OHV All-in Guide (English)
By jocking
I don't like how this game lacks English guides, so here's an all-in guide for OHV based on personal experiences and translated guides from the internet.

1. The Beginning
Your mother wakes you up telling you that she'll go to Germany to work on a cucumber farm with your aunt. You have to take care of yourself from now on.

1.1. Your immediate surroundings, your home
Currently, your house has your room, a bathroom and the kitchen, the rest is inaccessible. In your room is the bed, where you can skip time (sleep) and save the game. There's also a wardrobe, where you can customize your outfit. In the bathroom you can sit on the toilet and have a bath, but neither of them have any function at the moment. You can use to bathroom mirror to change your appearence. In the kitchen you find a fridge, a meat grinder / sausage filler for making sausages, a telephone and a stove, each have a function which will be described later. In your garden you have a garage, a sausage smoker (next to the wood pile) and an entrance to the basement, where you can improve your strength.
You also have 2 vehicles on your property, a green van and a home made buggy, which you can cusomize. The van is great for moving larger items and to get around.

1.2. Phone numbers
You can use the phone in the kitchen to call others. These can be found in game, mostly by listening to the radio.
  • 49 221 222 - Your mother's number, you should call this when you first go to the kitchen. (Then call it again once you came back from the junkyard after talkin with the owner about the car.)
  • 444 55 66 - Radio station number, by answering correctly (Stanislaw), you can win a bunch of cucumbers. You can get your prize at the post office in town.
  • 321 45 66 - Motorfixer's number. You need to add this to the engine oil once you have the car. It costs 5 PLN per call, then you can get the package at the post office in town.
  • 321 45 67 - You can get a fuel magnetizer device (some kind of tuning) through this number. It costs 20 PLN.
2. Your first (second) day - getting a job and a car
2.1. A legal job and other first day tasks
Your CV is on your desk, pick it up and put it away in your inventory with MMB. You'll need it for your first (legal) job. Get in the van and turn right. Drive until you see a bus stop. Get out and try to use the payphone - as they are a save point (and a way to fast travel once you unlocked them all, there are 4 in total). At the bus stop turn right and drive until you get to the main road, where you should turn right again. Then drive for a few minutes and after 2 ponds on both sides of the road there will be an intersection, turn right here again. Go until the very end of the road where you will see an industrial looking place with concrete fence and a truck (construction company). Go into the building and talk with the owner at the door. Give him your CV. He will "test" you before fully employing you, but it's already too late, so come back tomorrow.

The next day go to back and talk with him again. He will give you the keys to the truck which you should first use to take some scrap (car wreck) to the junkyard. The junkyard is in town, so head back the way you came and the first intersection turn right (at the petrol station), then left. The junkyard will be on the left side (metal mesh fence). Drive in and drop the wreck somewhere in there by pushing the green button with the UP arrow (the engine must run for this), then get out and open the 2 latches at the back to open the rear door (to close it again, close the latches and it will automatically close). Look at the red car behind the skip and talk with the owner, he is willing to sell the car to you for 500 PLN. (You'll do this later.) Regarding the mission, you don't need to talk to him or receive money from him, just head back to your boss.

Your next task will be to deliver some coal. Reverse to the coal pile and stop near it, your truck will fill up automatically. Then drive back to the main road and turn right, then left at the next intersection. Follow the road in the forest until you reach some buildings and a sign above the road. Turn left here and drive to the end of the road until you see the factory with the big chimney. The drop point is next to the gates, drop your coal here and head back. Halfway on the way back, in the forest you will see a small wet looking clearing. Stop and you will find some rims, tires and hubcaps on the right side, which you can use on your future new car. Head back and talk with your boss, he will now employ you and you can keep the truck keys (unlimited use). Go home with the truck and call your mother's number, she'll send you the required money to buy the car. The junkyard closes at 3 PM, the post office at 4 PM, so only go there right now if you still have time before closing. Go to the post office with the truck to get the money. Then go to the junkyard, reverse next to the car behind the skip and talk with the owner. When you buy the car, it will be loaded on the truck automatically.
Head back home and unload the car in your garage along with the wheels you found in the forest (if you didn't unload them when you went home to call your mom).

After this when you get home you will get a call from the junkyard owner who will have some job for your if you go and talk to him (scrap collecting).

2.2. A not so legal job
If you go into town, then follow the road through the main square, you'll reach the new(er) part of town with all the apartment blocks. Turn right at the first intersection (there are some small stores there), then right again. Drive until you see a row of garages, turn left in front of them. At the end of the row of garages, there's a different looking building with wooden doors and some car parts leaning against it. If you stay around a bit, you will hear 2 guys talking about some "not too legal" jobs. Once they finished, go home and come back after 10 PM. When you come back, you will be able to interact with them and join their catalytic converter stealing "club". The entry fee is 10 PLN, after paying them you can buy a metal saw (5 PLN), a car jack (10 PLN) and lockpicks (3 PLN) from them. You can also sell the catalytic converters here for 50 PLN each. You need a metal saw and a car jack if you want to steal catalytic converters.

