Turn phases and Triggers
Draw Phase:
Up to 5 cards are drawn. Trigger any Draw abilities at this time if they entered the hand this turn.
Start phase:
Triggers after Draw but before Play every turn. Trigger any Start abilities.
Play phase:
Place up to three cards in the left, middle, or right slots.
Buff phase:
This happens after both players reveal their cards that they played in the Play phase. All Play triggers will complete at this point.
Scoring phase:
The score will be calculated. Declare a winner of the turn/round and/or who is winning the round at the moment.
Return Phase:
Trigger any Return abilities.
Overlock phase:
Trigger overlock if a player has 4 or 5 locked cards in hand.
Burn phase:
Trigger burn effect on any burning cards in hand.
