Intro
This guide aims to provide clear explanations and useful tips based on our experience to help you efficiently unlock every achievement.
This guide is written from a co-op perspective, as we unlocked every achievement together. Everything can be done solo, but some achievements will be easier with a teammate.
It took us around 40 hours to 100% the game, so we expect that you’ll finish everything at a similar pace.

Changelog
  • 02/06/2025: Changed the "So Many TODOs" achievement from 3 tasks to 2.
  • 01/06/2025: Updated to accommodate the changes from Update 4.
  • 20/03/2025: Guide created
Strategy
Before starting, here is an outline of the general strategy we used:

Role Distribution:

For us, the most efficient way to play was by assigning roles as Pathmaker and Train Manager.

The Pathmaker’s main task is to find and clear a path to the station. This becomes significantly easier once you have one or two Dynamite Wagons and, optionally, a Torpedo Wagon later on. Additionally, the Pathmaker clears resources, both passively by making space and actively by mining or using explosives to remove batches of trees and rocks.

The Train Manager crafts and places tracks while also handling all train-related tasks, such as cooling.

Depending on the situation, communication, and player preference, this setup remains flexible. Roles can switch or mix temporarily - whether due to tight spaces on extreme maps, someone grabbing a bolt, a player dying, the path already being cleared or any other situation requiring flexibility. As long as communication is effective and no player experiences downtime, everything should run smoothly.

Recommended Starting Cartridges for each role:

Once all cartridge slots are unlocked from the Cartridge Hub in the menu, we found the following setup to be the most effective as a foundation for our playstyle:

Pathmaker:
  • Passive Cartridges: 1x Stacking, 1x Magnet, 1x Torch
  • Action Cartridge: Throwing
Train Manager:
  • Passive Cartridges: 2x Stacking, 1x Magnet
  • Action Cartridge: Throwing

Stacking
Increases your carrying capacity for tracks and resources, making transportation more efficient. (Note: The more you carry, the slower you move - unless you counterbalance this with Running Cartridges.)
Magnet
Automatically pulls in nearby items, even those slightly out of reach (e.g., across a river), making resource collection faster.
Torch
Increases the light radius at night and lets you burn spider webs in Boxcar Bayou on contact, passively eliminating all spiders in your way.
Throwing
Allows you to transport resources into wagons from a greater distance, making tight spaces much easier to manage in co-op.
Example: If you’re faced with a one-tile-wide path on an Extreme Map, one player can stay ahead while the other throws necessary items - like rails - to them.

Note: If you happen to find the Hexnut Tree Cart from Island Interchange and your train has one free slot, you might want to use it or store it until you do. For us, this was a great way to generate extra Hexnuts - especially on long maps - ensuring we had enough currency to buy whatever we needed in the menu. Same goes for the Piggybank Wagon, which can produce a lot of bolts with spare resources.
Runs
Below are the runs we used to get all achievements done.

Run 1 | Toy Engine:
The main focus is completing all distance challenges while also picking up some easier achievements along the way. This is also the best run to acquire “Stacked Tool Belt”.

Run 2/3 | Engine of your preference:
Get as many achievements as possible. With some planning ahead, this should be easy.

Run 4 | Toy Engine:
Mainly focus on acquiring the “Safe Work Environment”. This one is easier to do later on once you can equip all the cartridges you want.

Run ∞ | Any engine except Toy Engine:
If you more or less followed this strategy so far, the only achievements you might still be missing in the main game mode are likely “Well informed” and “Get a Life”. Both can be earned by playing long enough, but for the latter, you'll need an engine without infinite lives - meaning the Toy Engine is not an option.

Okay, now let’s get into it.
1. Distance
All of these achievements are rewarded when you have reached a certain distance in a single run. 1m is equal to 1 floor tile.

Setup:
  • Toy Engine -> Guarantees a safer run.
  • 2 Dynamite Wagons and 1 Torpedo Wagon (optimally with Storage-Pull Extension) -> Efficient for clearing paths.
  • 1 Ghost Wagon -> Prevents getting blocked by terrain.
  • Rest is up to preference.

