How-To Unlock All Relics

Here is a field guide for every relic unlock in the DitD full release! Let me know what other tutorials you would like to see!

This kinda doubles as an achievement guide since the Steam Achievements are linked to these unlocks as well. My goal with the how-to's is to give you as much information as possible in a condensed format. But I'll also give tips / tricks that I think will help players as well.

Some of the relics are really powerful, or central to certain build synergies. Best of luck to you as you Die in the Dungeon and fill your Codex!

Starter Relics
High Ground
  • Win a run as Cinder
Scarlet Flask
  • Unlock Lisver
  • Random Event, choose to Protect the Corpse
Winged Sandals
  • Win a run as Lisver
Tungsten Hand
  • Unlock Mango
  • Defeat the final boss on D1 difficulty or higher
Bento Box
  • Win a run as Mango

Blindfold of Rage
  • Defeat your first enemy

Bloody Fang
  • Defeat two enemies in a single turn
  • Use the splash dice from Cinder’s start hand to kill early floors in 1 hit with a fly and caterpillar
  • Use a flash die to kill 1 enemy, and then kill another with the rest of your dice
  • Use area attack, lethal attack, or a relic like Star YoYo to deal a lot of damage to multiple enemies

Reptilian Scales
  • Deal 20 damage in 1 hit
  • Simplest to boost a single tile with terrain while defending
  • 25 damage easily in range for boost attack and mirror dice

Medieval Scope
  • Defeat the Cockroach withOUT an accurate kill
  • Cockroaches will respawn with greater HP when killed without accurate killing
  • Overpower them this way 3 times to defeat them

Leader Badge
  • Accurate Kill an enemy that has more than 25 max HP
  • The Spitter is a good enemy to try for this achievement. As long as you do damage to him, his attack stays at 3
  • Get the enemy low and then save a low boost or basic attack to get the correct amount to deal the exact amount of damage as he has HP left

Boss Relics
Shadow Cloak
  • Defeat the Croissant Chef Boss
Forgotten Manifesto
  • Defeat the Scorpion Boss
Guidance Finger
  • Defeat the Queen Bee Boss
Ring of the Berserker
  • Defeat the Mantis Boss
Sacred Maul
  • Defeat Mosquito Duke Boss

Extremist Aura
  • Win on D1 Difficulty
  • D1 difficulty removes free samples from the shop
  • Avoid early shops and instead go for battles to earn coin
  • Enemies are stronger, have new actions

Bob the bob
  • Win on D3 Difficulty
  • D3 has the other difficulty levels and also removes relics from the treasure tiles
  • You can still get relics from elite battles - look for relics early you can build synergies around. This is a more reliable method than avoiding battles in favor of events as you also get coin and potentially dice you want for your build

Moon Chakram
  • Win on D4 difficulty
  • D4 has the other difficulty levels removes free samples from the shop
  • Avoid early shops and instead go for battles to earn coin

Drosophilia Pheromones
  • Defeat 100 enemies
  • You can easily encounter and kill over 50 enemies in a full run.
  • The Croissant Chef Boss is a great opportunity to farm enemies

Sweet Pastries
  • Break 50 glass dice in one run
  • Cinder starts with a glass heal die
  • Pick up another glass die, or gain glass from the grasshopper event
  • Glass is a useful tool to manage larger decks

Bullseye
  • collect 20 relics in a single run
  • Easiest to on D0 difficulty
  • Treasure tiles give relics, many events give relics
  • Aim for elite battles - they give relics and also more money to buy relics from shops

Ring of Exchange
  • Spend 300 coins
  • Coin dice usually come with glass, but that can be removed at the shops
  • Porcelain Witch increases the amount of coin per enemy
  • Aim for battles and elite battles to defeat more enemies for more coin

Nuclear Button
  • Spend 1000 coins

Baby Tick
  • Win a run in under 30 minutes
  • Change Game Speed in settings to fast
  • Avoid elite battles and late area battles

Monkey Paw
  • Win a run after having gone down to 1 HP
  • Choose a safe place to attempt (such as a battle right before a campfire)
  • Kill all enemies save for a weak enemy (such as a fly or moth) and ensure you have consistent block

Pendulum of Doom
  • Remove your starting relic
  • There is a random event to that allows you to sell a relic for 20 coins

Liquid Dexterity
  • Fill all board slots
  • Build a deck with D4 or hollow dice to have enough energy
  • Use draw dice or double dip to fill out your hand
  • Floors with Bees or Ants already have a few slots filled

Shining Firefly
  • start a battle with 40 HP
  • There are several events that increase max HP
  • Relics like Prismatic Mango, Golden Fruit, and Munchable Dopamine help increase max HP
  • Ensure you are at full HP when going to campfires to increase your map HP by 3

Dude, the problem with your guide is that you don't show how to unlock ??? thing. If I don't know what is the name of the ??? nor the icon of it, IDK what you are talking about! At least show "the this if for ???" Otherwise, I have no idea what you are talking about.
