First steps
The game has many details that can go unnoticed throughout the gameplay.

Grab these quick tips to make the most of the game!
Relations
The Relations tab on the Party Screen has a lot of options that can help you progress.
  • Build relationships with everyone.
    • You get traits and bonuses for it.
  • Earn money through foraging.
  • Level up through sparring.
  • Heal on the wound care dialogue.
Don’t rush
Endless RPG: Untold Tales is a laid-back experience that won’t punish you. Take your time and explore the mechanics at your own pace. There’s no rush to:
  • Level up.
  • Choose a trait.
  • Build the perfect character.
  • Complete a quest.
  • Battle undead, golems, bears, and ogres.
  • Recruit new party members.
Don’t forget
Remember to:
  • Upgrade your gear tier.
  • Add the best tags to your equipment.
  • Equip skills that match your gear.
  • Master your skills.
  • Celebrate, party mood makes a big difference.
  • Take advantage of city events.
  • Adjust the difficulty anytime.
Don’t ignore
Be careful! Endless can be forgiving, but don’t bite off more than you can chew. Pay attention to:
  • Enemy levels.
  • Fleeing from a fight is always an option.
  • Rock-Paper-Scissors mechanics in combat, this can be fatal. Here is a quick rundown:
    • Axe beats Guard.
    • Hammer beats Armor.
    • Piercing beats Unarmored.
  • Be aware of First Strike:
    • Avoid using ranged or arcane weapons in melee.
    • Two-handed weapons and spears can First Strike even against other melee weapons.
  • Carrying a secondary weapon for different scenarios.
  • Bringing potions into dungeons as you cannot use Camp or a Dialogue to heal inside.
Quick builds
If you’re lost, here are some solid builds to try:
  • Brawler Orcs – Tough and powerful, they excel at taking and dealing melee damage.
  • Ranger Sylvans – Their mobility makes them perfect for hunting down enemy backliners.
  • Elven Mages – Equip a staff and focus on White and Red Magic for a straightforward approach.
  • Dwarves in Armor – Armor reduces incoming damage by 10%, and with enough of it, they can shrug off most attacks.
  • Goblins at Night – Give them a bow or spell, and they’ll thrive in the darkness.
  • Well-Trained Humans – They master skills quickly, becoming powerful in no time.
  • Dark Elven Poison – Their attacks can cause continuous health damage, even from ranged and arcane attacks.

For Skills:
  • Weapon Skills – Require a specific weapon and are very straightforward.
  • Fighting Styles – Work with melee and ranged weapons, but can be a bit more complex.
  • White Magic – Healing and protection.
  • Green Magic – Support and control.
  • Red Magic – Pure damage. Simple as that.
  • Blue Magic – Situational but deadly when used right.
  • Black Magic – A mix of support and damage.
Try out
Don’t be afraid to experiment! Endless RPG gives you the freedom to mix and match. Try out different strategies:
  • Swap skills freely – They’re cheap, so adjust and forget them as needed.
  • Release party members – They’ll stay on the map and can rejoin anytime.
  • Classic melee builds – Replicate D&D-style Rangers, Paladins, or Barbarians.
  • Hybrid playstyles – Some magic skills work without magic stats, like Fog, Revive, and Invisibility.
Sound redundant, but makes sense
  • Power for melee, Speed for ranged, Mind for mages and leaders.
  • Defense matters – Armor is tougher than skin, and running away has no downside.
  • The AI hunts the weak – If someone’s low on health, expect them to be targeted.
  • Strength in numbers – Rushing in alone is a good way to die. Stay shoulder to shoulder.
  • Line of sight is everything – Trees, boulders, fog, darkness, and shields block attacks.
  • A dying enemy is still a threat – Finish them off.
  • Attributes matter – Weapons only deal damage if the user has the right stats.

How do you do this, please? I am just starting out. Does the game explain this later? If not, how do I upgrade weapon and gear/item tier, please?

Ohhh, don't say that about humans. They are good to improve the Skills that can be mastered and up the criticals of weapons. =]

But, after the character is created, it's not possible to change their race.

Is there anyway to change Race? Humans seem really really useless

Retraction: Kezarus reported about 10 minutes ago that this was already fixed. I learned the level cap issue while I was playing and ended my session and posted before I saw the update. :)

A little heads-up: it seems that the max level is currently 9. Any experience points obtained into reaching level 10 from 9 seems to reset after each battle. So, if you're planning out your max-level skills and stats, plan accordingly.
