Tips & Tricks
  • The higher your FPS; the more speed you'll have & more control you'll have in the air.
  • Press WASD in the air to control the direction.

  • You make a lot of noise when you are moving in your Pounce Charge (You make NO noise when not moving in Pounce Charge).

  • The Hitbox is kinda large; so as long as you hit them you get the pounce.

  • When you pounce a Hero, there is knockback that can possibly ledge other nearby Heroes.

  • If Heroes are good at tracking high pounce, wiggle mid-air with "A / D" to make the shot harder. If they’re very accurate, use low direct pounces with cover.

Hoist Time: 3.5 seconds
Reload (after Hoist): 5 seconds

Damage
Drag Damage
Hoist Damage
6
4
Damage every 1 second

- When you start to Hoist; you do 0 damage till the Hero is fully Hoisted.
- The Hitbox for the hook lingers for a bit so you can spin the Hitbox to try to grab someone (Useful for trying to grab someone who is Invisible or if you missed & another Hero is nearby).

Tips & Tricks
  • Drag speed is dependent on the Ping of who you hook. The lower their Ping, the faster you'll drag; the higher their Ping, the slower you'll drag.

  • Hold X to 3rd-person to make sure nothing moves you & to check that your hook isn't sticking out through terrain.

  • Dragging/Pushing someone off a ledge:
① If the Hero has Green HP; the will go into Ledge Hang.
② If the Hero has downed while on the hook; they will die without having a Ledge Hang.

  • Roof Hook: You can stand on a elevated location to Hook a Hero & Hoist the Hero so that they cannot be rescued

  • If the initial hook downs the hero; you will be stuck in place unable to move for a bit.

  • You can Hook a Hero that is airborne; but you cannot Hook a Hero when you are airborne.

  • If you know you are going to die; don't Hoist as you are doing 0 Damage. Just keep the dragging for Damage.

  • Once you hook a Hero, even if you die, the Hero will be stuck in-place & defenseless for a moment.

  • The hook cannot pass through obstacles even if it reaches Heroes.

  • Walking sideways is slow. Its optimal to hold W while shaking your head to make it more difficult to hit you.

  • Pressing WASD while in the air will allow you to move a small amount while falling, this will make it harder to get hit.

  • Packmaster's walking sound is extremely loud, but jumping is silent. So you can either:
① Spawn, then immediately jump down from an elevated spot to fall onto a Hero making very little noise (will make 1 step sound).
② Jump, then Spawn to fall without making noise. This will also give you the a bit more momentum from being a Ghost.

Stagger Immunity
When Staggered, Troll is immune to Stagger for 3 seconds.

Tips & Tricks
  • Troll's POV when Crouching / Standing will not be consistent so please be aware by either tea-bagging for a moment or by Holding X to 3rd-person to check. Here are factors to keep in mind for your Standing/Crouching animation:
If you are Crouched & you Mantle; you are STANDING (POV: Crouching).
If you are Crouched & you Fall ANY distance; you are STANDING (POV: Crouching).
If you are Crouched & get Staggered; you are CROUCHING (POV: Standing).

  • Turn your head right as you Vomit to reduce the chance of being shot in the head.
  • Vomit damages / kills friendly AI Units.

  • Melee attacks & Vomit can hit through walls & floors / ceilings.

  • All Melee attacks & Vomit can interrupt Revives.

  • Can Heavy Attack while Mantling.

  • Can walk through Sister of the Thorn's "Thorn Wall".

Tips
  • When you call in the Vermintide, it gives an audio sound in the direction of where you are (even in Ghost Mode).

  • The Vermintide bar carries over between rounds so if you are near the end of a round; just hold it for next round.
Patrols
  • If a Patrol spawns, that means there is no Monster spawn for that round.

  • Patrols will spawn at the same spot on the other team, but not guaranteed to be the same type of Pat depending on the map. (ex.Righteous Stand; Round 2, Team 1's Patrol can be a Skaven, but then Team 2's can be Chaos).

Skaven Patrol
10 Stormvermin (3 Shielded)
10 Stormvermin (2 Shielded)

Chaos Patrol
2 Chaos Warriors, 2 Maulers, 4 Raiders, & 4 Raiders (Shield)
Loot Rat
  • If a Loot Rat spawns, it will be in the same spot for both teams on that same round

  • They do NOT drop the same loot for each team. Will be random for both teams

Funny Hooks
Originally posted by FatsharkLev:
Intentionally hooking someone in such a way that they end up inside the geometry of the map / under the map / out of map bounds is an exploit. Don’t do it.
Roof Hooks
Originally posted by FatsharkLev:
Hooking a player so they end up in a place that’s unreachable by Heroes but reachable by Pactsworn (such as a roof), we’d rather you didn’t do it, but it’s not a bannable offense at this time.
  • This means its that we can do these & is fair game. Plus there are clear areas for Roof Hook spots & can be played around / has counterplay.

Patch 6.5.0
https://forums.fatsharkgames.com/t/vermintide-2s-7th-anniversary-is-live-now/105472
  • Hopefully this means that this is now fixed & dont have to worry about it anymore but time will tell
Skaven Spawning
At the start of the game, you will have a set spawn.

Once killed, you can choose to spawn on any player that you are spectating (Hero or Skaven). You can change who you are spectating with M1 or M2.
AI Packsworn
Health
In general, the health value corresponds to the Recruit difficulty, except for Elite enemies [vermintide2.fandom.com], for them, it corresponds to the Veteran difficulty.

Chaos Warrior with Shield
Max Shield Health decreased by 25% (from 8 to 6). This means that you will be able to open shield a little faster than on Recruit difficulty.

Damage
In general, the damage value corresponds to the Recruit difficulty, except:

Stormvermin with Shield
Sweep / Riposte Attacks
Damage increased by ~33% (from 15 to 20).
