Description
READ ALL BELOW BEFORE STARTING
Player DLC: Class 35

By 1965 all of the Western Region’s hydraulics had been constructed: Class 14, Class 42 & Class 52 at Swindon Works, and Class 35 Hymeks constructed by Beyer Peacock. They changed to BR blue at the end of the 1960’s.

During this hazy summer midday in the late 1960’s: You will start by collecting your consist at the Appleford mineral facility, go forward towards Swindon – but have to stop for priority traffic, travel at 50mph to Swindon.

I have used a wagon that is mainland Europe not UK, but I thought it appropriate for this scenario due to the quarried stone colour - and similarity to what is used currently, as the facility is still serviced by rail today.

You do NOT need Southampton-Salisbury Extension

Route: Great Western Mainline to Swindon in the BR Blue Period (Workshop by Martin Freeman)

Extra DLC to route:
BR Blue Pack 01
Western Hydraulics Pack 01
Isle of Wight route (for London Underground stock and extra people)

I hope you enjoy the scenario. Please leave some feedback. I always reply.

Thanks for that mouse101uk. I got that wrong didn't I. I have been mixing up my scenarios lately and lost the plot a bit.

I really had to plan my braking on this one, but managed to complete it successfully. Thank you N.S. I was a little confused by the class 47s in sectors triple grey livery that was introduced on them in 1987 though.

Hello N.S.
Reached Swindon without any problems. Please note the high draw weight when braking.
Many thanks!