Core Strategy:
  • Stay in one biome as long as possible, because train speed gets decreased heavily during and especially after boss battles.
Example: After transitioning from the first to the second biome, train speed drops from 0.434 m/s to 0.056 m/s.

  • Prioritize levels with purple Station Modifiers for more bolts, reduced prices etc. - especially “Long Maps” since train speed does not increase during a level, meaning you can maximize your distance.
  • Cartridge Vaults are viable - when speed is low enough - because cartridges are insanely helpful for efficiency.

This ensures you
1) Unlock all wagons and upgrades you want.
2) Reach the 5000m mark with minimal stress.

Since we tackled these achievements in our first full run, we remained in the first three biomes until the train reached around 0.350m/s, and on the last two we got to over 0.500m/s. Then we started another cycle and finished the run during the boss fight in Monorail Meadows. You can continue further if necessary, but train speed increases even faster, making it harder to control - so avoid this if possible. Since the HQ ending is 76m long, you can pick this as long as you are already further than 4924m in your run.

Other tips:
  • Go for the path of least resistance, but still try to be in range of the resources you need.
  • Try to lead the train along edges if space is limited. This ensures you have easy access to the train and makes planning the path ahead easier.
  • Clear up one or two spaces along the track or one on either side so you never get cut off by the train.

This would be one example of these first 3 tips in action. Simple path, train following edges if needed, and available space next to the train.
  • If your way is fully blocked and you still need time to mine through or wait for your next dynamite, it can help to stall by pathing in a zigzag shape.

  • The more tracks you place ahead, the faster the train moves. To avoid unnecessary speed-ups, place tracks in intervals rather than all at once, allowing more time for other tasks.
  • Items, animals, and even the last item held in your hand will carry over to the next level. This means you can stack rails and resources (such as wood for bridges in case you immediately start in front of a sea) close to the station to have them available for the next level.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 1.1. Train-ee
Reach a distance of 100 m in a single run
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 1.2. Engine-er
Reach a distance of 500 m in a single run
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 1.3. Conductor
Reach a distance of 1000 m in a single run
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 1.4. Train-agement
Reach a distance of 5000 m in a single run
2. Biomes
The following achievements are simply rewarded by visiting a biome for the first time. We’ve also included related achievements and useful tips.
‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 2.1. Just Getting Started
Unlock the Monorail Meadows biome
  • Achievements: “It's Raining Dynamite” | “It's Paying Dividends!”
  • Milkable animal: Deer -> 5 Brute Force Cartridges
  • After eating 5 commodities, deer compress iron and doe compress wood. You can have them eat your resources on purpose to store more resources.
  • Drown moles with a water bucket to remove them quicker. This also applies in “It's Raining Dynamite”.
  • It seems you can remove deers and does by dropping them on the edge of a lilypad.

‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 2.2. Don't Get Stuck in a Spiderweb!
Unlock the Boxcar Bayou biome
  • Achievements: “On your Tippy-Toes” | “Watch the World Burn”
  • Milkable animal: Frog -> 5 Torch Cartridges
  • Escape spider cocoons faster by rapidly wiggling around (this seems to work better than spinning).
  • Set spiderwebs on fire via Torch Cartridge and let the flames take care of spiders. You can unlock “Watch the World Burn” by doing this.
‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 2.3. Sand Everywhere
Unlock the Cargo Canyon biome
  • Achievements: “Find the Way” | “What Goes Around, Comes Around”
  • Milkable animal: Crocodile -> 5 Stacking Cartridges
  • Sandworms only chase you when dashing - they stop when you stop. You can use this mechanic to instantly destroy canyon walls and unlock "What Goes Around, Comes Around".
  • Torpedoes instantly destroy walls as well.
‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 2.4. A Vacation Destination
Unlock the Island Interchange biome
  • Achievements: “Ebb and Flow”
  • Milkable animal: Crab -> 5 Multitool Cartridges
  • Grab a crab to walk on water, leaving sand behind to make it traversable. During low tide, this can also reveal iron.
  • Stop clouds from pushing items off the map by looking in their direction.
  • The Turret Wagon can shoot underwater iron.
‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 2.5. It's Hot Around Here
Unlock the Boiler Badlands biome
  • Achievements: “Torpedo Hell” | “Scapegoat”
  • Milkable animal: Waste Slime -> 5 Bucket Cartridges
  • Water shrines can be pushed into lava to create traversable seas. However, it is recommended to always keep at least one spare shrine accessible for cooling the train. Additionally, placing one near the station ensures easy access to water at the start of the next level.
‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 2.6. Where did that mountain come from?
Unlock the Loco Labyrinth biome
  • Achievements: “Vanishing Trick”
  • Milkable animal: Slowdown Snail -> 2 Extra Life Cartridges

