EXP
One of the most important things is to make EXP for your progress.
These actions gives you the following amount of EXP:

Money!
Whats more important in a supermarket game than money?
Follow these tipps for more success:
  • Always take the recommended marketprice! Customers dont want to pay a little more.
  • Check the news every day for price changes.
  • Buy more boxes of an item, if they are in sale.
  • Buy these advertising TVs as soon as possible (even they are annoying). They gives you passive income every day. But only, when customers are near them for few seconds.
  • Buying decoration licenses are often not necessary for unlocking all products. They are just for the eye. Unlock them only, if you really need these items or when you saved enough money.
  • To save money: Place only decorations you have to, to fulfill the license requirements.
  • Taking up a loan can be expensive. Do this only in emergency situations.
  • Fulfill an online order (Click & Collect) as fast as possible, because only 3 can exist at same time. Every new one will be vanished, when there are already 3 unsolved.
  • A completed online order (Click & Collect) without any mistakes brings you 50% more reward (and double EXP).
  • Go sure to have every item in your shop. An empty shelf means wasted money.
  • You can change the opening hours of your shop in the options menu. A longer opening time means more customer and more customers means more money (and EXP).
  • NEVER end the day, when there are customers in your shop. Even the game tells you to do this! You will waste a lot of money, items, progress and EXP.

  • Each recycled empty box gives you between $0.05 and $0.20 (recycling means: Just throw it in the trash bin of the delivery area).
  • Each furniture or wall/floor decor you throw into the trash bin gives you ~50% of the original price you paid before.

  • You dont pay only for buying a shop upgrade, but also every week for that (invoices). But the costs are pretty low.
  • Pay your invoices as soon as possible, because a fee for every unpaid day will be added.
  • Dont hesitate to hire cashiers for your shop. They are cheap and they help you a lot!
Advertising
Advertising is a great way to generate passive income (if you can ignore the colorful stuff).
But note:
  • Buy and place them as soon as possible for maximum gain!
  • You can have only 2 of each kind (2 little TVs, 2 medium TVs, and so on).
  • Make sure they are near the customers, because they only brings money when a customer is near them for few seconds.
  • Each TV has an indicator for how many customers brought money.
  • Each TV can bring money for max. 24 customers.
  • Every customer can "activate" more than 1 advertising.

Special tipp:
  • You can place the advertising out of your eyes. For example: In the ceiling or behind shelves.
  • Place your cashiers outside of the shop and also your advertisings.
Automatic-Restocking
You are looking for restockers or similar employees? Shop Simulator: Supermarket has a different feature for restocking shelves.
When you want to order an item, you can see (next to the "buy button") the "Automatic restocking".
  • As you can see, you have to sell an amount of each item before you can activate this.
  • Once (unlocked and) activated, the game is buying these items every 5-10 seconds for each shelf slot of this item, until its full.
  • When this happen, you will also get 1 EXP (like you restocked it yourself by hand) and you pay automatically the purchase price.
  • If you dont have enough money, this feature will pause until you can afford to buy an item.
  • Its recommended to have 2-3 shelf slots with the same item, because in late game you have 50+ customers are they can buy 30+ items at once. A single shelf slot maybe cant refill fast enough.
  • Also sold items from online orders (Click & Collect) matters for this.

  • There is no storage in this game and the Automatic restocking-feature dont take items from boxes (it doesnt matter if they are in your hands or laying on the ground). The items are always bought separately and is ignoring all of your boxes.

  • Due to a rare bug, the automatic restocking feature could stop when moving a shelf (with items who has this auto-feature). To solve this: Restart the game (the game autosave every 20 seconds).

Special tipp:
  • If you dont care about money or EXP, but you need "sold" items (for unlocking Automatic restocking and/or new items), you just could add up to 3 of these items in every online order. You will still get the full money and EXP for this online order, but no 50% money bonus and not double EXP. Also the 3 items are wasted. BUT! These 3 items are also counted as "sold".
Online Orders (Click & Collect)
This feature is a nice addition to customers who walks into your shop.
But different rules apply here:
  • When you accepted an online order, a violet box will appear in the delivery are. Take it, go to your shelves and put the requested items into the box. When you finished all items, go to your entrance with the violet box in your hand and click on the "click & collect"-counter infront of your shop to send the box and receive your reward.
  • A perfect online order (means: without any wrong or missed items) brings 50% more money and double EXP (50 instead of 25).

