From the main menu you might want to head over to Multiplayer > Open Location (or Connect to IP) menus, put the following address:
and click Start.

This will eliminate the need of having to input the address every time in order to connect to the server. Instead, you will be able to choose the server from the server list menu.

You may want to open MobileForces.ini file which should reside in your game's System folder. Here you may want to find a line that says [RageBrowserAll]. Once you find that line, you might want to replace the lines below it:

Save the file. Now, once you open the Multiplayer > Join Game > Internet Servers menu, you should see 3 servers (at the time of taking the screenshot below there were 3 servers). You might want to connect to the vanilla server called [US] Trump's Taj Mahal 100% American (Vanilla) by choosing it and clicking Start or by double clicking it.
Other servers that say "modded" do have modded game files, and if you will attempt to connect to them with vanilla game version you will get a mismatch.
