- talk about your victory in the tournament (Reputation 5, Diplomacy 15, Eloquence 12, Stephan Brante 5)

A rock and a hard place
- appeal to Nathan (Unity 7, Theology 12, Stephan Brante 4, Gloria 0, Nathan Brante 3)

The bond you have with your little brother allows you to tap into his hidden wisdom and resolve the family quarell... for the time being.

A gift to the family
- give the jewels to prominent nobles as gifts (Reputation 7, Diplomacy 16, Scheming 11)

The power of the law
- side with El Borne (Augustin El Borne: the promise, Augustin El Borne 3)

The prefect's cause seems just and worthy, and you've already sided with a commoner on your first case. Makes sense to support El Borne's gambit.

An old friend
- have dinner with Tommas (Reputation 6, Willpower 30, Tommas Guerro 5)

The newspaper case
- legitimize the gazette (Protector of the people, Career 5, Justice 5, Willpower 25, Wealth 4)

The call of the ancestors
- side with father (Unity 8, Willpower 20, Robert Brante 5, Stephan Brante 3)

As much as you love Stephan, it is most improper to disrespect seniority. Bring your brother back to his senses.

The vassal and the lord
- support El Borne (Augustin El Borne 4, Gaius Tempest 1, Octavia Milanidas -1, Archduke Milanidas -1)

"It's a pleasure to see a reliable judge on my side".

Passion
- reject her (Willpower 15, Octavia Milanidas: scorned, Octavia Milanidas -2)

First, it's clear that Octavia just wants to humiliate you after you've stood up to her at the Prefecture. Second, like you've told Stephan many years ago, it is shameful to start secret affairs with a woman of higher station. "I've never seen such insolence from a human!"

Brothers in misery
- use your authority (Justice 4, Eloquence 13, Stephan Brante 4, Nathan Brante 4, Augustin El Borne 3)

The case of father Mark
- set him free (Career 4, Scheming 12, Wealth 6)

Father Mark seems a decent man, and it's not your jurisdiction to punish heretics anyway. If the Inquisition wants him so badly, it's their problem.

- appeal to mother (Unity 9, Manipulation 11, Gloria -1)

Gloria's frustrations might be understandable, but that is not an excuse to insult Stephan on the holy day. Let mother calm her down.

The search for evidence
- ask Overseer Gaius for support (Evidence against Otton, Augustin El Borne: betrayed, Gaius Tempest 2)

El Borne might see it as betrayal, but it allows you to keep your best friend out of harm's way and gives you necessary authority to prosecute Otton. "The Imperial Overseer holds you personally responsible for this endeavor".

* Stephan's gambit (Stephan Brante >= 1)
- agree (Stephan Brante: secret plot, Stephan Brante 5)

Stephan is right. Something should be done about Gloria's future, and Jose El Peletier is an esteemed and honorable man. This marriage might be the best outcome for everyone.

A realm unknown
- legitimize the circle (Wealth 6, Diplomacy 17, Theology 13, Willpower 10, Octavia Milanidas -1)

You don't want anything to do with Octavia's infantile escapades, but banning the circle outright seems excessive. Just provide the necessary paperwork for these dumb youngsters and be done with it.

Threats and promises
- retaliate against Otton (Reputation 8, Valor 18, Willpower 5, Second death)

Second death: Law = Lot

"You acted like a true nobleman and defended the honor of the Brante name".

- fine El Corvio (Career 5, Justice 3, Diplomacy 18, Willpower 10)

The path you've taken forbids you from prosecuting a noble for matters of their honor.

* The road to the top (Career >= 5, Branded by dishonor)
- refuse and protect your family (Career 4)

From what you know about El Verman, he's just trying to bribe you so you drop the case against Otton. Do not fall for his plot.

Sacrifice your last life to serve the law as well as the will of your Overseer.

* A moment of respite (Unity = 10)
- Willpower 5, Robert Brante 5, Lydia Brante 4, Stephan Brante 5, Nathan Brante 5, Gloria 1

Thanks to your mother recovering from the brink of death, your household experiences an unprecedented degree of peace and affection. "There is no place like home".

Transformation
- demand that Octavia be returned to her family (Reputation 10, Octavia Milanidas: betrayed by you, Octavia Milanidas -3, Archduke Milanidas 0)

I wonder how you can "betray" someone you've never made any promises to, but whatever. Octavia can go ♥♥♥♥ her transcended self.

* A glorious bloodline (Reputation = 10, Branded by dishonor)
- A glorious bloodline, Diplomacy 19, Valor 19

You've made a promise all those years ago to consider Gloria a part of your family. Stay true to that promise.

* Tommas' wedding (Tommas Guerro: rescued)
- bear witness to their wedding vows (Tommas' new life, Willpower 15)

"I'll never forget everything you've done for me".

Repentance
- call mother (Unity 10, Manipulation 14, Eloquence 15, Willpower 20, Nathan Brante: hopeful)

"He shall descend again".

A family matter
- become members of the Overseer's entourage (Ennobled by the Sword, Favored by the Overseer, Willpower 25, Gregor Brante 3)

* A noble bloodline (Ennobled by the Sword)
- accompany Stephan as he steps forward (Diplomacy 20, Willpower 30, Robert El Brante 5, Stephan El Brante 5)

Your impeccable reputation and loyalty to Gaius Tempest allow the Brantes to get a place at his court. You and Stephan should get busy making little noble Brantes.

* The smell of gunpowder (Justice >=7, Mayer Egmont: made a deal)
- Justice = 10

* Prisoners (Justice >= 8, Mayer Egmont: made a deal)
- leave them in captivity (Justice 7, Mayer Egmont: true death)

Egmont betrayed your trust. He can go ♥♥♥♥ himself. On the gallows.
