Temporian Guide
By rodrigocns
There is too much information scattered around the discussion forums and small guides, so I wanted to gather up everything in one place.
As more info is added I will *try* to keep updating. Comment my mistakes or information that is not in the guide so I can do better.
Also, English is not my native language.

Intro
Hi! I like organized information, and at the time writing this guide, there is information about card recipes all over the place (various guides, discussion forums, etc).

About the game:
Temporian is a simple card game about exploration and resource management (like Stacklands and WitchHand, but turn based!).

About the gameplay:
There are various recipes related with card combinations. The card order is irrelevant, only what cards are there. There is a recipe book inside the game that will register almost* all recipes and cards discovered (some are secrets that wont go there).

About this guide:
There are some notations I used to make it easier for me to write down all I know.
  • Recipes starting with W or WT means that it uses a Worker or a Worker with Tools
  • I tried to keep all card Names starting with capital letters, like Worker, Logs, CowCarcass...
  • There are alternative recipes for the same card. I kept the alternative resources inside parenthesis with an OR between them, and the fixed resources outside the parenthesis, like so: Parchment: W + (Fiber + Water + Press OR Leather + Tools)
  • I left some comments like {this}, and marked recipes I find important like this
  • Normally, recipes with more expensive resources will yield better results, like more durability from Tools or other cards.
  • [1] and [2] are references about MAKAIROSI guide and Jessica comments. More inthe acknowledgements section.
  • This game is about exploration and discovery. All content of this guide is expected to be spoilers for your first experience. Use it as you see fit. {No, really. Try to maybe play once before checking here. Use this guide for the other harder runs and scenarios}
  • Speaking of difficulty, the first game you play is the tutorial/easy game. You only contribute to the unlock section in games with normal difficulty or higher. They make the recipes always available for you to check.

Have fun!

Extras/Secrets
{always open for more information!}

Traveler:
Appears randomly, stays for 3 turns when on table. You can trade with him, most stuff gives raw food, ideas give 2x cooked food, Wine(aged) gives leather and a special dialogue(?), and there is a way to have him join you [2] (Jessica said truffled meat also works. I suppose there is a third one).

Idea cards:
You can consume them with Leader + Research to add the entry to your recipe list OR you can do the combo they say to discover the new card and use it with the Traveler to receive 2 cooked mid foods.

Carvings and other Purple Cards:
They can be given instantly (without needing a turn) to other Workers to boost their morale[2]. More recipes

Temporian/Damaged:
For common items, hold them stopped in time (durability stays same), can only hold one item at time. The card can only enter once in the Temporian/Damaged device.

Useful for pigs to consume less edible food, or for expensive foods for the Traveler to keep them from spoiling. Also useful to get expensive things to your next run, like high tier tools [2].

Another interesting and nefarious use is absorbing the lifetime from workers and giving it back to the Leader. There is an ending and achievement about this. Check ref. [1] for more.

Specialization:
Worker cards (not the Leader!) can earn specializations (goes from orange to blue). You can right click the orange workers to remind yourself what worker was focusing in what task.

Temple/School:
You will be given a choice to educate your workers or let them worship the Temporian. One gives the School, the other gives the Temple. Check MAKAIROSI guide [1] for more info on it.

Wolf:
Found Wolf pup in forest. When pup, give bones to increase his max HP [2].
When adult, he can bring common resources (fiber, stone, stick) from table and from forest. He can also turn Chickens into Poultry. He eats just like other Workers but I think he has no mood counter.

Kitty:
Found it at random with Leader + Rod + River. It reacts with other Workers, but i have no idea how it works.

ZOMBIES!:
There seems to exist zombies. When a corpse stays in the open, it will rot (become green). Reanimate this corpse and you get yourself a mindless zombie.
"- You can revive people as zombies; they eat raw food, don’t age, but will turn on you if starved!"Full credits to Jessica [2]

[h1[Tavern:[/h1]
Functions like a shed and a press [2]. Never heard about the tavern. Maybe it has to do with the drunk scenario?

I don't know if it's allowed beacause of spoliers, so feel free to remove, but fire/oven + water or oil + foods + worker make interesting food stuffs...

Thanks for this guide! I coulnd't work out what to do with the traveler and the worker cards, despite of multiple tries with all sorts of stuff. I got my cat to adulthood, and think that it maybe is there for extra happiness or catching mice... ;) Haven't figured that one out yet either...

Played it yesterday for the first time for real and sadly my leader died of old age before completing the mission, but I'll keep on trying! Best regards, Asankha

This is really useful. One thing I note, however, is that the wolf only needs food when it's a pup, I believe. A fully grown wolf can get their own food. I also think the wolf does better in the forest when paired with a worker.

Great guide!