About the biome in general:
  • Chunk swaps can only be stopped by walking on them or by having a built track on them.
  • Commodities, collectibles, and bridges are temporarily removed when their chunk swaps away. Tools will respawn.
  • The set of changing chunks is determined at the start of the level and remains the same throughout, so you can memorize where swaps will happen.
  • Each chunk has only 2 possible configurations that alternate, meaning you can technically plan the path ahead. However, doing so can be tricky due to the overall chaos.
  • The best strategy is to allow chunks you don’t like to swap and preserve the useful ones by standing on them. If you’re not paying attention, you can get trapped.

Slowdown Snail behavior:
  • Eats unconnected tracks and transforms 6 of them into Brake Tracks, similar to how deer and does compress resources.

Mimictree behavior:
  • Can only attack in the direction it is facing (indicated by the arrow on its head).
  • You can avoid death by holding something the Mimictree eats instead:
    • Tracks/commodities: Dropped again after defeating it
    • Tools: Respawn
    • Dynamite: Explodes inside it
    • Animals: Die
  • If a Mimictree is close to where you want to path, kill it. Otherwise, you might end up in a panic situation like this:
‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 2.7. Sit Back and Relax
Unlock the Credits
This is achievable by finishing every biome at least once in a single run and then selecting the HQ.

‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 2.8. Ouroboros
Reach a biome for the second time in a single run
Same as the former: Complete all biomes in one run, but instead of selecting HQ, continue playing.
3. Bosses
These achievements are earned by defeating each biome boss.
‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 3.1. It's Raining Dynamite
Defeat the Mole Chief
  • Boss of Monorail Meadows
  • Mole Chief constantly throws dynamite at your location. Dodge or use it to clear obstacles.
Strategy: Have one teammate grab a water bucket and flood the mole holes - this drowns the boss entirely, removing the threat.

Aftermath:

‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 3.2. On your tippy-Toes
Defeat the Spider Queen
  • Boss of Boxcar Bayou
  • The Spider Queen patrols the area and will eventually force players to stand still, though some micro-movements are still allowed.
Strategy: When a music note appears above your character, stop moving until she moves away.

‎ ‎
If you fail, webs spawn around the player, slowing movement and blocking track placement. Mine or burn them with the Torch Cartridge.

‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 3.3. Find the Way
Defeat the Sandworm Supervisor
  • Boss of Cargo Canyon
  • The boss map has a predetermined path. Any off-limits areas will be destroyed by the Sandworm if you enter them.
  • If your track is placed incorrectly, the worm may cut off your path, ending your run.
Note: If the Supervisor is busy, destruction may have a slight delay.

Strategy:
  1. One player should scout ahead to find the correct path.
  2. Avoid placing too many tracks in advance.
‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 3.4. Ebb and Flow
Defeat the Octoboss
  • Boss of Island Interchange
  • Octoboss spawns and shoots water droplets with its tentacles, creating water tiles.
  • If left unchecked, the entire map floods, making progress extremely difficult due to the lack of wood for bridges.
Strategies:
  • Have one player destroy all tentacles quickly using tools or explosives.
  • Use a high-level Cannon Cart with a reduced cooldown to shoot the tentacles from a distance.
  • Set a bot to mine the tentacles for you. (in solo mode)
If you follow this, the map will remain at low tide, so you won’t need to build extra-wide bridges.

‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 3.5. Torpedo Hell
Defeat the Torpeboss
  • Boss of Boiler Badlands
  • Torpeboss throws lava blobs on the floor, blocking your way.
  • Additionally, they shoot straight and homing torpedoes, which must be dodged.
Strategy:
  1. Rush through the level to avoid getting overwhelmed.
  2. Push water shrines into the lava to make it traversable again.
  3. If you are currently pushing a water shrine, use it to hide from most rockets.
‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 3.6. Vanishing Trick
Boss of Loco Labyrinth
The Mothermimic spawns upon a chunk swap. Once active, it:
  • summons weaker, aimlessly moving versions of Mimictrees that can be one-hit.
  • throws a grabbable bomb that only damages players and mimics, but explodes inside an entire chunk.
Strategy:
  • Either quickly eliminate the moving mimics or ignore them altogether - dealing with them often wastes valuable time.
  • Grab the bombs thrown by the Mothermimic and place them on top of its forest to instantly swap the chunk and remove the boss.
  • Since the Mothermimic only appears during chunk swaps (and not all chunks trigger it), one player can walk over all rumbling chunks to suppress her spawn and keep her from interfering entirely.
Example:
Right at the start:

During the level:

Note: We haven’t tested whether this can be maintained throughout the entire boss fight, but in theory, it should help.
4. Game Modes
The following achievements require you to play on different game modes.
‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 4.1. A Conductor's Customs
Play and finish a custom map
If you want to complete this quickly, you can play our map with the code:
tdxv-xCye-pFBA
‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 4.2. Enemies Everywhere
Finish a Versus game
Simply have one player win a Versus match.

If you're playing solo, you can simulate two players by:
  • Using a controller and keyboard as separate inputs. This could be done by having your main character be accessible via controller and then pressing space on your keyboard for a second player.
  • Splitting inputs. If you get stuck in the wrong control mode, here’s how to reset:‎‎
    • Disconnect both characters; Make sure to disconnect the character that you want to use last, or you might end up with the wrong one.
    • Press a button on your preferred input device to reconnect.
    • If this doesn't work, restarting the game will also fix it.
‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 4.3. This Is Mine Now
Steal 10 items in Versus mode
You can steal items using the Versus Constructor Cart.
  1. Insert one wood and grab the drone created from it.
  2. Drop it exactly where the items are located on the opponent’s side.
  3. Repeat this until you have stolen 10 items.
5. Wagons
This section focuses on achievements involving wagons.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 5.1. Master of Destruction
Explode a dynamite of at least level 6
To achieve this, you need to upgrade a Dynamite Wagon to level 6. This can be done at the Blacksmith, and optionally enhanced with the Supercharge or Hydrocharge Extensions (though we advise against using the latter). Upgrading from an unmodified wagon to level 6 can cost up to 49 bolts if no discounts are applied, so this requires some preparation.

Note: If you have a Level 5 Dynamite Wagon and craft dynamite, it will stay Level 5.
So if you then reach the next station and upgrade the wagon to Level 6, the unused dynamite remains Level 5. Use the Level 5 dynamite in the next round, and the next crafted dynamite will be Level 6, unlocking the achievement.

Example:
Left: Level 6 Dynamite Wagon, containing old dynamite from before upgrading (Level 5).
Right: Same wagon, but with newly crafted dynamite (now Level 6).

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 5.2. Didn't You Forget Something?
Trash a wagon by leaving it behind in a station
Simply grab a wagon, drop it somewhere in the station, and proceed to the next level without reattaching it.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 5.3. Top of the Line
Fully spec out a wagon
Similar to “Master of Destruction”, level a wagon to level 6 and also fill all 3 extension slots.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 5.4. So Many TODOs
Have 2 active tasks at the same time
Buy a second task from the pin board, start the next level, win.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 5.5. On Fire
Have all wagons burning at the same time
Once a fire starts, it will slowly spread to adjacent wagons over time.
Have a lot of tracks prepared beforehand and lay them down and then use either method:
  • Wait for your train to overheat and burn by itself -> This is faster if you have fewer wagons and no Tank Wagon attached.
  • Go to Boiler Badlands -> Find a waste slime (orange cube) and either path close to it or grab and drop it close to your train. It will attack the closest wagon, setting it on fire.

