I was totally shocked by the fact that there is no guide on playing London2038 through Steam.

This guide is made for those who bought the game, was disappointed by this Korean atrocity against Hellgate fans and want to play the original game in multiplayer while having playtime displayed in their account.

To fix the game you will need:

• Original Hellgate: London game.
  (You can get a used copy on ebay, or get an image of the original game by other means)
  
• London 2038 account (https://account.london2038.com/signup)
  
• MP 2.0 TCv4 Patch (https://goo.gl/HYPjRH)
  
• London 2038 launcher 7zip file ( https://london2038.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/London2038LauncherV2.7z)

↓ ↓ ↓ After you've downloaded all the files, proceed to the next part ↓ ↓ ↓

1. Install Hellgate:London from your Steam library.
   
2. Open your game directory and delete all files except steam_api.dll
   
3. Install the original game to your C: drive. Make sure that you select English language and North America region.
   (This step is important, some may encounter issues with patch installation if done otherwise)
   
4. Install Patch_NA_Europe_Germany_MP_2.0_(1.0.86.4580)
   
5. Extract London2038LauncherV2.7z to the original game directory.
   
6. Copy all files to the Steam game directory and rename Launcher.exe to Hellgate.exe

Congratulations, now you are good to go!
All you need to do now is run the game from your library, wait for the updates to install, log in and enjoy fighting off hordes of undead wth your friends!
