How to export video from SFM without Quicktime
I saw that no one else made a guide on this, so I decided to make one myself. Now the usual way most movie makers on here export their projects is through image sequence, but if for some reason you want to export video through SFM itself, then you need to use Quicktime Player.

HOWEVER

The problem is that Quicktime sucks so much that Apple stopped updating it for WIndows users. It's so abandoned that it's a security concern if you have it installed. (If you still have Quicktime for Windows, you should probably uninstall it.)

There is a way though...

You see, Quicktime was so terrible that back when websites sometimes REQUIRED you to have it installed to view their content, people weren't happy. They made alternatives that had the Quicktime codex to get around having to actually use Quicktime.

Thus, Quicktime alternatives

There are a number of Quicktime alternatives that you can download that bypass needing to have Quicktime installed in order to export video directly from SFM. A quick Google search will show you multiple but if you want a direct link, here is the one I use. [www.techspot.com]

As such, this will allow you to export movies directly from SFM without putting your computer at harm.
It's still better to export through an image sequence as there are many guides dedicated for the best settings when doing that, but for you that still wants to export through SFM, I hope this helps.