The first (second) day is now over, from now you can use the truck to earn money.
3. Fixing the OHV
Your car is called OHV in game, which is based on a Polish car called FSO Polonez made in the '80s. You need to fix it to be able to use it.
To fix your car, you need the following parts from the part shop (next to the petrol station, on the left after you turned towards the junkyard):
  • Motor fixer (5 PLN, call 321 45 66 and get it at the post office)
  • Expansion tank (5 PLN)
  • Clean air filter (6 PLN)
  • 4 Spark plugs (8 PLN)
  • 4 bottles of 15w40 oil (8 PLN)
  • Oil filter (10 PLN)
  • 5 bottles of coolant (10 PLN)
  • Radiator sealant (3 PLN)
  • Differential (30 PLN)
  • 2 bottles of 80w90 oil (12 PLN)
That's 97 PLN in total, but to get the car running you don't really need the new diff and the oil for it, so 55 PLN is enough.

When you have the money I suggest heading back to your workplace and leave the truck there and get back home with your van. There's a shopping bag in the kitchen, put it in the back of your van and go to the parts shop. When you stop with the van (or your car), always stop the engine and apply the handbrake, without that the physics engine can freak out when you jump in the back of your van, causing it to fly around. Get the shopping bag and put everything you can in it, the rest you have to drop in one by one. Head back home and unload your stuff at the garage.
To replace the expansion tank you need a small wrench and loosen the 1 bolt holding it. Put in the new tank and tighten the bolt. Pour in the radiator sealant, then the coolant.
Pick up the boards from under the car and go under it. Remove the oil filter and loosen the oil drain plug. Once the dripping stops, put the new oil filter on and the tighten the drain plug. Pour in the oil and the motorfixer.
Remove the ignition wires one by one and remove the old spark plugs, then put in the new ones and put the wires back.
Connect your battery charger to the battery, once the needle goes down (close to 0 A), the battery is charged. It can take a few in game hours.
Put the tires on the rims and put the wheels on the vehicle, then tighten the wheel bolts with the wheel wrench.
Once the battery is charged, get in the car, release the hand brake and turn it on (the key is not visible but it's on the right side behind the steering wheel). The car should now work.

The missing stock radiator grill and the 2 bumpers can be found in the new part of town, not far from the catalytic converter thieves, next to a red metal garage.
4. Earning more money
4.1. Scrap collecting
After the junkyard owner calls you and you go and talk with him, you can now find random piles of junk around the map. These are usually bonnets and doors of other cars. Just go and put them into your van and bring them to the junkyard, you can get 2 PLN for each piece.

4.2. Coal delivery
The same as you did it on your first work day, but different locations. Currently there are 4 coal delivery locations in game:
  1. The farm/factory where you delivered on your first day.
  2. In the old part of town which you can reach either by turning left at the Post Office or at the other end of the square - at the Butcher's Shop.
  3. Fire station. From the coal pickup point you need to head back towards the town, but don't go into the town, continue on the main road. After some time you'll reach a different area (different colored road) where you still have to drive some more. The fire station will be on the left side, it looks like a temple from a distance because of the tower next to it.
  4. Shepherd. The same direction as the fire station, but further away. You go up some serpentine roads and you'll see some sheep and 2 buildings on the right side.
4.3. Stealing catalytic converters
There are currently 2 locations where you can steal catalytic converters from. They are 2 houses next to each other. When you come from the old town, don't turn right at the first intersection, turn left onto a dirt road at the second. Then turn left again. You will see 2 houses where dogs are "patrolling" around the garden - there are some western cars in there which have that "tasty" catalytic converter.
You should come here with the car jack and the metal saw while driving your OHV, as it's much easier to jump the fence from that than the van. You have to make sure to approach the fence and jump over it when the dog is not there, because once it "locks onto you" it will only de-aggro once you go home and sleep.
Once you are in, follow the same route as the dog, crouching behind it. Go to the car this way, put the jack under it and lift it up (8-9 turns), then follow the dog again.
Next round, equip your saw and lay under the car and cut one of the two points. Get out from under the car (X button) and follow the dog again.
Next round same thing, but the other cutting point. Put away your saw, pick up the catalytic converter, get out from under the car and throw the converter over the fence. Do the same with the car jack.
Then jump over the fence using the garden furniture available in both gardens. Then take the converter(s) to your "club members" to sell for 50 PLN each. These 2 cars "regrow" their converters, you can use this as a money farming method.
PS: There are some OHV tuning parts in one of the gardens, 4 alloy wheels, 2 coil spring stiffeners and 2 stiffer leaf springs. You can get these over the fence the same way as the catalytic converter - just make sure the dog doesn't lock on you, it takes multiple rounds to get everything out.
5. Tuning the OHV
5.1.1. Store
Once you have enough money, you can buy tuning parts for your car, air filter (20 PLN) and spark plugs (32 PLN). There will be a noticeable increase in performance (but don't expect much).

