Very simple. I'm sure most people figured this out on their own. At the start of the game, the first thing you do is set a drill as far back as possible on the deposit, aimed towards the middle of it. I usually build the crusher 2nd. Make sure you leave plenty of room. Usually I try to build it pretty quick, so the drill only has had time to mine a couple chunks. I'll place the crusher so the collection box ends up where those chunks land. Not that it has to be precise at all. You just need room to place more drills later, if desired, to speed up the process. Just don't place the crusher too close to the first drill.

This way, you don't need the carrier bot workstation. Chunks are simply instantly grabbed by the crusher.