Aftermath:

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 5.6. Recycling
Extract an extension from a wagon
Go to a Blacksmith Station, grab a wagon of your choice and press the button with the green recycling icon. This will destroy the wagon.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 5.7. Team Kill
Take out 4 players with a single dynamite
If you don’t have 4 players, use the same method as in “Enemies Everywhere” to create extra inputs.
As a solo player in particular:
  • Enable controller input, enable keyboard input (or vice versa).
  • Move both characters to split input.

Now load a save with a Dynamite Wagon, have everyone stand close together, and drop the bomb.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 5.8. It's Paying Dividends!
Get 10 bolts from the Piggybank
The Piggybank Wagon can be found in the ??? Station in Monorail Meadows. All you have to do is insert wood or iron that you don’t need. The input amount depending on the cart’s level ranges from 30 commodities all the way to 8 for one bolt (while the maximum input per map is 30 items).
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 5.9. The Friends We Made Along the Way
Attach 5 different animals to a Milk Wagon at the same time
Get the Milk Wagon from a Shop Station and attach animals to it by grabbing them and letting go of them near the wagon. The animals you can attach are:
  • Deer and doe from Monorail Meadows (yes, they count as two different animals)
  • Frog from Boxcar Bayou
  • Crocodile from Cargo Canyon
  • Crab from Island Interchange
  • Slowdown Snail from Loco Labyrinth
Note: The frog can be very difficult to grab as it hops away from you very quickly. It does not hop away as much if you approach the frog slowly. It can also help to push it into a corner or a wall.

‎‎ ‎
You must upgrade the wagon to level 3 to have 5 slots for animals. Further upgrades allow you to attach multiple of the same animal as a failsafe and increase the rope radius, making it easier to keep all animals attached.

Things to watch out for:
  • Animals often get stuck on ledges, disconnecting from the cart. Have one player monitor them to ensure they don’t move offscreen.
  • Do not connect your track to stations early. If the train moves too far ahead, some animals might fall behind and detach and you might not see them once the next level starts.
  • As of writing this, all animals will detach from the wagon upon entering a new biome. Be quick when reattaching, especially regarding the frog.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 5.10. Boo!
Make all your wagons ghosted without using the Spectral Express
This can be easily achieved by using the Ghost Wagon and upgrading it until its effect reaches all wagons. Optionally, detach every wagon and then attach only the Ghost Wagon or wagon with the Ghost Extension to ensure full coverage.
Originally posted by #Gala25:
Nice guide buddy. Making all wagon ghost achievemnt also can be obtained from shop. Buy ghost perk wagon and deattach all other wagons and attach that wagon. Then you will get achivement.

6. Others
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.1. High Earner
Earn 8 bolts on a single map
You can gain bolts through various means:
  • Completing a level (Easy +2 | Medium +3 | Hard +4 | Extreme +5)
  • Picking them up during the level (+1 per level | +2 if the Double Bolt Station Modifier applies)
  • Picking up cassettes (+2)
  • Completing tasks (+1 for first task | +2 for second task)

For instance, playing an extreme map (+5) and completing both tasks (+3) will reward you with 8 bolts in total.

Notes:
  • The Nether Cartridge increases the probability of extreme levels appearing by 15% per cartridge equipped.
  • The Money Maker Cartridge increases the chance of Double Bolt Modifiers appearing by 7%.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.2. Stacked Tool Belt
Have 20 cartridges equipped at the same time
You need 20 cartridges in total, not 20 unique ones.

Ways to get cartridges:
  • Beating a boss level.
  • Going to Cartridge Vault stations on extreme maps (As mentioned in “High Earner”, the Nether Cartridge increases the chance of getting extreme maps).
  • Slot Machine stations always have one machine available for winning one cartridge. The fourth roll on the same machine is always a win, meaning the cartridge will cost you between 4 to 16 bolts (without discounts).
  • Crate stations rarely offer cartridges of which only one player can choose from.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.3. Hexnut Hoarder
Collect a total of 200 hexnuts
You gain Hexnuts by:
  • Finishing a normal level or boss level (+1).
  • Passively using the Hexnut Tree Cart Wagon from the ??? Station in Island Interchange.
The wagon produces one Hexnut every 360s at level 1, reducing to 60s at level 6. Further upgrades don’t seem to significantly decrease the timer.
Spending more time per level and selecting Long Map Modifiers can help increase Hexnut gains. However, you will probably naturally unlock this achievement while going for 100%, so there is no need to grind specifically for it.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.4. Sky High
Build a stack of 20 tracks
Craft 20 spare tracks and drop them all on the same tile to stack them. As long as you do not rush it, you can even achieve this on the first map.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.5. Well Informed
Complete the Handbook
To unlock this achievement, you need to complete all tabs in the Handbook except the "Achievements" tab.