  • Online orders appear totally random (at your computer), but only during your opening times. Its totally normal to have only 2 online orders per day or 20 (because its really totally random!).
  • The longer your opening times, the higher chance for getting more online orders (but never more than 3 at once!).
  • You can fulfill the online orders also AFTER the opening times, but:
  • If you end the day, all online orders are cancelled. And:
  • You can have only max. 3 online orders at same time. Its recommended to fulfill them as quick as possible, but when you already have 3 online orders, you dont know if you will miss and waste new incomings (because you get no information about a missed online order when you have already 3).
  • You can ONLY check the asked items of an online order with your computer. If you forgot what you have to put in, you have to drop the box and go to the computer.
  • Its recommended to accept ONLY ONE online order at the same time, to avoid mistakes. There is no advantage in accepting more than one online order at same time.

  • Sold (or worng sent!) items through online orders also counting for selling requirements of unlocking new products or Automatic restocking.
  • Even you could put 3 items of a kind into the box, an online order only ask for 1 or 2 items of a kind. The max. different items per online order is 6.[/lis]
General tipps
Here a list of all general tipps I found out:
  • Before ordering a new product, check the requirement of the shelf type and when you placed the item into the shelf, dont forget to set a price (the current marketprice is always recommended). If you dont set a price, but a customer is taking this product, he/she will get it for free.
  • This game gives you a LOT of freedom for placing items. But be careful! If customers cant reach a shelf or a checkout, they could get stucked.
  • Advertisings must be placed near customers to bring money, but you could put them behind shelves or sticking them into the ceiling.
  • You can use your ENTIRE shop for furnitures and decorations. But dont forget, that customers cant go into your delivery or staff room. But you can place shelves and checkput in front of your shop. This works without problems.
  • If you need decorations for unlocking new stuff, but you have no free space for placing them or you just dont like these deco stuff, just sell it after unlocking or put it out ouf your eyes (in delivery area or staff room).
  • There is no typical sell function in this game. To "sell" furniture, deco and such stuff, you have to throw it into the trash bin (you will get money back. For furniture around 50%).
  • If you clicked your computer, but you just cant find your mouse cursor, then surely you clicked one of these stools, next to the computer.
  • Every checkout can have up to 3 customers in queue.
  • Every customer who wants to go to the checkout, but all queues are full, he/she will make a ZzZz-Emoji, but this has no effect. But:
  • The faster customer leaving the store, the faster new customers can arrive. So: Dont let them wait too long at the checkout.
  • When the shop closed (max. opening hours are reached), all customers without a basket in their hands will leave the shop immediately.

  • Your cashiers will work faster, depending on your shop level. The higher the level, the faster they work.

  • Is your game stuttering more and more, but your PC is strong enough (and this should happen), reduce the FPS (in the options menu). 60 is more than enough for this game.
  • If the stuttering is still happen, just restart the game.
  • The game is autosaving every 20 seconds.

  • Due a bug, the game dont pause properly when you press "esc" when your shop is open (even in singleplayer!). When you come back later, all customers freezes, but the time continued and the shop will close.
Achievements
With this tipps I want to help you to understand some achievements. Its only for achievements who are not clear to everyone.
In Multiplayer only the host receives achievements (clients dont)!

    All these achievements can ONLY get, when you sit yourself at the checkout. Your employees dont count for this!


  • Nonprofit Organization

    Additionally, you have to sell some items for free to reach this. Sit at your checkout and wait until customers bringing 10 items where you set the price to zero.

  • Ad Genius

    To make money with advertising, its VERY important, that customers are near the TVs or advertisement stands. You can see money floating above the ads when it works and a number in one of the 4 corners of each ad shows you the amount of influenced customers.

    To make it a bit easier: Shorter the opening hours of your shop to 8am - 8pm (instead of 4am - 11pm). If you ONLY need this achievements. you can end the days at 8pm even there are customers in your shop to make it as quick as possible.