5.1.2. Junkyard
You can get alloy wheels and tuning seats here.

5.1.2. Other
On the westmost end of the new part of town there is an allotment garden, with a tall hedge as a fence around it. There are 3 storage sheds in there for which you need lockpicks to get in (main entrance, 3 gates and 3 shed locks). In these sheds you can find a body kit (rocker covers and door panels), tuning radiator grill, tuning interior door panels, new instrument panel and a different set of hubcaps. You can get lockpicks from your catalytic converter thief buddies.
There are some tuning parts in the sheperd's barn as well. You have to go there after 10 PM and bring a lot of lockpicks if you want them (as this one has a quite difficult lock).

5.1.3. From the garden where you steal the catalytic converter from
There are some alloy wheels (the same ones you can buy at the junkyard), stronger leaf springs and coil spring stiffeners here. Steal them while keeping an eye on the dog's routine.

5.2. Installing the tuning parts
This is quite straightforward, just use the same method as you used when first putting the car together, just exchange the parts with the tuning ones. The only one which might need some explanation are the springs. The first coil springs are quite easy, take off the wheels and use the angle grinder with a cutting disk on the springs, this will lower the front of the car. Then add the "borrowed" stiffeners to the springs. The rear is a bit trickier because you need to hammer the leaf springs on the anvil (next to the garage, a piece of rail) to make them lower - without this the rear will be too high. But you will need muscles to be able to do that, for that you have to do some weightlifting in your basement. These are some fast clicking minigames, you have to complete cycles otherwise they don't count. Be careful with the bench press, because it can kill you if you put on too much, go slowly, step by step. It took my around 5 days to training to get to a point where I was actually able to hammer the springs.
6. Food
Currently there's no hunger implemented in game, but there are some instances when eating can help. You can get faster stamina regeneration with fermented cucumbers and get a bonus muscle growth with sausages if you are working out.

6.1. Fermented cucumbers
You need to go to the market, which is at the main square of the old part of the town (turn right at the Post Office, don't forget your shopping bag). On the right of the entrance there's a booth where you can buy ingredients for the fermented cucumbers. You'll need 1 pack of cucumbers (6 pieces), 1 horseradish, 1 dill, 1 garlic, 1 empty jar and 1 jar lid. Bring everything home and unpack. Put the empty jar down and drop the cucumbers in one by one, there should be 6 in there. Then drop in the rest of the ingredients. Next, turn on the stove and light it with a match, put the kettle on. Take the kettle off when it starts to whistle, then pour the hot water into the jar. After this, put the lid on and wait for a day, you'll end up with perfect cucumbers at the end.

6.2. Smoked sausage
You need to go to the Butcher's Shop (opposite side of the main square, in front of the Post Office) and buy 2 of every ingredient (except the sausage stuffer attachment which you don't need and you only need 1 sausage skin).
Go home and make sure that the stuffing attachment is not on the meat grinder. Put the meats one by one on top of the grinder and turn the handle. When you have 6 piles of ground meat, put the stuffing attachment on the grinder and attach the sausage skin to it. Then put each ground meat on top of the grinder and turn the handle. When all 6 pieces are in the skin, the sausage is done, now you have to smoke it.
Take the sausage outside and hang it from the rod which is inside the barrel. Carefully put in 3 pieces of wood in the "fireplace" under the barrel and 1 piece of paper. Light the paper with a match, if done correctly all 3 pieces of wood should start burning and smoke will come out from the barrel.
You have to experiment with smoking because currently there can be multiple ways to reach the "perfectly smoked" status, which is needed for the workout bonus, here are 2 methods which can work:
  • 3 hours of smoking without the lid, then 6 hours with the lid on the barrel.
  • 5 hours with the lid on, then 3 hours without the lid.
7. Lockpicking
Lockpicking is one of the most confusing parts of the game, but it's not that hard.
First of course, you need to buy lockpicks from your thief friends. Then head for a padlock e.g. at the allotment gardens.
Equip your lockpick and click on the padlock. From now on, the only controls you'll need are W-A-S-D and your ears. Then follow these steps:
  1. press W once. If you hear a short drill-like sound, wait for the sound to end and press D to go for the next cylinder.
  2. press W again. If you hear the same sound as before, do the same thing and go to the next cylinder with D. If you heard a different sound, which sounds more like a lock unlocking, press S quickly right after you heard the sound. If you did it correctly, you should hear another lock unlocking-like sound again.
  3. repeat the above steps until you reach the last cylinder. If the lock is still not open, press A multiple times until you reach the beginning, and do the above steps on that as well.
If done correctly, the lock should open.

PS: There can be instances where the "lock unlocking" sound after pressing W sounds different, a bit crackling, like there's sand in the lock. When this happens, press W and S again, until you hear the proper sound.

PS2: The lockpicks have a durability, they will break after some time even when you do everything correctly.