Requirements:
  • Visit all station types
  • Use all cartridges at least once (including the Empty Cartridges):
Obtainable from Biome Junction, Cartridge Overwriter, Cartridge Vault, Crate or Slot Machine Stations, or the Cartridge Toaster Wagon
Note: Action Cartridges only appear in Biome Junction and Crate Stations
  • Interact with all NPCs (exact method unconfirmed - simply encountering or defeating them seems to work, as we unlocked them through normal gameplay)
  • Use all wagon extensions (including the negative ones)
Obtainable from Blacksmith, Crate, or Shop Stations
  • Use every wagon
Obtainable from Crate, Shop, and ??? Stations
Note: The Versus Constructor Cart is only available in Versus Mode
  • Buy all engines
Note: You can check the Handbook at any time during a run by opening the gear tab in the top right and selecting "Handbook". However, this will temporarily remove your character from the game until you close it.

If you need more information about what you’re missing, you can find it here: https://wiki.unrailed.gg (NPCs can be found on the page of the corresponding biome).
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.6. Watch the World Burn
Set a spiderweb field on fire
As mentioned in “On your Tippy-Toes”, you need a Torch Cartridge equipped. Just stand on a web without holding any mining tools and wait for a short moment.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.7. Get a Life
Win a life from the slot machine
This requires getting an extra life for the train from the Slot Machine Station, so you can use any train except the Toy Engine for this. While using the slot machines, there is a small chance that you win a life. We were lucky to get this quickly by using multiple Lucky Punch Cartridges from the start. We're not sure if this directly increases the chance of getting a life, but it does improve overall win rates at the slot machine. Since the extra life can only be won by successfully hitting a jackpot, Lucky Punch is at least indirectly helpful.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.8. A Particular Taste
Equip the same cartridge 5 times
This is fairly easy to achieve on longer runs. You can make it easier by starting the run with 3 of the same cartridge (e.g. the Stacking Cartridge) and collecting more as you progress.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.9. Felix & Mathilde's Biggest Fan
Find all soundtrack casettes
Each biome contains 3 cassettes. The first two spawn randomly in place of regular bolts and the third cassette of the biome is always on the boss level.

Notes:
  • Cargo Canyon Boss: Grab the cassette quickly before the boss destroys it.
  • Boiler Badlands Boss: The cassette is located just beyond the station at the end of the level.

The other 3 cassettes are:
  • Back on Track: Found in the main menu, just below the Cartridge Hub.
  • Toot-torial: Hidden behind a rock in Level 2 of the Train-ing Facility (Tutorial).
  • Brakedance: Also hidden behind a rock in Level 3 of the Train-ing Facility.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.10. What Goes Around, Comes Around
Let the sandworm destroy its own hive
The sandworm hives often spawn on the edge of the map, but for this achievement, it is easier to do it when you have more room around the sandworm.

Follow these steps whenever the worm is not attacking anyone:
  1. Since the worm only attacks whenever a player dashes, make sure no one dashes from this point onward.
  2. Dash right next to the hive.
  3. Stay directly beside it and walk away just before the worm attacks (or let it take you down along with it).
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.11. Tryhard
Play 2 extreme maps in a row
The probability of encountering an extreme level can be increased by using Nether Cartridges (as stated in “High Earner”).

