. So free healing without being on a healeur and using action is something you shouldn't be able to. Imo it should be rework or something else
But otherwise, really great mod I having fun with it, 'let you have more quirk choice even if some are still not desirable

Ehm, just got 2 Sanguine, while it's suppose to be a "Once per roster / Unique" quirk ? My Rempart and Arb drop it at the same time on my Apprentice Crew
I guess it's because the game think unique as "Can drop it then after remove from the list of droppable quirks" and with our beloved RNG they did drop it at the same time so didn't check the "Unique" system of how it's codded. I hope I havn't been too confusing, still far from being bilingual

I will look into that more. I'm seeing from testing it that it's not really prock-ing the way it should, on its own. It seems to only be activating when the characters become virtured/afflicted. Good catch @Blimberry Juicy.

One thing I've noticed is that Sneaky and Shadow Born don't seem to work with their intended effects. The heroes get their stats from the quirks but I've never seen a stealth actout in a fight.

I think the descriptive string for Bad Digestion is broken, got the quirk on a new save and it doesn't say anything. Cool mod by the way, made a new playthrough just for it! :steamthumbsup:

Seeing the armor smith quirk get the flat DMG buff and the weapon smith quirk get the prot buff seems pretty quirky .
