What is trust factor?
Trust Factor is a hidden metric used by Valve to determine whether you’re a fair player who isn’t cheating, griefing, or negatively impacting the quality of matches.

Trust Factor was introduced to Counter-Strike in late 2016 as a system designed to match players with similar Trust Factor ratings. This ensures that well-behaved players are grouped together, while cheaters and griefers are more likely to be placed in lobbies with others who exhibit similar negative behavior.
How can I improve my trust factor?
In short, there’s no quick way to boost your Trust Factor. Valve keeps the exact criteria for Trust Factor changes a secret, and the only proven method to improve it is by consistently playing matches while maintaining good behavior and sportsmanship.
A common misconception is that receiving commends will increase your Trust Factor. While many believe that accumulating enough commends can help, in reality, they have no direct impact on your Trust Factor.
What makes my trust factor bad?
There are several reasons why your Trust Factor might decrease, with the most common being cheating or getting flagged by VAC, playing in parties with cheaters, griefing, and receiving frequent in-game reports. However, if you’re a regular, fair player, maintaining a good Trust Factor is super easy. Just play as you normally would and avoid negatively impacting your matches by griefing or engaging in disruptive behavior.

DO NOT buy alts or smurfs online, because 99% of the time they’ll have a low trust factor that is VERY hard to improve from my own experience.
How can I check my trust factor?
You can’t. Anyone that tells you otherwise is mistaken. Valve keeps this value very secret (I suppose to prevent players from attempting to game the system)

The only half-decent way of getting an idea of your trust factor is if you are constantly getting into games with blatant/rage cheaters.
Why is Trust Factor important?
I think the Trust Factor system is fantastic. It helps keep my matches free from griefers and cheaters, allowing me to enjoy the game without dealing with players who ruin the experience.