Another way to increase the chances is to start another cycle by ignoring the HQ. Doing so raises the base difficulty of all levels by 1, meaning that all Hard maps become Extreme maps. This allows more levels - such as the Crate Station - to appear as Extreme levels.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.12. Unlucky Ducky
Lose 3 times in a row at a slot machine station
As long as you’re not using Lucky Punch Cartridges, this should unfortunately be easy to obtain. Failing 3 times requires 12 bolts (4 per attempt).
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.13. Just Buy the Whole Place
Buy everything a shop station offers
Go to a shop station and buy all 3 extensions and 4 wagons. Below are the expected costs based on different Modifiers. You can probably revert the purchase after unlocking the achievement, but this is untested as we are not sure if the achievement unlocks upon buying everything, or starting the next level.

Each shop station normally offers 3 extensions and 4 wagons for sale. The Extra Stock Modifier adds a fourth extension, while the Sale Modifier reduces all prices by 1 bolt.

  • Normal level shop: (1 wagon with debuffed extensions, 1 wagon without extensions and 2 wagons with an extension)
    • without any Modifiers: 29 bolts
    • with the Sale Modifier: 22 bolts
    • with the Extra Stock Modifier: 33 bolts
    • with the Sale and Extra Stock Modifier: 25 bolts.
  • Extreme level shop: (1 wagon with 1 extension, 2 wagons with 2 extensions and 1 wagon with 3 extensions, all wagons are level 2)
    • without any Modifiers: 36 bolts
    • with the Sale Modifier: 29 bolts
    • with the Extra Stock Modifier: 40 bolts
    • with the Sale and Extra Stock Modifier: 32 bolts.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.14. Scapegoat
Have a Junk Golem shoot down another one
For this you need to be in the Boiler Badlands biome.
  1. Find 2 Junk Golems with an unrestricted line of sight to each other.
  2. Stand between them, directly in their line of sight.
  3. Dodge the torpedo when a Golem fires a torpedo at you. This will make the torpedo hit the other Golem.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.15. Safe Work Environment
Reach the credits without using any explosives
As the description suggests, no explosives are allowed for the entire run. This means you cannot use the Dynamite and Torpedo Wagon as well as the Cannon Cart (last unconfirmed). Additionally, picking up dynamite that spawns in Monorail Meadows instantly voids your eligibility, so avoid it at all costs.
For general gameplay advice, refer to the sections "Strategy", "Runs", and "Distance", which serve as a useful foundation.

Recommended Starting Cartridges:
  • 2 options for the Pathmaker: (Regardless of which setup you choose, adding more of these cartridges will be very helpful.)
    • 1) 1x Throwing, 3x Brute Force Cartridges
    • 2) 1x Throwing, 1x Brute Force, 1x Turbo-Pickaxe, 1x Turbo-Axe
  • Train Manager can remain unchanged.
Brute Force
15% chance per cartridge to break orthogonally placed rocks or trees when hitting one (100% chance with 5 cartridges).
Turbo-Pickaxe / Turbo-Axe
Increases your mining speed for rocks/trees by 20% per cartridge.

Setup:
Your train composition is mostly a matter of preference, but we recommend using:
  • 1x Ghost Wagon
  • 1x Tank Wagon (Increases water capacity, meaning less downtime for cooling)
Because this run doesn’t need to last long, a complex wagon setup isn’t necessary - these wagons simply make things easier.

Strategy:
  • Upgrade the Crafter and Storage Wagon to Level 3 or 4, then rush through all biomes.
  • Since you'll be clearing paths without explosives, ensure that all lanes are at least 2-3 tiles wide (as mentioned in "Distance") to prevent getting stuck.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.16. Environment Friendly
Finish a map leaving nothing on the ground
The easiest way to complete this is in the Train-ing Facility by mining only the necessary amount of wood and iron to finish the map, without leaving any extra resources or tracks behind. Tools can be left on the ground.

Example: Level 1 in Train-ing Facility - You need at least 5 tracks, so only mine 5 trees and rocks.
If you want to complete this achievement alongside “Nothing Left Behind”, check the reference image from that achievement.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.17. Nothing Left Behind
Mine every resource on a single map
Mine all the trees and rocks on the ground. Trees on top of mountains do not count towards the achievement. The Train-ing Facility is a good place to do this, just like “Environment Friendly”.

Example: Level 1 in Train-ing Facility - You don’t need to use up all resources, unless you’re combining this with “Environment Friendly”. In that case, leave one track on the Crafter Wagon and use the 4 spare wood to make bridge blocks.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.18. Overachiever
Mine all the resources in the main menu
You need to use the Dash Demolition Cartridge. Simply dash into all rocks and trees until they are fully mined. This can be a bit tedious, but persistence pays off.

Note: One rock at the top is slightly hidden, so make sure to destroy it as well.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.19. I Am Speed
Reach a speed of over 0.5 m/s in Endless mode
In order to achieve this, you need to stay in a biome long enough. This is easier on the later biomes, since your train and cartridges are better. Refer to the sections “Strategy” and “Distance” for help.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.20. Bounty Hunter
Finish 10 tasks in a row without failing one
Most tasks are straightforward and can only be failed if forgotten or ignored (e.g., due to high train speed). To improve your chances:
  • Attempt this achievement at low train speed to have enough time to complete each task.
  • Only buy additional tasks if you are certain you can complete them.
Tips for some tasks:
Build at most 2 tracks ahead for 0:40 seconds
If you're struggling with this, bring prepared tracks so you can wait in front of the train for the full 40 seconds. To be as efficient as possible, wait until right before the train derails (indicated by a bar at the top of the screen), then place a track.
Each player has to mine a rock / tree
Using explosives such as dynamite or torpedoes also counts.
Hold tools for less than 0:20 at a time
Buckets and other holdable items (dynamite, etc.) also count as tools. If you can’t track the exact time, watch the symbol at the top left - there’s a countdown bar. Otherwise, just drop the tool every few seconds and pick it up again.
Kill no animals
This is easy to fail - especially when using explosives. So use them carefully!
Even if you're arguably only indirectly responsible or not at all, the task can still fail in certain cases, such as:
  • A spider dying from a mushroom explosion.
  • A deer/doe vanishing due to a mole hole appearing right under them.
Other things to watch out for:
  • Ducks die if you place a bridge on top of them.
  • Junk Golems also count as animals
Only one player is allowed to carry the axe / the pickaxe / the bucket / rails
Make sure not to leave the given item(s) directly next to the train or on the prepared path, or the other player might accidentally pick it up.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.21. Take the Scenic Route
Take over 20 minutes to reach the station
We recommend doing this on slow train speed. The best time to attempt this is shortly after entering a new biome because of the speed reduction from the previous boss fight.

Setup:
  • Toy Engine or Hydro Coaler (slowest trains)
  • Prepare a lot of tracks in advance.
  • Have a timer of 20 minutes to keep track of your progress.
  • Avoid placing too many tracks ahead, as this speeds up the train.
  • Loop around and create a tight, winding path to stretch out the time.

Note: The achievement unlocks only after reaching the station.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.22. Wrong Way!
Turn the train around and go back 30 m
Make the train go backwards for 30 tiles. This maneuver requires at least 60 tracks (30 tracks to go backward and 30 to return to your original path), so ensure you have enough resources available or have carried over enough tracks from previous levels.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.23. Out of Production
Complete a map without crafting a single track
You’ll need to rely entirely on pre-collected tracks from previous levels.

Setup:
  • Pile up at least 60 tracks (3 full stacks) in the previous level and use these to lay the path.
  • Make sure the Crafter Wagon is empty before attempting this.
  • Optionally remove the Storage Wagon to avoid crafting any tracks by accident.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.24. Shopaholic
Spend an hour in stations during a single run
This achievement tracks the total time spent in stations across a single game. If you haven’t unlocked it yet, simply leave the game running for an hour in the first station if you are missing this achievement.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6.25. Pack Mule
Carry a stack of 10 items or more
Since the base carrying capacity is 3 items, you’ll need to increase it using Stacking Cartridges and Crocodile milk.
Start the run with 2 (or 3) Stacking Cartridges on the Cargo Canyon biome and drink the milk from a crocodile for 5 temporary Stacking Cartridges. It can be easier to prepare a stack of 10 items before drinking the crocodile milk.

Conclusion
Thanks for reading our guide! We put a lot of effort and time into making this as comprehensive and helpful as possible, and we hope it helped you unlock all achievements in Unrailed 2. If you have any questions, feedback, or additional tips, feel free to leave a comment - it would be greatly appreciated!
